Long-distance move from California to Colorado

You will pay double and more.

I had the most horrible moving experinence hiring alpha and homega Moving and storage.

They quoted me $1200 to move from California to Colorado by the time all my stuff was loaded in their truck they raised the price to $2100
And on the delivery it raised again to $2800
I had so many "missing" boxes and many damaged furnitures

I called the office several time and didn't get response from them and when they did the agent Phil was very rude and hanged up on me several times.

I was not sure how to proceed and felt a victim of moving scammers.

I found out that there is a way to deal with it by filing complaint at the FMCSA (federal motor carrier administration)

I'm sharing the link below for filing complaints with you for those who got scammed by this company already.

If you are looking for reliable company, this one is NOT to be hired.

Long-distance move from California to Washington

Very poor and frustrating.

VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED..
Found their staffs to be VERY RUDE, ARROGANT and non-cooperative. After delivery address was provided (within a week of pick-up date), it took 20 days to deliver (that too after several phone-calls and follow-ups). while making the booking the lady over phone (DEE BLAKE) said that Washington is their "home-state" and they will deliver within 4-5 days after delivery address is provided, but YES, it took 20 days.. Every time I called-up to follow-up, the person on phone (PHILIP) asked me to read the contract which says delivery will be done within 21 days.
So, a word of caution IF anyone is willing to hire them (or may be any other moving company) - PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY LINE-BY-LINE and DO NOT GO BY WHAT OPERATOR SAYS over phone. DEE BALKE, in my case, was "extra" sweet over phone and told all I wanted to hear about the move(i.e. it will be very fast, will be taken care without any issues etc etc), but in reality things are different. (in fact - I would recommend DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS - THEY ARE THUGS)
On delivery, noticed that ONE BOX WAS MISSING(contained my son's X-box one with extra controllers, games, kinnect and few other items), DINING TABLE could not be assembled as they had LOST the screws, SOFA (newly bought) was DAMAGED and despite bringing this to delivery person's notice, he did not care and left with RUDE and ARROGANT remarks WITHOUT taking my signatures or verifying the number of items. I just filed a claim-complaint and hoping to hear back from them (with the experience I had, this is very unlikely)

Their estimates are UNREALISTIC. I ended-up paying1 1/2 times more than what was estimated. During pick-up there were lots of issues with the pick-up man and interestingly, you cannot cancel the pick-up as they've already charged 15% from your card. If u cancel, this amount is Forfeited. During delivery, the delivery man will not start unloading UNLESS u pay the balance amount. Once u pay the amount, then they will start finding ways and means to get extra money by saying the truck woudnt fit here so u need to pay extra, the distance to carry is more than 75ft so there's an extra charge etc. etc..

MY SINCERE ADVISE - PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS FOR ANY OF YOUR NEEDS..

I wish someone from legal department notices these comments/feedbacks and takes some action against these "un-professionals" causing so much of agony and pain to fellow-citizens..

Long-distance move from California to North Carolina

Beware of these Scammers.

This is an unethical company. Just read the reviews on Yelp and they are all negative. They call you constantly to get your business, but if you have problems, they don't answer the phone or return emails. They quoted me much lower on the estimate and I gave them an exact account of all my belongings. They raised the price over $1,000 on a one bedroom move that I have done many times for much lower.
They picked up my belongings on 7/28/15. The movers were late and smelled like marajuana. They had tried the day before to pick up my belongings over the course of 2 days instead of one to save them time. It's only a one bedroom apartment.
They told me over and over that my belongings would be in North Carolina very fast because I was on their usual "route". I called over and over to see where my stuff was and they kept saying it was in their storage facility in North Carolina, but they were backed up and busy so I had to wait for a truck. I got a call from another moving company on 9/23/15 (over 2 months later) that they were now bringing my things from Los Angeles and it had been there the whole time. They kept my things in California, lied about it, and then passed off the job to another company because they over booked.
I have moved many times and this was the worst, most stressful move I have ever had. The sales rep (Jaymee) blocked my emails (they all came back to me) and never returned my many calls. When I finally got a hold of Phil, the transportation supervisor, to file a complaint, he yelled at me and hung up on me. It was the rudest behavior from a moving company I have ever witnessed.

Long-distance move from Oregon to North Carolina

3 weeks after they delivered the wrong bed, still waiting on my bed.

It's been 3 weeks since they've delivered to my final home. They delivered the wrong bed. My box spring and mattress is still no where to be found. I've called everybody I can, still getting the run around.

They never call you back. They tell you they'll call you a couple days in advance - maybe 12 hours, and it's not 'dispatch' but the actual driver - the final one could barely be understood.

I'll be contacting the BBB, posting everywhere I can about how terrible this company is.

Long-distance move from Washington to Missouri

My experence with Alpha & Omega.

DO NOT!! Hire this so called company!! They quoted me a price at $1,400. After they so called loaded there truck, it was now $29,000. And I needed to help them load the truck because it was getting to get late. 11:00 P.M. I needed to leave that next day so I had no choice. When the truck finally got to my new address, my 1700 cc yamaha had a dent in the rear fender. Of course they stated it was there before it was loaded. BULL !! They also lost 2 of my large boxes which had important papers, computor, T.V. and good clothes. I did let them know about the boxes and contents. They stated it was on another truck and would be delivered soon. 7 phone calls and 1 year later I DID NOT receive a thing. They kept denying everthing. THEY ARE A SCAM!! Please, for your peace of mind,Hire someone else.

Long-distance move from California to North Carolina

Mislead and lied too.

Defiantly I urge anyone to look more into this moving company, we compared many moving companies, but I was promised verbally something, that at the end it, never came. The sales person at Alpha & Omega was very thorough and spent time helping us estimate what our cubic volume of items was. Based on our discussion and what was quoted for for an apartment of our size to us was fair in a way, so we made an appointment for our things to be picked up, and once again, going on what the sales person verbally said and promised. The day to pick up,our things came and they were surely on time, that was was the catch. On the contract says " 1st date available for delivery ..meaning they have 21 days to deliver the items, and any ORAL PROMISE made reguarding delivery or pick up dates are MERE ESTMATES.. Whatttt? That means what ever they say its NOT true. We were Lied too and mislead by tactic sales, I can keep on writing about this company and after I called the and was passed to the operation representative, I told him how I felt and was very upset I was lied too, he told " Whatever you say to me your things will never get there on that date that you were told, because it was just an estimate." How in the world people take advantage of hard working citizens. I see things differently now and what goes around comes around. Please pick right your next moving company, ask all the questions you need to know, make it writing, get legal help like we are doing now, maybe this company does cheat on anyone anymore. And hopefully soon we will get our things back, it's been a week now.   .

Long-distance move from California to Arizona

NIGHTMARE!! Do not use this company!!

I wish I would of took the time to look into this company before using them! They are the worst company I have EVER worked with. They quoted us $1200 to move our things from California to AZ and ended up charging us triple that $3600. We were supposed to receive our things Thursday never got there it hadn't even been loaded again called multiple times no one could give us an answer on when our things would arrive, finally they said Sunday Monday, we again called multiple times and again they said our things had not left California now it's for the following Wednesday. Complete nightmare they will quote you a low price to lock you in once the movers arrive they slap you with additional charges that you are not expecting and leave you with no other choice but to use their terrible services. When the movers arrived they made us sign a bunch of blank papers with out totals and then they rack the "total" up and you get screwed over because _"you signed the contract" they are extremely misleading rude and tell you you should of read the contract before signing -They don't care about the customer avoid yourself a looonggggg nightmare.
