Proceed very carefully before using

Unfortunately, after using Brisk Transport previously, we will not be using or recommending them again.

We were quoted a discounted rate of $229 per hour and advised Brisk that we were moving from a four-bedroom home, although in reality we only had approximately the furniture of a three-bedroom home.

I want to be clear that the two movers who attended were absolutely lovely, polite and friendly. Our complaint is not about their manner or attitude it is about how incredibly slow the move was.

We were the most prepared we have ever been for a move. Everything was packed, ready to go and much of it had been staged ready for loading. Despite this, the move resulted in 11 hours being charged and a bill of approximately $2,400. What should have been a relatively straightforward and well-prepared move became incredibly stressful once we realised how long the job was taking and what the final cost would be.

Before Brisk responds publicly saying they are sorry to hear about our experience and asking us to contact them, we already did.

We raised our concerns directly with Brisk and gave them the opportunity to review the job and work with us on what was an unreasonable outcome. They deducted one hour from the amount owing, but otherwise maintained that because the truck was full, the time taken was justified. Unfortunately, we did not feel that adequately addressed our concern. Our issue was never whether the truck was full it was the amount of time it took to load and unload it and the speed in which those were carried out.

We deliberately chose an established local company rather than simply going with the cheapest option because we thought that would give us greater confidence in the move. Unfortunately, in our case, that decision ended up costing us significantly.

Lesson learnt. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Brisk Transport to be very mindful that you are paying a high rate and the final cost can increase very quickly if the move takes longer than it should.

Based on our experience and the way our concerns were handled afterwards, we would not use Brisk Transport again.

Worst removalists

Appalling Experience: Overcharged, Unprofessional, and Incomplete Service

I deeply regret choosing Brisk Transport for my move. From the very beginning, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. Despite booking a full 3-bedroom house move, the removalists said they were only doing one trip, leaving my partner and I to spend the following days completing the job ourselves with trailer and car loads.

The removalists frequently complained about being told the job was for only a few heavy items, despite my clear booking for a 3-bedroom house. They also mentioned having already completed two jobs earlier that day and repeatedly expressed their exhaustion and frustration with how they are treated by Brisk Transport.

The removalists refused to complete the job and resorted to making up lies to avoid it! My partner and I are still in shock at the blatant falsehoods they told, which we have uncovered through multiple phone calls to their company.

The drive between the old and new house is only 10 minutes. Somehow, that short trip took them 1.5 hours. They assured us that their 90-minute break would be deducted from the invoice but it wasn’t. I have repeatedly requested an invoice yet still three weeks later, they refuse to send an invoice.

Instead of placing all items in their correct rooms, they insisted on dumping everything in the garage because they were “in a rush to finish.” This means we were left to move items upstairs ourselves.

This company didn’t just overcharge me; they left my house move incomplete, created enormous stress, and showed no accountability or professionalism. My partner and I had to cancel all of our Christmas plans to finish the moving job with car and trailer loads.

Avoid Brisk Transport at all costs!!!!! Very unprofessional and disgusting service.

Delighted by first class experience.

The whole interaction with Brisk has been easy and simple which made our move less stressful, from getting the quote to having our furniture placed in our new home.

We moved with Brisk Transport on Monday the 19th of June. The guys arrived early and on time, they were friendly and clearly very experienced in how to pack to make everything fit. We had a lot of odds and ends, such as a load of garden pavers, but nothing was too much for Brisk. All our big and fragile furniture pieces were wrapped in special blankets and strapped down to secure it.

The service was same-day which was ideal for us. The travel distance was around 3 hours which meant that it was already dusk while unpacking, but that was no problem. All furniture were well looked after and arrived in perfect condition.

Brisk charged us a very modest fee when compared to some of the other companies who quoted us more than 3 times as much. I can highly recommend Brisk to anyone, they are professional, experienced, caring and a pleasure to do business with.
Thank you Brisk!

Terrible service

Sent a quote through of $189 fixed price to move 1 x bedroom worth of furniture and fridge to Bundaberg from Brisbane. Then called and left a message to say that the price was not reflective of their actual price. I rang back and was told that findamover.com.au actually generates the quotes and not the company so they are incorrect. I asked if they had brought this up with findamover and was told it was above his pay grade to fix the issue. I was then told that my actual quote is $5000, I said that is ridiculous as I’ve received other quotes for around $500, and it’s only 1 x bedrooms worth of items.

I was then told this is because that my area is out of their service areas.

As you would imagine I was fuming. I asked, why would you accept quotes out of your service area in the first place, and give exuberant prices??

He then replied - I’m not here to argue and hung up.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL REGRET IT AND IT WILL COST YOU DEARLY.

Moved house at the end of January 2021 and our family is STILL counting the cost as we discover more damaged property. At last count we have spent over $3000 dollars on repairs / replacement of items ‘man handled and physically bashed’ by this company . When we tried to speak to them about our concerns (telephoned them on more than 10 occasions) we were given an almighty run around only to eventually be advised it was not their problem.

FIND SOMEONE ELSE AND DON’T USE THIS COMPANY.
