Stay The Fuck Away!!

YOOOOO! STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY CON-ARTIST! Other alias names are: city moving company, move happy moving company, guardian moving company and another one I can't remember..but STAY THE FUCK AWAY! ..I got ripped off with my truck transportation financial bill when I had to drop it off at Matson. Then they damaged my bike when it arrived yesterday. They "claim" or "advertise" they are professional but after taking a chance with them, I learned in my experience these guys false advertise their services. Actions speak louder than words and its a dangerous game they are playing with good, hard working peoples money the way they do. I hope I'm the last review for this company so no one else has to go through this. The BBB needs to investigate and shut down this company.

I will always choose Cardinal.

I moved with Cardinal 3 times and Ihave had pretty good experiences so far. One of the times there was damage to my TV screen, but it was just tape that came off with cleaner. This last move about a month ago was the best yet. We had three guys, their names were Jose g., Frank, and Payton, who were so friendly and easy to work with. They made the move so easy. They were also easy to communicate with and took care of our stuff as if it were their own. They were courteous, hard-working and respectful, and my 70" television was moved without a hitch! If I could be guaranteed to get these three guys again, I will always choose Cardinal.

Long-distance move from Texas to Hawaii

Dishonest.

They lied about using subcontractors in order obfuscate their liability. See Case Number 3RC 13-1-495 in the Superior Court of the State of Arizona filed by the Moulton Law Firm, P.C.

They are comfortable telling lies. If they can stall an insurance company like State Farm and put off a law firm, what do you think your chances are?

** DO NOT USE CARDINAL MOVING **.

Still Waiting!!

This review is based on our experiences thus far..first we called and got the information for our vehicle, which was supposed to take 3 weeks, approximately, from shore to shore. Ok, we thought, let's ship it early enough so that it is available for pick up right after we land back on the mainland. Nothing was mentioned during the transaction period that we would be charged a daily fee to store our vehicle once it got there. Alas..the sucking away of our hard earned dollars had begun. Our truck arrived in lightspeed time..we started getting calls and emails daily telling us to pick up our truck. LOL, we still had 2 weeks until we flew off the island. We had to pay them to hold our truck for us, even though THEY misquoted the time it would take for it to ship. Included in the process were all of the hassles of miscommunication between the sales people, us, and the actual shipping people. Harrowing moments spent making desperate phone calls to the main office for info. There was an area at the shipping depot where all of the desperate customers went, a sort of 'freak out and call your salesperson lounge', where all of the customers were gathered making loud and shrill voiced calls to their respective 'contacts' regarding their vehicles. Wow! I went to the rental car and let my fiancee do the dance of desperation with all the other people. SO! THEN..being the kind of folks who like simple, friendly, and helpful sales people..well, of course we booked our household move with Cardinal..yay! We liked Frank. The projected time frame from HI house to OR house was 3-4 weeks..we assumed it would be a bit longer, figured in the cost of rental furniture on both ends, paper supplies for our dining needs, and calculated the best date to schedule pickup in HI so as to alleviate a long lag on the other end (the family is travelling all over the place and we didn't want to leave grandma at home to tend to the movers..she's 82 for crying out loud!) And, here I sit..its been a day or two shy of 4 weeks..haven't heard a word. My fiancee called them this morning and was told 'well, we are running at least 21 days out..so, it could be 3-6 weeks..we'll call you.' NO FREAKING WAY! Now my 82 year old mother in law, and her caretaker (luckily she is just turning 50 and is disabled,,,much better to deal with the movers), get to deal with the movers, cuz the rest of us young and spry folk in our clan will be travelling. SO: caveat; IF you plan to spend more money on your vehicle shipping than planned, plus the joy of getting dunning calls from the reception site, and include that into your budget..plus..click click of the calculator keys..add 45 days to the quoted time for your furniture move, by all means, use this company! Overall, it was the hardest thing EVER, to move from Oahu to the mainland..crying teens, sad grandma who doesn't want to be chilly, even us adults who will miss plate lunches, slippers, and even 'Hawaiian time', mahalo very much..but to have the wonder of these added benefits? Well, I would rather have known what I was dealing with..oh, wait, I thought it did! LOL. Stay tuned..after I go call Rent-A-Center and design some furniture out of household garbage I will start a little journal of the days I spend waiting. Eventually I will try to provide the total time for our move,if and when it ever happens (I hold faith that we will actually get our stuff), and post it for all on this site to see. Oh, wait, an afterthought: I don't think we even got a list from the movers in HI (who were AWESOME, they were the greatest..seriously, they did the job for Cardinal,,darn, who were they? I will check) for our total count (boxes/furniture.) I would double check with the big guy, but he took mom out for a jog and power lifting class in prep for her big day with the movers.

