Everything was great until my delivery here's why:
1 I had broken pkates and holes in my boxes even though I wrote "this side up or fragile" so clearly its not handled properly.
2 my bedframe was missing and it took over a week to get back. I had to call at least twice a day after notifying them that it was missing. Noone would return my call and my "booking agent" was always in a meeting or out of the office ect ect ect its been a week its supposed to be delivered today but surprise its still not here.
3 they quoted 500 and charged me 1500 with a hidden warehouse fee which I was told there wasn't a charge. That I am still waiting for its been a week and I was told I would get it the day after I told them and 2 days ago.. Still haven't gotten it.
Be prepared for no answers and to be overcharged.
If I could I would given them zero stars. These people do not care about you and your possessions . They only care about the amount of money they can charge you when they know that you have no recourse from overcharging about the weight, stair charges, overnight charges if your transport is earlier than expected.Even though they pcked our things, many were broken, damaged or soiled{which thet do not accept any responsibility}.Amy,Holly and Alisa are all incompetent and uncaring. The movers could not bring the boxes to the second floor, despite the extra stair charge because they were so winded. The boxes did not indicate contents what was top or bottom= they were almost tossed into room.
Do not use this company if you care for your possessions and you want a stress free move. You might have to pay more but believe me, it is very very worthwhile.
Instead of re-writing everything, I've attached, below, a copy of the complaint email I sent to this company following my move. I think it is self explanatory..
Basically, no matter what they tell you in advance, when the moving day gets close and it's too late to change movers, they screw you over 50 ways.. see below:
Hello,
I'm writing to inform you of my severe dissatisfaction with your company and several aspects of how my move was handled. I will provide a few details of the reasons I am unhappy. My moving specialist was Amy. She did remain polite, throughout several emails, even when it was clear I was angry, but she did not assist me with any of the things I was concerned about, despite some agreements to do so, further aggravating the issues.
-I booked move by email approx. May 2/17 and confirmed by phone within a week or 2 of that date.
- originally requested a quote for a 2 bedroom home. I was actually leaving a 4 bedroom home but the entire lower level of the bungalow was unfurnished so I thought that would be a good approximation. (Ex. No second living room, no couch in the main living room, no 3rd & 4th bedroom furniture whatsosever -i had previously emptied these). The quote I got was for an estimated 2000-4000 pounds and the dollar amount given was based on the 2000pounds.
- in early june I emailed Amy about wanting to confirm the weight of my shipment after it was loaded and ways to do this. There is a weight scale on the highway just 15 minutes outside my town of origin. Weighing it there was refused and only 2 locations, both hours from my origin and destination were offered.. I had so many other things to attend to and a disabled family member to care for that could not be alone while I did this tavelling, which seemed completely unnecessary, so we instead agreed that photos would be taken of the shipment on the scales. amy assured my it would be clear it was my shipment and that id be able to see the scale weight. I agreed to this compromise, grudgingly. Most frustrating though, was that when I asked WHY, about anything through this process, Amy wouldn't explain. Instead she would repeat the options. Understanding the reasons for things may have made me accept changes without feeling angry but I was offered explanations.
- closer to the date of the move, about 2 weeks before, Amy requested a list of items to be moved. I sent one. There were a few things I forgot but not a lot. I think a tv stand and an old steamer trunk. I gave estimated numbers for the boxes because they had not been packed yet.
-very quickly, Amy sent an estimate quote for 4860 pounds, after getting my list. I was surprised that the weight was estimated so high, given the range the original quote gave for a 2 bedroom house. I do not have a great deal of excess "stuff", but I figured it was fine because if it weighed less I'd pay less. We negotiated that there be no extra charge for my daughters mobility scooter since it would be taken apart into light pieces that could be packed.
