A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AMAZON RELOCATION Please listen and read what happened to me and DO NOT book with Amazon. I had a wonderful experience with Jake(salesman) and he explained everything thoroughly about the cost, the pick up and delivery and how smooth everything will go. I had a small shipment and needed to find a mover that would accommodate me. I estimated 30 large boxes and each piece of furniture. I knew I might go over the boxes and  anticipated to pay the difference in the cost. The moving crew came on Aug 3rd and told me the cost would be DOUBLE. I could'nt understand why with 20 extra boxes (not all large) but I had no choice but to pay. I needed to move out of my home that was sold. in the meantime, they packed up in 1  1/2 hours. Great, right? Well it came time to pay and the mover told me to "tip" the movers $100 EACH (3 men) to insure a good job and my belongings in good hands..I agreed. Jake had also promised me that my stuff would arrive in around 5 days..after phone calls and emails my belonging arrived 23 days later. all of my furniture was damaged and I am missing several very valuable items. I know that my boxes must have been opened. Each of the missing items were in different boxes. I have jewelry missing, my son's  limited addition MJ sneakers worth $250, a pro-bowl jersey and who knows what else at this point.  I feel violated and disgusted. Of course I did NOT take out any extra insurance, since I couldn't afford it and trusted that all of my boxes would arrive with nothing missing. Damages do happen but my furniture items were packed by the movers.  It goes to show you that "suckers" like me should have never gone with the honest salesman routine. And it is very hard to swallow that these items that my son and I worked so hard to buy and were special to us, could have been taken  by someone in the company. If anyone would ever have an explanation of how this can happen I would love to know. (since Jake INSISTED no0one took anything) PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!  .

The last two weeks of my life has been a complete nightmare due to my choice to utilize amazon relocation for my moving services. The estimate was great we were told the cost of shipping is $2.99 per cubic feet and that there will be additional fees for picture frames and televisions. We had 40 3 cubic feet boxes and estimate which was $879 somehow became $1800. Also, they failed to mention that they hire an outside company to actually deliver your belongings and they do not honor nor regard the date of delivery. We were scheduled to leave NYC on July 5th because our belongings were suppose to be here on the 6th however our belongings did not arrive until the 11th and every time we contacted the driver he had an issue with a customer in another state. We ended sleeping in a hotel and every time we contacted Jacob he would hang up and when we demanded to know the exact location of our belongings he used profanity and again hung up the phone. Do yourself a favor, hire professionals not thugs!

Amazon is the worst moving company I have ever come across, at first the estimate they gave me was reasonable then to find out later the final cost was $1,000 more, when they got to my place and by that time it was too late for me to do anything. Their movers are cunning demanding for over price tips and have the nerves to tell you exactly how much they want as tip if you don't meet their standards. And then my things did not arrive when they told me it will and I keep calling Amazon no one will call me back and when the things finally arrived they want me to pay extra $300 for a shuttle to get my items to my apartment and to top it all the agent (Jacob) that I dealt with is very rude. Amazon I hope all your agents are not this rude if not you need to give them customer service training. I still have not got my things up till now that I am writing imagine relocating from New Jersey to Florida and not having your things for a week, my kids and I had been sleeping on the floor all these while we are all falling sick from the strain and not having anything to cook with and no clothes or toiletries. If you are thinking of relocating PLEASE DO NOT USE AMAZON MOVERS they are the worst they are cheats and very very very rude/ disrespectful their agents are the worst, their services stinks as well. Will keep you updated, pray for me and my family to get our things.

Do not use this moving company.
They not only damaged some of my items, but they stole items at pick up (stole some items from my sis-in-law basement)but also stolen items upon delivery.
They were complete rude and irresponsible for their actions.
Lost boxes, parts of furniture (legs, etc), broke a few pieces of furniture. Dirty mattresses.
Upon delivery, they only sent two small guys, who were not able to carry heavy items, damaging walls and floor.

Again, do not use them.

This moving company is absolutely horrific. I wish I could say that they did one thing right but then I would be considered a liar and would be no better than the Amazon Relocation moving company. The multitude of issues start with the delay in them getting to my new home (1 week), the broken items including some irreplaceable family items and the "lost" goods. I quote lost because I would say it was most likely stolen.

So if you value your items and want a reliable service you are definitely not looking at the right company.

