Quite an awkward move (involving a lot of large outdoor potted plants!) was very well handled by Andrius and team, for a full 2-bed house move from North London to Sheffield. Nothing was damaged, and no extra charges were given to us - we had tried to give a complete inventory, but they were a little surprised with some of the items that were going in terms of size (it appears they were given a 'standard 2-bed house' estimate rather than the accurate inventory one we sent them, so maybe double check on that if you have a lot of items), but Andrius and co got stuck in and sorted it - maybe a bit lucky they came with two vans (a super large luton and a standard luton)

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: £1690

Do not use this company! Their service is absolutely AWFUL. The drivers were rude and aggressive. My husband ended up taking about 1/2 the things they were meant to transport. We ending up packing and unpacking everything despite paying for the gold service. Their phone customer service is terrible - we spent about 3 1/2 hours on hold to Anyvan on the day of the move trying to get them to help. Every person we spoke to told us something different but nobody was willing to help. The movers broke 2 valuable items which we have been told to claim on insurance but from the reviews it sounds like that is a scam too. The move was last Wednesday and until today...Monday we have not had any response from Anyvan despite complaining every day. Finally got a response today saying there is nothing they can do and are not willing to provide any discount or refund. DO NOT use the company they are AWFUL!

Avoid AnyVan, there are many other removal companies out there that will do a much better job and most importantly, look after your valuables!

AnyVan is absolutely careless, as soon as they get your money, they treat the job as done. When things go wrong you won't be able to get anyone to answer your desperate call.

We booked a Sunday fixed time slot and the driver who was allocated to do our job was running massively late. We only heard from the driver, AnyVan did not answer our calls. My wife spent over 2 hours on the phone. Only the booking department answered our call, however, we were quickly diverted and we were back again waiting for someone to answer our call.

The driver was amazing, he offered to come back the following day to finish the job. I can't thank him enough.

It is clear to us that AnyVan loads these drivers to a point where it is not reasonable to do all the jobs on time. Our valuables were collected (late) and could not be delivered on time considering that the company receiving our items was already closed.

AnyVan NO MORE for us!

They took a booking for a job they could never have fulfilled.

I am not a car expert. When I requested the job I told them that I had a non-operational hybrid car (due to water damage/flooding).

As the car's electrical system was fried, the electric brake could not be released. There was a manual overide, but it only worked for the front wheels.

After being unable to load the car I spoke to a number of other garages and they knew this would be an issue immediately.

Same applied to the driver of the pick up truck driver who knew that we would not be able to overide the electric brakes.

Any Van have refused any compensation or refund, despite the service not being started or completed. Which is frustrating as it seems anyone with any car knowledge would have known that the job was never possible.

Charged me 140 pounds for no reason. Driver made me take out my own stuff and load into the lorry even though I paid for the service.

Contacted live chat who were of no help. Got a call from the supervisor Abdul who then told me I was being charged 140 pounds because I put my floor as ground floor instead of 11th floor. (after a colleague of his had initially told me to put my floor as ground floor if there is an elevator). There was an elevator and the driver even used it.

Abdul then put me on hold for 20 minutes for no reason. Abdul then actually realised he was wrong and then said it was the wrong charge for 140 pounds. He made some excuse and said I would get a call later confirming this.

Never got the call. Had to call them again and was being transferred around. Woman on the call then said Abdul would call. Abdul then calls but ends the call 1 second after. I call back 1 minute after this and the woman on the call said Abdul is busy. She then tells me I'm being charged 50 pounds not 140 pounds when Abdul literally said I should not have been charged for 140.

Doesn't make sense for me to pay 50 pounds for the driver to use an elevator (on top of him asking me to help move my own stuff when I PAID them to do the job) (also it's not my fault their colleague initially misled me by telling me to put ground floor). Woman on the call then gives me attitude by saying I either accept the refund or no refund at all. This is laughable as it literally is a false charge and literally my rightful money. So why is the woman on the call trying to threaten withdrawing money that they literally AGREED they WRONGFULLY charged me? Make it make sense.

Avoid AnyVan and don't call them at all. They'll just deflect and pass you around. Waste of time and money.

Horrible experience. Do not rely on this company.

Cancelled our move the afternoon of our moving day. Showed no remorse and offered no alternate solutions.

Our move was booked months in advance but when the driver was late, I contacted him with photos of our things, to which he replied he would actually be hours later than the scheduled time. He asked would we prefer to have an alternate driver come in his place so that they could arrive on time, to which we replied that we would. Navaratnam told us that he would arrange this with Anyvan and we would hear from them shortly. We heard nothing.

After waiting on hold for an extended period of time, we were told our driver had taken himself off the job and there would be no drivers coming in his place, but that this was ok because they could send a driver the following week. We were moving from Wales to England with international flights arranged the following day. It was not ok.

Abdul, the customer service representative, proposed no solutions, until I insisted that he call the original mover and reassign him the job. Twice, Abdul said that he had been in contact with the driver who clarified that his pick-up time would now be later than the previous estimate. I told Abdul that we would manage the lateness of the pick-up, we just needed the items moved the day we had agreed upon. Despite Navaratnam having confirmed that he was available to do the move, Abdul did not arrange this to take place, breaching their contract, causing us significant stress and forcing us to bear excessive additional costs in finding an emergency moving company to come immediately.

The only apology that we received was at the end of our last phone call, where we were told 'We are sorry that we have not been able to provide what you had expected from us'.

Having contacted the complaints department, asking only for compensation in the difference of payment we had to make to the emergency company, we were quoted their contract saying that if their drivers are unable to perform their service they would contact us. (Which they did not do). It was also abundantly clear that the driver was able to do the delivery, he simply chose not to.

Other experiences included:

- Being cut-off mid sentence by being put on hold when Abdul disagreed with what I was saying

- Not having our pick-up time confirmed until late in the evening the night before. Despite several phone calls promising this confirmation at an earlier time.

- Needing to call and wait on the customer service line repeatedly when people promised to call back within a defined amount of time and did not.