- June 26th, 2 days before my move, I got another email from Amy saying that "dispatch" had re-estimated my items as probably weighing 7500 pounds and I would have to be charged a minimum since this meant sending a truck with enough power and size for a larger load. she offered that, to "compromise" with me, my minimum would only be 5000pounds, not a higher number. Of course I was outraged since I had been told previously, by HER, that my items probably weighed LESS THAN 5000 pounds! And I already though her number of 4860 was high based on your initial email estimate for a house my size.
-several emails followed and Amy offered to cancel the booking if I was unhappy. I mean, really? You have no option at that point, which I feel is how I was most taken advantage of. My house sale was closing in 2 days, on June 30th, and I had not choice but to get out and no time to research and book a new mover, obviously. That is a manipulative thing to do to people.
-Further to the "minimum charge", Amy also said there would be no point photographing the scaling if it weighed less than 5000, since Id have to pay that amount regardless. She finally agreed that photos would still be done regardless as previously agreed.
-The day of the move: the movers took over 6 hours to load my things. They wrapped multiple items in bubble wrap, without asking me first, then proceeded to charge me for that!! These were normal peices of wooden furniture such as a kitchen table and side tables, etc. They could easily have been blanket wrapped for free. I had even mentioned that I was glad that blanket wrapping was free becuase my daughters things had made it, last year, across the country, with very little damage, using that method without paying tons of extra fees. I was always available on the back deck, yet they did not ask first. The amount of time was also ridiculous. Nothing had been left unpacked except 2 mirrors that I did want bubble wrapped and discussed that with them. Only items that needed blanket wrap were left. All artwork and tvs were already wrapped. Of course, once again, at 9:30pm, I wasn't going to have them UN-bubble wrap the items to reduce my charges and also I could not have done this becuse they ran OUT OF blakets and would have had no toher options! I believe that may be why they wrapped with bubble so much to begin with-they were short on blankets. That should not have resulted in a charge for me though.
-a few days later, After I emailed to ask about an eta and the weight my things were scaled at, Amy told me that
1. The items had NOT been photographed when scaled. She explained that the reason for this was the late hourand need to hurry the load onto another truck. I have no idea how that affects the ability of somebody to snap a photo?? I asked, again, several times, and she did not explain further. She only told me the weight was 5040pounds.
2. The items could not be tracked by customers and she could only tell me the shipment had left. I mentioned that the website clearly indicated I could contact her for tracking help because the trucks are equipped with gps. She ignored that remark. (Tracking had been one of my reasons for CHOOSING CMS!) The website is definitely misleading if this is what was meant by that!
-several days later, the only option, after several emails again, while I was driving across the country with my pets and disabled family member, given to me to confirm the weight of 5040 pounds, was to make myself available, when contacted, to meet the load in another city in BC, to witness the scaling. I argued that photographs have been agreed upon and I still wanted that option but she said management would not consent to this being done at the richmon, BC location. Completely unacceptable. I mean why?? What is so hard about taking a picture? Its got to be easier than having me there? And why can't highway scales be used instead of only ones at your own locations? Wouldnt that sound suspicious to you, as a consumer, especially after the huge expose recently done on marketplace tv show? Why not do everything possible to show you are NOT one of those companies?
-before the shipment arrived, I had to contact Amy again for information about where to send my e-transfer payment since I didn't want to be charged a credit card fee. (That is also dumb-charging a credit card fee for such large payments!). I made the payment as soon as I had the information and had to contact her again to find out if it went through. I didn't even get an email receipt of any kind.
- finally my shipment arrived. After it sat in BC for 3 days, it was delivered. Several items are damaged mildly, 2 items had to be thrown away - the leg was broken off my bedroom dresser and the side smashed-very expensive to replace. Another was a cheaper cabinet for shoe storage. The door broken completely off. Ironically, BOTH OF THESE HAD BEEN BUBBLE WRAPPED!
-finally, even though Amy had assured me I would receive at LEAST the scale ticket showing the weight, I got NOTHING. The delivery men gave me not a single piece of paper. I don't even have their names.
