This is a huge warming to anyone who is looking for a cross country move. My 2 bedroom apartment was packed into two trucks during covid. The "boss" Tom started the day asking if he had to wear a mask. Then asked us to leave so he and his crew didn't have to wear masks. They repacked our home depot boxes into their wardrobe boxes, added a second truck and once the trucks where packed changed our quoted price of 10.5k to19k. Asked for a cashier's check at 7:30 at night which is impossible to do. I provided a personal check which when I called two weeks later was holding in a 15 day period. 20 days later and zero updates about wherey stuff is. Flag warning people!!!!! This is a completely unprofessional company.

David, John and Vince were extremely competent, professional, and courteous. They moved furniture down 2-3 flights of stairs and into the new two-story home without complaint. They took time and care to wrap every piece of furniture and I never noticed them bump or scrape a single wall or object while they deftly moved about. They disassembled and reassembled some of the larger pieces of furniture as well. Moving is always an extremely stressful process but these guys really helped take the edge off.

Whatever you do please DO NOT go with this “moving” company. WORST experience EVER. All the good reviews here- absolutely fake. They scammed me and I ended up out of thousands of dollars.

I had a move planned from Chi to Florida. We scheduled a time and I had already paid them a deposit. I had to be in Fl a couple of days later to start a new job so I rented a car and had my apartment lease in Fl set to begin when I arrived. I also paid for elevator spot from 8-12am. The high rise building is very strict with move times and will not grant any wiggle room. I informed my contact there (Charles) of this and texted him the night before to confirm. No answer.

No answer from Charles that morning either. I began calling the main office at 7:55 and was only able to reach them at 8:03. They stated they would check & lmk. They never called me back so I had to repeatedly call them. I was finally able to reach the dispatcher at 8:41 (41 minutes into 4 hour slot). He said he did not know about this move and had only one truck which was finishing a move in Wisconsin. Called office again several times with no answer.

Finally I got Nick Jonas, a manager in the office, on the phone at 9:04am (64 minutes into our move window).

Me. Jonas did not take responsibility for this fault and proceeded to tell me a move was like buying an airline ticket and that sometimes the plane does not show up. He also stated “your problem is not my problem.” I would have thought the company would try to reconcile the damage but they proceeded to ignore it and make excuses like it was not a big deal.

As you can imagine, at this point, I’m very upset. I’m about to lose my elevator time I paid for weeks in advance and the next one available is 2 weeks out (meaning I would have to extend my lease another month ($3100+utilities) and pay for another elevator time ($400) on top of the one I would lose today ($400). I also have a rental car I paid for

Mr. Jonas said he would speak with the dispatcher and call us back. Again, no call and had to try and call them again. This went on and on all day. My nerves were fried... They never once took responsibility or tried to make it right.

So I had to extend my lease in Chicago, Leave without my belongings (luckily my brother lives in Chicago), go to Florida and live out of hotel rooms ($$$) (because I didn’t have my things to have a functional apartment).

So then tried to contact Charles for a refund. No answer.

I then got a call from Zayra Grant, another woman from the company who said she would not refund my deposit and tried to lie and say I cancelled. I told her that the company cancelled and violated the contract when they did not show up for a scheduled move. And in fact, never even intended to show up according to their own employees.

As a result, we had to book another moving company at short notice and pay another 2 elevator fees in addition to the initial fees we had paid for the original move date.

I proceeded to research the company more closely and found several other similar complaints, which made me question the legitimacy of the company.

Even if the they had let us know at the very least a day or two earlier, we could have made other plans, but as a result of this company’s negligence, we incurred expenses totaling thousands of dollars as well as stress and frustration.

Instead of trying to rectify the situation, this company proceeded to say they wouldn’t refund our deposit.

PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE PICK ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY.