Long-distance move from California to Nevada

Lies and non communication from Cardinal and R L Wilson (transporter:).

This  company doesn't know what it's doing.  had to call them when I picked up my truck in Maui because it was assigned to be picked up by a Laura and NOT BY ME.   When I shipped my truck back to Henderson, NV  there were delays after delays and Cardinal and Ronnie the dispatcher lied saying my truck was going to be picked up on New Year's Eve (12/31/12) and delivered by 3pm to NV on the same day.  Call after call was never returned to me and I made8 calls to Cardinal one day and 5 the previous day.   These guys are a joke.  they alreay have my monies and really don't seem to care one bit about me and their ad saying that the move would be stress free is even a bigger joke.
aS OF TODAY 12/31/12 1pm a new person on the end of the phone says:  the truck will be picked up on wednesday and delivered to me on thursday.

This company should be reported to the Dept of Transportation
if for no other reason than they are ALL INCOMPETENT!!

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.  THEY ARE THE WORST.

Long-distance move from California to Hawaii

Awful! Do not use.

These people will promise you the world. But they don't seem to stop and listen to what they are selling you and then back it up. A quote will stick when they are selling it. But when it comes down to completing the order they either do not proceed and or change the price. These people CANNOT BE TRUSTED. The story changes from day to day including who the owner is and who they claim they are firing to make you happy. They are such liars! I wish there was more that could be done to keep people who do business like they do, out of the business. I spent a ton of money coming out to arrange things for the move as they told me to. Then just before leaving I confirmed everything was done and ready to go. But no one was ever around to wrap things up every time I called over and over, with no messages passed along and no follow up replies. Then another person said they could help, but stated that they cannot provide the service I was sold. If I have to go back it will cost me thousands again to fix what they told me to do. They have now shipped my truck after telling me it was abandoned in Long Beach of all places. Now I will have to pay additional car rental fees on top of new hotel fees to fix this mess. Do not use these people. They claim to be a "stress free" moving company. That's a load of . . .

Never Came or called back..

We had Cardinal Moving Systems (CMS) ready to come pick up our household goods on October 22 (2011). When I spoke with them on Tuesday, October 18th, we confirmed the pick up date and I told them that I would reconfirm a day or two before. I called that Thursday and also Friday to reconfirm the Saturday pick up day, but only received voicemail. I left two messages one each day. When Saturday Oct. 22 arrived, we waited for CMS to come get our things. No one showed up. Finally, a dispatcher called and said they had us down for next week to pick up our things. I reassured him that today was the pick up day. Then he said he had the pick up scheduled for Monday the 24th. I told him that for the past two months that I had been speaking with Noel from CMS that we were flying out on the 24th and everything needed to be out and cleaned by that day (at the very latest). He told me everything would be arranged and everything would go smoothly. I gave him a deposit, and now when October 24th arrived they were canceling the pick up. They told me they would try and get someone out maybe later in the day and that they would call me back and let me know..I waited until 8pm that night, and no one came or ever called me back as promised. The next day was Sunday, and we were to leave the island on Monday morning. We are amazed at the dishonesty, lack of promises and communication and disrespect that this company gave us. They tried so hard to get our business to fall through and leave us with no where to turn and no common decency toward us. It's tough to be stranded with two days to go and no where to turn, then the movers pull a stunt like this.

Long-distance move from Hawaii to Montana

Do NOT Use Cardinal.

I am posting this here after my first review for my recent service was deleted from Yelp. Here's my experience:

I used them in my move from LA to Maui and they did a great job. However, 2 years later, I used them again in a job related move to Montana. I contacted my previous rep, and everything went smooth..until the 3 day window for moving.

The day before flying to Montana, the movers (AFTER trying to cancel) were 4 hours late, arriving at 8:20p (4 hours past the latest time they were supposed to arrive) and we couldn't load up because my storage place had closed. Because of this, I missed most of my going away party with all of my friends. So the only choice was to return next day, which ran so late, I basically was sprinting to make my plane flight. I tried to contact my rep, and told him I was upset and could anything be done to help make this right..and he completely ignored me. I tried several more times in the coming weeks, but still ignored.