So.. needless to say, I am very unhappy. I was not treated fairly. Your minimum charge rule should be made much more clear upfront. The printing is tiny and only says "may" happen. When does that apply? How about some transparency as to how these decisions are made? Otherwise it simply looks like fraud. People respect when you put everything on the table instead. Weigh options need to be much more flexible to prove there is no fraud. This will also aloow you to look good to customers and prove you aren't part of the "bad guys" out there. Why would you NOT do that? Your company has alot of bad reviews. They would improve vastly if these things didn't happen. This would allow you to expand and even charge more, over time. Its all about integrity.
So.. I would like to hear whether there are any ideas, on your part, for things you might offer to do, to remedy the situation with me. I do not want to take this matter to small claims court. I have better things to do. On the other hand my conscience says I can't do nothing and let this continue. I have not published any reviews yet either because I wanted to give you the opportunity to make things right first.
Please get back to me as soon as possible with any suggestions you might have. I would like, at the very least, to have my final paperwork mailed to my new address, including the scaling ticket. Beyond that, I await your suggestion.
When I contacted the company, the amount they quoted was nothing close to what I paid when the move was done (quote was $755, ended up paying $1550) and I did all the packing myself. The movers showed up an hour 30mins later than scheduled and did the same for drop off. When I called to complain anout theor tardiness, the manager asked me if I wanted her to physically come pick up the truck and bring it to my location. I will NEVER use this company again.
So many things wrong with this company, wish I could give them zero stars.
First off, arrived 30 hours after they initially told me they would. Called tell me the day before, but I was travelling so I missed it. They left no voicemail, didn't email me, or try calling again. They have no after hour service so I had no way of calling them back until the next day, 3 hours after they were supposed to arrive.
Gave me attitude when I complained about their poor communication skills, no apology.
The charge was nowhere close to what they quoted me. They told me they pack up paintings to ensure they survive the trip undamaged. Neglecting to mention the $100+ fee that would add. And my painting frame was chipped in multiple spots by the time I got it anyway! What a waste that was.
They broke the leg off my TV and casually threw it in a box without mentioning anything. When I put in a claim because I was upset it was broken, they told me it would take 4-6 weeks. It is now 7 weeks later and when I asked for an update they said 3-4 more weeks. They have no intention of following through with my claim and are clearly just trying to wait me out.
Charged me a "warehousing fee" of $110 for holding onto my stuff, when I was already waiting for it past the expected delivery date. Terrible communication with the delivery driver as he wouldn't take the charge off, and they wouldn't refund me and did the same as my claim and pretended that it never happened and keep giving me the run-around.
Ended up costing me $400 more than the initial quote with all their extra fees and nonsense.
Absolute joke of a company. I can't believe they're still in business.
PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! It is not worth it!
Terrible service, no accountability, avoid if you value your things.
If you value your possessions, time, or sanity, don't use this company.
To be clear: Canadian Moving Systems isn't really a moving company, in the conventional sense. They fill up excess space on trucks and employ random untrained, unlicensed, unaffiliated individuals to do the pickup and dropoff. When you employ Canadian Moving Systems, you're paying someone to subcontract a Craigslist man with a van.
As a result, their movers are not professional, their communication terrible, their service dubious, and accountability nonexistent. In my case, I employed them to move a single apartment's worth of possessions from Montreal to Victoria, BC. The movers in Montreal did show up on time, but without any of the promised packing materials. There were only a handful of fragile items in my load, which were clearly marked and I highlighted to the movers. Nonetheless, they got crushed in the truck, and weren't at all protected by the moving blankets.
Once the truck left my house, it went to a Canadian Moving Systems "depot" -- no idea if that actually exists -- and was loaded onto a truck, shipped to BC, and then loaded back onto a vehicle for delivery. Somewhere in that process, a desk was physically destroyed with the legs ripped off, presumably to make it easier to store. At least they took the time to plasti-wrap the destroyed leg onto the desk top. Along the way, a full box containing electronics was also completely lost. Given how much my things were moved around during the move, the company had no idea where the box was lost.