Worst moving experience ever!!My mistake is I went to their website and read reviews instead of using yelp or a google search. No matter WHAT they tell you ( I spoke to Jacob) it will absolutely definately be 2-3 times more than what they quote you. They use third party movers to transport your stuff so as soon as they pick up your belongings its a gamble as to when you will get them. The movers that unloaded my items in Florida were from LA. I am on the third floor that technically is two flights of stairs but becasue the second flight is divided into two stairways they counted it as three floors. Same amount of stairs. Jacob guraenteed me 5-10 business days for delivery as soon as they picked up my stuff on monday.I contacted them to confirm my saturday delivery and sure enough.. there was delays. Jacob's relpy to my confirmation was as follow's :  "Unfortunately we have had an unexpected delay with all shipments going to Florida. Your delivery should be sometime next week. Although I cannot tell you which day but as soon as I know I will keep you informed. We apologize for the inconvenience although this can happen with long distance transportation due to delays, truck repairs, etc…I will let you know more information as soon as I know.   Thank you, Jacob" The movers showed up at 1030pm on a tuesday night when they told me they would be here between 4-7pm. I do not blame the third party movers as they are only doing their job and move several people at once. But Amazon relocating are shady, liars who take advantage of people. Due to trusting individuals as myself, they take advantage of any customer who comes their way regardless of your situation. Do NOT trust them. Do NOT trust Jacob. Do NOT use them. Go with somone else!!  They only except cash payment on delivery and will not move a thing off thier truck until you pay in full so there is no way to dispute their costs. Did I mention DO NOT use them?? Stay away! They could care less about you or your personal belongings. Through the reviews its looks as if the more you argue with them, the more trouble they will make for you. So just avoid that at all costs and go with another company. This has been the worst moving experience ever. If you fall for their scam like I did..they will continue to be in business. Don't use them.

-- BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE OF SCAMSTERS -- WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE-- NEVER SO SUCH A DISHONEST COMPANY --When shopping for moving services I came across Amazon Relocation and talked to its Estimate department (Mr.Jacob) and he said that he can provide me the cost for moving my household stuff from TRISTATE to CA. He asked me itemized list of all furniture that we wanted to be moved. Based on the number of items he provided me a binding cost agreement of $ 1697. Another few companies provided me $ 2000 for every 2000 pound weight of cargo. (my apt furniture is very minimal compared to a typical 2 bedroom household). Since Amazon cost was low I agreed to take their services and they agreed to pick up my stuff on a weekend. 3 days before the pickup they call me and tell me that their weekend is busy and they will pick up on Monday (a working day and since I am contract work I had to forgo one days of pay to accomadate them). So on the day of pickup they give me 8.00 AM pickup time and they show up at 2.00 PM. Once they load all my stuff the moving guys tell me since my stuff has taken more space in their truck, it will cost me $ 6000 for moving my stuff, at that moment I don't know what to do, and when I complained that since they agreed on itemized cost they said they can work with me from $ 6000. When I said I don't want their services since what they agreed was something else and now they are changing their word, the guy says he can work with me from $ 6000 to $ 4000 even then I was angry and wanted them to either unload my stuff or they can throw my stuff in any garbage, and they made me talk to Jacob and this guy completely disagrees to what we had earlier agreed to and now he says he never said my cost will be based on itemized it was based on CFT. Now after feeling I got cheated I said I don't want their services and they said to unload stuff and since they spent 3 hours to load my stuff and unload I will have to pay labor costs for those 5 hours startign from they driving from NJ to my house to pick up my stuff until unloading my stuff which they said it will cost me $ 900 and when they said I have to pay this cost I didn't know what to do I was stuck with them and they started bargaining from $ 6000 to $ 4000 to $ 3000 and finally agreed to $ 2750 and since they any how chargnig me more I wanted them to pick up my additional queen mattress which I wanted to throw away. This company completely cheated me by first low balling total cost and once loaded they kind of blackmailed me to either pay $ 900 for time spent in loading my goods to unloading them back. I was in a situation of blackmail by them either pay this or that but we will certainly charge you no matter what. Another interesting this is since my cost was based on itemized things, when I wanted to add few more thigns like additinonal mattress, etc. after the initial estimate, Mr Jacob told me that he will have to charge me additional $ 300 for just mattress and then I said don't bother we will not add that mattress. So his agreement with me was always based on itemized cost, it was never based on either weight or space. This company completely cheated me and made me pay more than the agreement was.-- BEWARE OF THESE LIARS, CHEATERS -- - this is my first time move and never had experience with these kind of people, I think I learned my lesson very hard don't beleive anyone now!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I wanted my belongings delivered by a certain date and I could have had them picked up at any time, so I asked Jacob when would be best.  He guaranteed me on the phone that my belongings would be shipped within 5-7 days so I chose 7 days before my desired delivery date for them to pick up.  I called them a day before my desired delivery date to ensure my things have been shipped and they said they weren't.  When I told them I was guaranteed my things woud ship 5-7 days after pickup, the man on the phone said we can't make that type of guarantee.  When I asked when my things would be shipped, they said by that weekend.  I called again that Friday and they said my things were still not shipped and that my delivery has been delayed.  This happened several times and finally my things were delivered with damages.  I think they were waiting until they had another delivery near me, which is ridiculous.  The movers were extremely UNPROFESSIONAL as well.  The point guy asked for water for his guys (which is fine) and when I gave him a few water bottles, he said "I asked for cold water.  These aren't cold enough. Can you get some ice?" I found that to be very rude.   Also, DO NOT TRUST THEIR ESTIMATE. They charge for every little thing they use, including rolls of tape, even though the email with the estimate said all boxes and packing supplies would be provided.  .