I shipped my stuff July 13th, and was told it would go to Seattle, in roughly a month, and head to Montana. Instead..they shipped it to Los Angeles, and as a result, it is now 10/15, and I am getting  my stuff 90 DAYS after I shipped!! During this time, the communication has been non-existent. Every time I call, noone can take my call..everytime I email- I have been completely ignored.

So as a result, I'm posting this review to advise you to RUN!! Do NOT use this company for ANYTHING. Read about them on Yelp- there are more stories than mine. .

Long-distance move from California to Hawaii

Incompetent and Dishonest.

I engaged Cardinal Moving Systems to move a large household from Northern California to Maui.  the team that picked up my goods arrived on time, but with too small a truck to handle the job.  They were unable to finish on time, and failed to load some items the next day. The experience on Maui was horrible.  Cardinal failed to appear on the first two dates THEY picked to deliver the goods.  When they did arrive, their team was very young and inexperienced, and ill equipped.  They could not finish the job in one day.  They crashed their truck into my house on the second day.  They lost 5 boxes.  They damaged several items of furniture.  It would have been much worse if I had not stepped in and provided they with some equipment to help them. What was even worse was the dispute resolution procedure.  Cardinal never admited responsability for crashing into my house.  The entire process of negotiating an amount for the damages was a joke, the worst of which was that in order to receive any payment, I had to agree to remove any negative reveiws I had written on the internet. These people cannot be trusted.

Long-distance move from Hawaii to Nevada

Move from Kapolei Hawaii to Henderson Nevada.