After I took delivery, I filed a complaint about the missing item, which resulted in a six-month-long email chain chasing the company, first trying to get them to look for the item, and then about an insurance claim. With no result out of that, I'm going to have to try small claims court next.
In short, if you choose to move with Canadian Moving Systems, you're not paying a professional moving service; instead, your possessions are going to be shuffled around a couple of random trucks, with zero guarantee that things will be treated properly, or even that all your boxes will be there at the end. Although the price is attractive, I cannot recommend strongly enough going with any other moving company. Don't make my mistake.
1) This is not a moving company. They are a broker.
- The CMS website shows pictures of trucks with the CMS logo, and workers wearing CMS hats, and there are videos of movers carefully packaging and unpacking expensive items. The rest of the website poses as a true moving company, with multiple claims of how CMS performs specifically. This is all misleading.
- In reality, as their website subtly says, CMS is actually a "logistic leader”
2) They appear to outsource the move to other labourers and drivers, who are cheaper than what an individual would typically chose (because they fit your move in with whatever truck has some available space last minute, and, because they aren't held accountable by the customer, these movers' standards are lower)
- This is why CMS has so little control or knowledge about the moving truck itself - despite booking months in advance, they can not give any indication of pick-up or drop-off dates until one day prior (when the hired truck informs them)
- Despite the GPS-tracking claim on their website, the CMS office has no idea where the trucks are (this was made painfully clear to me when I called CMS during my move, and my "relocation specialist Megan Taylor" made up a non-sensical story of the truck being on someone's private property for a week, so they couldn't give me the address, and then told me the truck route would “confuse” me)
- This is also why the movers on either end have no idea anything about your overall shipment, or about CMS. And why the movers really don't care about your stuff
3) CMS is not a "large company".
- Their website alludes to a large company, yet the head office (and only publicly available address nationwide) is in a Calgary strip mall with no signage
- Phone numbers to the “offices” across the country all go to the same secretive "call centre” in Toronto, with the phone answered by the same handful of people who send the e-mails
- A large company typically has an automated call system (they don't), and a more secure money transfer option than eTransfer (which is how deposits are given)
4) Don't mix them up with another company
- Their website is eerily similar to https://www.canadamoving.com (appears to be an actual established mover)
- Their name is also similar to Canadian Moving Services (Edmonton company)
5) There are actually hidden fees
- there is a $78 "warehousing fee", which is the fee for loading and unloading your belongings on to different trucks (too many times for my liking)
- they have you fill out an inventory of stuff to estimate the shipment weight, and then use this to say that this is your minimum weight and minimum cost even if you ship less, or the same number of objects simply weighs less
- in retrospect it would have made sense to give them a smaller list, so the minimum cost would be lower (sure enough, my weight was less than they expected, but I paid the "minimum" cost which was more weight than I shipped)
6) The claims process is a joke.
- Two entire boxes of dishes were completely shattered, and several pieces of furniture were damaged, but all they could tell me was that someone from the "claims department" would contact me in 6-8 weeks and to make sure I don't discard or fix anything before then in case it needs to be inspected.
7) There are limited reasons to using CMS.
If anything, it may be appropriate if all four of these apply:
- cost is a major issue
- your shipment is not breakable (at all - somehow they managed to break plastic mixing bowls)
- your shipment is not valuable or sentimental
- you are very flexible with pick-up and drop-off dates and times
In conclusion, I do not recommend this company. They are misleading in multiple ways. It is not possible to provide uniform quality service when the move is done by outside companies the customer is unaware of.
Don't EVER use Canadian Moving Systems. I moved from Ontario to New Brunswick with enough to furnish a 10 X 10 room with an additional dozen or so boxes and the backseat of my jeep (I packed the jeep solid to save weight). The price crept up, items were damaged and they even lost a $300-400 stand up camping tent on me. Could have been more damage, but luckily between the box that was squished and the one they brought in upside down.. there was nothing fragile inside them.