I just moved from San Diego to New York with Amazon Relocation. They consulted with me extensively prior to the move, answering all my questions and giving me packing tips and cost-saving ideas. They were super professional, and I felt really comfortable through the whole process. I needed short-term storage on the delivery end, and they were able to provide that to me. After not seeing my belongings for 14 days, I was a little worried about how everything would turn out. The day they came to deliver my stuff, they arrived in the morning as we had agreed and professionally got everything to the 6th floor without a complaint or problem. I opted to do my own packing and unpacking, even though they offer that service. (I did pack the way they had advised me though.) Now that everything is unpacked and set up, I see that nothing was broken - big plus - and everything is accounted for. I paid about $1800 for both the moving and storage. The movers were cool on both ends and the consultants were knowlegeable not only about how to make the move efficiently, but also about New York. That was a bonus, since I've never been here.

Worst experience of my life. Very unprofessional. They have us a quote over the phone and when they finished loading their truck the price nearly doubled. One mover lowered the price if we tipped him and his guys. And gave us instructions to give him his tip when his guys weren't around. They told us it would take them 5 days to get to our new location and it took them over 2 weeks. There was bad communication between the movers and dispatch. They finally showed up to unload the truck and 2 of my flat screen HD TVs are "missing". It doesn't end there. My furniture was scratched and dented. When we spoke to a manager about our missing tvs all he said was that it wasn't his problem because he didn't misplace the tvs. He got his money and he knew he was covered. He didn't bother to help us. The movers said they would call if they saw anything when the truck was empty. No call and he won't answer when we call him. Avoid this company and go to professionals. They made life hell for me and my family.

My move to Washijngton DC from New York was supposed to be delivered on Aug 29 as the bill of lading stated. They came on Sept 1, which meant that I had to nothing in my apartment for 3 days, and had to sleep on the floor.  When the movers finally arrived my 55" flat screen TV was missing. They had charged me extra to crate it when they took it. When the driver called the main office, he was told not to write anything on the bill of lading . The driver refused, and said that the bill of lading stated that there was a TV, the boss Sharon told him only to write " missing item" but not to specify that it was a TV.  The driver knew that I heard the conversation between them, and wrote that the TV was missing and it was not loaded onto the truck. I have tried calling these people, and they give me the run around and tell me that I have to put in a claim. They have an attitude when you call to ask about my TV and refuse to acknowledge that the TV was not loaded onto the truck. They are scammers and liars. The claims dept tells me that it's a process but cannot tell me how long it will take before I get my TV or compensation. They took my payment in full before they would even unload the truck! This company is the worst moving company ever!! I later came to find out that they are not even accredited with the Better Business Bureau..It was my fault for not doing a thorough check on them. The reviews that they have on the website are all reve reviews, probably written by friends or family!

1st off they were late to pick up and drop off. There were 3 movers and one of them was a crackhead who deemed it ok to go off and smoke crack while on the job. Luckily the other 2 mover were very professional. When my things arrived to my destination at 9oclock pm. There was only one mover and he was old, too old to deliver everything in one night. I had to wait til the next morning for the rest. I payed $1200 for a move and I had to help move my own things because again there was only one old guy. He wouldn't even take my things off the truck until I gave him an extra $200 for the stairs. The company that picked my things up was not the company that delivered and I was assured that amazon relocation didn't outsource to other companies. When I called to share my displeasure wth this move, Jacob was very short and disinterested in what I was telling him.  This was a horrible experience and no I would not recommend amazon relocation to anyone for anything! Amazon relocation sucksssssssssss!

Cost almost tripled when they arrived everything was supposed to be included..not. I didn't know I had to tip the workers($300) so that the furniture would make it safely to Texas. Delivery to Texas was late due to the fact they had problems with another customer (imagine that) now instead of losing 1 day of work I lost 2. Furniture was delivered damaged now having fun putting in claim. Jacob is very good at his job I didn't know lying was a profession but he has mastered it. When he's not talking on the phones he's selling used cars out front. So feel free to use them if you want..you have been warned.