My Cardinal Nightmare ~
In Moving from Michigan to Hawaii in 2014, I searched for a reputable moving company. Cardinal had been in business ever since I can remember.. 2 mover’s came to take what I was moving from Michigan to Hawaii. I left a lot of things behind which were either taken by family or relocated to the church for their upcoming garage sale. Only furniture I took were my 2 recliner’s and an old coffee table which had belong to my cousin Fran all those years ago. Hadn’t planned on taking it, but they packed it anyhow. After arrival in Hawaii, my things were delivered promptly to my new home. After two years living in what was the old Barber’s Pointe Navy Housing, where they would raise the rent each year $100, this in addition to the ever increasing electrical bill’s ($500 plus a month) left me “Priced out of Paradise”. Deciding to move before I wound up living on the beach as so many Island resident’s and their families had. I tried to start something in the community. I was totally unaware that another resident had the same ideal and got a State Rep involved. This is what I left behind on Oahu. http://www.staradvertiser.com/2016/09/03/hawaii-news/700-electrical-bills-shock-kalaeloa-renters/
I could go further, but my situation here now that I’ve moved to Henderson Nevada seems even worse. In shopping around for my moving company, I decided to use the one I had worked with before, everything had gone so well with my Move from Michigan. I did have 1 broken lamp which had seen it’s years. Moved it to Michigan when I first left the Islands in 1984.
The mover’s sent 5 guys to pack and load everything. I had packed quite a bit before they got there, but they packed the rest no problem. I remember the crew, professional with the exception of the man in charge. He kept working me for more money saying how they under estimated my move. Finally gave him $100 to shut him up. I had planed on tipping the worker’s anyhow. Having to give the guy calling the shot’s a little more to start just to get him to shut up. After all was said and done, I was moving 387 boxes which were packed in loaded in the truck. I gave each of the addition 4 worker’s $40 each for all their hard work. So item’s locked and loaded for delivery to Henderson, Nevada.
I arrived to find my new place, staying at the Sunset Casino in the meantime. Shipped the car 08/15 just before my flight out. Car was delivered by the 30th, Just over 2 weeks! On 08/24 @ 5:59 I received first word on my Household goods by Dispatch Freddy. By 08/29 I signed the lease on my new apartment and sent Freddy an e-mail with my new address, stating I would be sleeping on the floor until my things arrived. In speaking with Freddy he would say my items where awaiting release from Custom’s before they could set up a delivery date. After a week of sleeping on the floor I would phone Freddy telling him my sister was to arrived on the 20th. She was coming into town for a conference with a Friend, but I had the room for them to stay with me, just didn’t have any of my household good. I phoned Freddie numerous time’s getting no where. I then check out Cardinal on the Internet. Shocked about what I was reading about this company I TRUSTED. After posting comments on the Internet, and chatting with a couple on Facebook who were having problems in Hawaii dealing with Cardinal. I finally got a date out of Freddie on Friday, 09/16 that my things would be delivered on Monday the 19th, or Tuesday the 20th at the latest. Said that he would keep working to get me an earlier date that might help with the upcoming visit from my Sister and her Friend. Not even an hour later he’s phoning to say my things would arrive on Sunday the 15th! Said he had to work hard for that date to which I thanked him. On Saturday the 17th I received a phone call from Sarah stating they couldn’t find one of my mattress. Needed a description etc so they could find it. What?!? How could my things of gotten separated from the original shipment? No call back saying they found my mattress, I’m laying on the floor in my bedroom believing that Monday would be the next date I would see my things. I had bought another air mattress even though I had shipped two, as sleeping on the floor really wasn’t all that comfortable. At 9 am. my cell rings, it’s the driver from the moving company saying they’d be at my home with in the next 1/2 hour. Didn’t even take them 20 minutes.. They arrive and Oscar the driver enters my home laying out the 5 sheet’s of paper with my items listed. Tells me they’ll bring in the packages and shout out the number’s which I should check off as they bring them in. The other mover “C” was quite, only did what Oscar told him to do. He entered my apartment with a torn bag from the vacuum bag’s I had stored my things into before they were boxed. Where’s the rest of it I asked? Should be on the truck somewhere he replied. But the bag was in a box I told him. He brought more item’s of clothing that were in that box and laid them out in the spare bedroom. I’m checking off boxes from the number’s their shouting out, and Oscar look’s over to see how I was doing. Things come in damaged beyond repair. My dining table was crushed by something of heavy weight placed on top of it. My antique marble coffee table broken before the moved, but glued together and duct taped to secure the corner, came in as just bit’s and pieces when it arrived. Taking out the middle marble top would of been a good thing to do before the move, but these things do happen.. They get my bedrooms set up, then my L shaped sofa. Boxes everywhere, and all check off on the list. Say they have another delivery run up by Reno to complete before they can head back to L.A.. There tired, I’m tired. Boxes are checked off.. I tipped them each $40, thanked them for their hard work and they were on their way. Now I have a bed to sleep on, wish I would of held onto Oscar’s phone number, but deleted it when I thought everything was delivered. Looking at the nightmare of boxes in front of me, I worry about what’s where, telling myself all the boxes where delivered. Monday I get a phone call from Sarah again about my bed. Told her they had found it, and was delivered with the rest of my things on Sunday. She state’s they should of told her about finding the bed, and should of called me the day before, not 1/2 hour before they were ready for delivery.
387 Boxes moved and accounted for leaving Kapolei to the shipping yard. All item’s checked in at the warehouse, then by a driver. Before dispatch to Henderson all item’s check besides the 1 bed in warehouse. Final delivery mover’s checked all things off other than the bed when leaving for Henderson. The bed was checked off after delivery to Henderson, along with all the other boxes Oscar’s assured me were there.
MISSING ITEMS;
#1 ~ My Parent’s Wedding picture from 1951. Had their license attached.
#2 ~ A Large Wall Frame to hold photo’s from years past.
#3 ~ Large hanging Wall Fan, green with shell bottom
#4 ~ Boxes of jewelry with 18’ solid gold necklaces with their pennants, dozen’s of gold earring's, a few rings. Then all my pearls.. Priceless items that could never be replaced
#6 ~ A large box of silverware, what! Why??
#7 ~ Large glass Coffee Table
#8 ~ 2 pounds of Kona Coffee
#9 ~ Queen air mattress, DBL. “D” battery operated

Things arrive from Hawaii to Los Angeles warehouse. Told things are in custom’s, and had been for 3 weeks. That was a LIE!
Finally get a date for my things to arrive from L.A. Warehouse. Sarah phones to say bed is missing. Mattress being a memory foam mattress, no metal to be found, yet in the search to find it, a metal detector is authorized. Queen sized mattress, would be a large package. Would think anyone working the warehouse would be BONDED. Let’s see what the Detector can pick up in these other boxes. Guess they don’t really care what happens in their warehouse.
Oscar was in charge of my item’s, checked them all out of the warehouse. Sure once he left my home, he was laughing all the way. Even accepted the $40 tip I gave to each of them. The only thing I can do at this point is hope that Karma find’s him and that my credit card company denies payment for what was little more that allowing people to pack my things and ship them off to the mainland to be STOLEN! When/if the credit card advises who I should file the police report with, that will be done.
Extremely Disappointed,

Wilma K. Martin.