The least of my worries was I was given a time window on the delivery date, which ended up taking all day. As soon as the driver pulls up, we start debating about the stairs. I informed him I was already charged for the stairs and he was insistent that that was for pick up and not delivery. It was not until he saw the money draft for the balance I was given being more than the total on his sheet that he let off on that. Two things there. One being lack of communication between the drivers and the company and/or paperwork not being updated. The other being how solid our stances were on the subject, I'm not sure if he was going to unload if it wasn't resolved because he couldn't get a hold of dispatch. And I was NOT handing over anymore money.
As the driver was leaving after delivery, I started to point out a corner of my tv stand was peeled off by the packing tape used (found more damage later). He just waved his hands and said I have 10 days to call in any damages and scurried out the door. Calling and emailing the company afterwards, she tried saying I only had to wait a couple of hours (ummm.. 11am till after 7pm) and that the driver did the right thing about the damages. I was sent a form to fill out and was told it could take 6 to 8 months to hear anything?!
I'm still waiting for a damage/lost claim reimbursement, which with everything so far have very high doubts seeing anything back. All in all with the moving bill, replacing my tent and still debating on replacing damaged items.. that was a more than $3000 lesson learned. I'm so grateful I downsized and planned on starting new, couldn't imagine them moving a full house!
The ONLY reason I went through this in the first place was that renting a u-haul was going to cost me more than the initial estimate, but that gap disappeared with the final price.
Aside from CMS, Murat and Elena Balduk also run the following "companies". They are all simply misleading websites with a phone number, and no office. They then send your stuff with another unknown truck.
1- Atlantic Van Lines
2- Kingsway Van lines
3- Troy Moving Transportation
4- Armour Van Lines
5- Canadian Moving Systems Inc
6- Trillium Moving Storage and Services
Elena Balduk goes by "Megan Taylor" with CMS.
They were profiled on CBC Marketplace in 2017: http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/episodes/2015-2016/moving.
Complete scam! Was ripped off over $3000 dollars and offered me $30. Delivered broken items by people working under the table and running around like children in a playground while they handed me my broken items.
Their customer service was absolutely dismal. They were literally laughing at us when we called in our claim. They lost my daughters bike among other things and damaged everything the we paid them to pack safe. I just received the offer for my settlement. $50. That doesn't even cover the cost of the bike you lost, never mind the $300 lazyboy chair.. worst company I've ever dealt with.
I must have posted a dozen reviews/complaints two years ago. I even wrote to the Minister of Transport Canada, the H Marc Garneau. I also wrote to the Prime Minister, the H Justin Trudeau, and had an "in person" conversation with the Member of Parliament for my area, Bob Menzen . I had a meeting as well with an officer at the Investigations Unit in Calgary. Nothing was done by anyone. It seems to me that as long as those people do things "supposedly" legally they are entitled to take advantage of everyone who had the bad luck of contracting them.. as it was my case. Never accepted the $55.00 they offered me
I had hoped that many people would've read my many reviews and had saved themselves from being taken by these crooks. - There was an investigation done by the CBC Marketplace that can still be seen under season 44 as Moving Company Nightmares. Watching the video there is a moment when it is possible to see the different names (companies) that operate, owned by the same people.
My husband and I moved from BC to Ontario this year. Let me just get to the point, I’m disgusted that this is even a business, I’m disgusted at the fact that these people are individuals in this world that walk around with no morals, DIGNITY, respect, even for themselves. I’m disgusted at the fact that these people are thieves, they rob you of so many things, first off 98% of your things completely destroyed, doesn’t matter if it’s in bubble wrap in the most toughest boxes, they will go through them and wreck your things one way or another. BETTER yet they will undue all the shrink wrap that you may of put on your beds, tables, couches.. etc (imagine the shape they would be in). Most of all they rob you of your happiness. They don’t care that we work hard to pay for everything that they carry in their trucks, I’m disgusted. They will also give you a link or website that show PERFECT REVIEWS - FAKE! This company is the epitome of HELL. 40k of brand new items absolutely destroyed and unusable. How do you live with yourselves?? Look at all these people that you have wrecked for a long time. Satisfied, does that make you feel good INSIDE??
