Incompetence! The worst move ever.

1. Had to pay an additional $1650 at pick up

2. Tried to get an additional $1000 upon delivery

3. Made me pay balance before delivery (which was not stated in my contract)

4. Lost a dining room chair and 2 boxes

5. Nicked my nightstand broke glass top to my end table

6. No communication

7. Did not take responsibility for anything

Save yourself the headache, do not hire this moving company for your move. It would be a big big mistake.

I would recommend to avoid this company. I hire my residential move from CA to TX to be done mid june. I made the deposit. Later when I inquire about the time of delivery they would not commit to a window of delivery. Trisha Tetto screamed at me for making inquiries about the move, she hang up on me. She such sentences such as “I’ve done everything for you”, “ I am done with you”. I have to mention I always kept calm and only asked when will my stuff be delivered? I never followed his agressive style, I decided to cancel the service since I didn’t want people like that handling my move. They did not return the deposit.

My husband and I hired Cali Exodus for a move from CA to TX. We even made a spreadsheet itemizing every single item of furniture we were moving, measured every single item and went over the list multiple times on the phone with the Cali Exodus agent. We paid the deposit and thought everything was fine and we were happy. The day of pickup, they had removed 3 of our largest furniture items without our knowledge from the estimate and told us it would be an extra $600. At this point we were stuck having to pay the amount because this was our actual moving day. Cali Exodus never owned up to their mistake or apologized and we had to pay the extra money. I know for a fact that the 3 furniture items had been on the estimate we signed because we went over everything in extreme detail. This is a shady business practice and I would recommend others stay far away.

DO NOT USE! We moved cross country through Cali Exodus in 2022. Everything was fine on the pick-up side where we paid a 70% deposit upon pickup. However, a few days before drop off we get a call DEMANDING 100% payment before we see our stuff. When we replied that would send the 30% payment after confirming out stuff arrived (totally normal procedure) they literally started SCREAMING at us over the phone, threatening to lock our stuff up and force us to go to court over it. Trust me, it's not a good feeling when the people who have your life's possessions are threatening to auction off all your goods unless you pay 100% before they even think of showing up to your house. Seriously, DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They will try and f*** you over.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4500

This company could be great if they just had communication and customer service skills.

Based on my experience, for each phase of moving, I would give them:

5 stars for the beginning of the contract stage communication;

5 stars in their thoroughness in packing all my belongs so carefully;

but then…. after they picked everything up, they went silent for 10 days with no communication on what the plan was. This stage, I would give zero stars. You will have NO point person who will text you or email you with an update on when your items will depart their warehouse (only after I filed a complaint with BBB did I suddenly get communication of a point person). I was told 21 days is the max for the furthest distance from west to east coast. I get that. But one would think that the 21 days is “moving time”/ “travel time” not, “we will store your items for 21 days and then ship it when we feel like it- to which we will give you no updates along the way”.

If they were better at communication, they would win at all phases of the pick up process.

Departure- shockingly, when they finally decided to leave California, they departed Monday and got to the east coast by Wednesday. I would give them 5 stars for their super speed.

Delivery day- The truck driver experience dropped all my 5 star experiences down to maybe 2 overall now. He ruined it all for me. I received a phone call from the driver 24 hours out that they would arrive between 9-10am the following day. At 10:15 I called the driver and woke him up. He has zero customer service skills and was not friendly at all. At 1130am he arrived with his attitude stating he couldn’t get the truck closer - to which he had 2 closer options. I walked them with him and he was very frustrated that it was closer. I learned that the driver gets to keep the $75 “long carry” fee money so they naturally try real hard to not park close. The driver CLEARLY does not understand that he represents the company. He was on the defense as soon as he arrived, irritable, treats you like you are a complete waste of his time. He made the whole experience unprofessional and sealed the deal that I will never work with this company again.

I would give 4 stars for all my belongings arriving. I was pleased that most everything arrived (as I read horror stories of things missing). We were only missing a 6’ ladder and step ladder and cleaning tools. And only 2 boxes had broken items.

If they had communication throughout all phases of the delivery process and a driver who had kind human being customer service skills, this would be a rock star company. Sadly it was a lot of ups and downs with unsettling and unprofessional moments.

THEY WILL LIE TO GET YOUR BUSINESS! ALL THEY DO IS LIE! THEY SAID I CANCELLED ON THE PICK UP DATE, WHY WOULD I CANCEL ON THE PICK UP DATE? IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE, I HAD TO SCRAMBLE TO FIND ANOTHER COMPANY FOR THE MOVE, MADES CHANGES TO TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS, DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU. I really regret agreeing to the settlement offered by Katie, now they are not honoring the settlement I will post everything, I hope no one else fall for their traps. THEY LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING! THEY SAID THEY HAVE THEIR OWN STORAGE, THEIR CREW HAD NO IDEA!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $7600

Stay away from this company, after my move from California to Kansas they lost so many of my items including a leather sofa. How is that possible, they also lost 2 of my boxes of valuable items and the damage was bad, my marble dining room table was broken in half and was worth way more than the claim I received which was a joke. The 2 lost boxes and the damage to my brand-new dryer were damaged so badly not to mention the 2 boxes of someone else's things I received, Exodus moving never helped me find the rightful owners or the way bouts of my lost items. STAY AWAY, from this company if you have things you cherish and want to keep. They do not care about your items also they do not use their own people they hire contract movers to unload as long as they get paid they show a disregard for an individual's items. I know the things that I lost will never be returned since they paid a very small claim after months of back and forth with did not cover a fraction of the cost to replace even my leather sofa, and not even close to my marble dining room table and other items. Maybe someday I will be able to locate the true owners of the boxes I have but I do not expect any help from Exodus Moving and storage

You'll regret it

Either something will be stolen, I'm sorry "missing" even though it was accounted for on their manifest.

Once all your belongings are loaded up, they double their estimate. And since most people moving are in a right spot they are forced to use this joke of a company.