I have never written a bad review ever. But this time I will, for this company needs to be exposed. I really wish the company closes down. I wish I had read this website before choosing them. and now I am one of those whose stuff worth of CAD 1000 is either damaged or lost (rather stolen) in the name of the fact that the first CAD 450 worth of loss will be at owner's risk. One can imagine if something big happens, it makes sense. but how does it make sense when a whole luggage bag and fan is gone and what you are offered is 0.60 per LB. There is no sense of even making an effort to find it in the warehouse because they can not. And ridiculous it is that the movers did not mark these two items either so it does not show on the list. They were simply rushing through moving every single item.
My tip would be to be highly alert with them as they are not one company, it is true they are brokers. It is not a moving company itself. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT CHOOSE THEM. Choose a better company, a little more expensive will literally save you as opposed to losing money and goods with Canadian Moving Systems. Crap!
Moving from BC to Ontario, and the movers charged me almost $400 for packing material (cardboard and tape!), then finally showed up in Ontario approximately 5 weeks later. They called me the night before, telling me they were coming the following morning, and oh by the way, the cost had almost tripled. They demanded that I have either cash or a back draft ready by 8am (this was 4:30PM and I was heading in for a night shift).
I called customer service, and when someone finally answered, they said I had to pay their fees or I would have to pay added storage fees and transport fees to get my stuff, essentially holding it hostage. When I looked at the "weigh slip" of how much my belongings weighed, they couldn't prove to me that it was actually my stuff that had been weighed.
Looking at the final bill provided by the movers, I saw a bunch of arbitrary added costs. I again called customer service with the movers present, and couldn't get an answer. Of course, they answered when the movers called and said I wasn't willing to pay that much. I called her out on all of the added costs, and she apologized saying "oh those must have been added in error", like a warehouse storage fee?? My stuff wasn't in a warehouse!
To top it all off, almost everything was scratched, broken or smashed.
Horrendous experience, stay far away from this company. No regulations, so they charge whatever they feel like. Terrible, disrespectful experience.
As you read from everyone, they will ramp up the price on bullshit issues. They will refuse to show you your stuff on delivery until full payment. But did you know the law says it's against the law!! If you hire them then figure out after the deposit it was a mistake (like we did) , call the cops when they get to your house. They will be obliged by law to give up your stuff. If everything is broken or stolen, give them nothing and let them sue you.
Horrible Company to deal with. They took my deposit even though they were unable to meet my arrival date and they refuse to reimburse me. After more than 60 emails, I feel that I need to write this review because I'm not getting anywhere. Dealing with Megan and then Alisa was very frustrating as they refuse to see the wrong they did. I was also told that I couldn't go higher than Alisa so I was unable to get anywhere. I am filing a police report for fraudulent behavior and also to complain that this Company is not A+ rated by BBB as per their website. I hope people read this before thinking of using their services. I managed to get another moving Company who were a pleasure to deal with and who gave me all my pick-up / arrival dates before taking my deposit.
Their delivery arrived late and to top that off, they lost my largest and most expensive item, a king size mattress. I explained to them that i have a kid and we can no longer wait for them to sort their fault out so i had to buy a new mattress and that they just pay. They ate not a member of Canadian Association of Movers. I reached out to BBB to complain, and as soon as BBB contacted them, they magically find my mattress and insist on delivering it asap. Now I ended up with two mattresses. Never go for this company. Look at google reviews for this company and see how bad they are in this industry.
Don’t be fooled with their “low rates” as there are a lot of hidden charges that they wont explain upfront. Don’t be fooled with delivery time because they will give you a rough estimate “upon loading your items”, and the loading time will never be disclosed. You won’t have a contract here and your items wont be insured. They know that you have no legal recourse because they wont provide you anything except for the estimate receipt you will receive when they pick up your item. This company also uses subcontractors and basically they are just the “middle-man” who will reach out to different unknown local movers.
If you value your items, please please please, do not look at cost and look for a REAL company that do not use subcontract movers. This is a hard lesson that I learned and I hope you learn from this too. The least I can do now is this, to do an honest review on why you shouldn’t hire these guys.
Moving to Calgary, Alberta. I am still missing over four boxes with shoes, clothes, kitchen stuff and a safe with important documents in it. These guys only delivered a partial shipment. Please DO NOT use this moving company. They do not value people's belongings. It also takes a month for you to get part of your belongings and they keep or steal your stuff.
These guys are very terrible. They destroyed my bed frame stand like they yanked out the rubber ends that prevent the frame from moving around and scratching the floor. They don’t fall out, you have to physically put in power to unclip and yank them out. For no apparent reason they did it. And I told them and it’s 8-10 freaking weeks to process claim. Never ever use them. They are terrible. Very terrible. My mattress has been on the floor cause the frame is useless now. My moving boxes came in damaged, no regard for people’s properties. I also think they are the same moving company with Atlantic Van lines or services cause when my things came I saw a paper with the Atlantic Van lines on it. Don’t use either of them.
I paid the extra fee to have CMS professionals pack for me. The thinking being that if they packed my property in their boxes and used their pads etc., there would be no damage. Instead, I received my boxes crushed and upside-down. Well, the boxes that I did receive - they lost several items on the way, and damaged most of the rest. But at least they delivered someone else's stuff along with mine.
I am now in the 'claims process' with them, and am told it will be 8 to 10 weeks before they contact me. In the mean time, I have tried on fur occasions to have the extra stuff they delivered to us picked up. If you're an ex York University student missing a black suitcase full of books and personal papers - sorry, but it looks like you'll never get it back although I am trying.
Simply put.. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE. You will end up frustrated and with broken or missing items. The icing on the cake would be the final amount you need to pay them before your stuff is delivered. ATROCIUOS. I made the mistake of choosing them over other companies but if you are reading this, save yourself the trouble. After my experience I went to BBB (Better Business Bureau) and that's when I realized how many others have been cheated by these folks. I could've added to the complaints there but there is no use.
THE WORST COMPANY - will steal and damage your things
I used this company to move me to Quebec and then back to BC. So both ways my furniture finally showed up weeks later than promised. When returning to BC it was so terrible way it was picked up after at Midnight, they showed up to move me, in the dark, I had missed my flight home with my family, then after me being shouted at by the crazy driver, I was hoping some care may have been taken as they carried my belongings back across the country.
Whentheydelivered It was weeks late, filthy and all boxes smashed and bent and crushed no care take over trying not to break anything obviously boxes with holes in and broken lampshades which were very carefully wrapped and a Antique wash stand one side of the towel bar broken off and the piece is missing, not replaceable. Dishes Jugs, broken because boxes had been gouged out. My Dyson vacuum the box has been opened and torn, Holes gouged into the plastic covering my pottery barn couch and inside the fabric is black where the holes were, white furniture smeared with black marks, was it stored in a coal mine?
I have photos
The guys delivering it were even embarrassed, afraid to bring it in it was so dirty, the Mattress when they carried upstairs was so dirty it marked my carpets.
Company made me fill out a stupid form I sent photos, they said to wait 12 weeks which I have waited 5 months and nothing. Bunch of liars and cheats. I recommend tyou do not take your business here.
Last year I hired this company for moving alberta to Toronto. They asked me to pay 500 $ deposit. Which i did. A lady told me it will be deduct from my final total.
