Alltrust Movers

There's no other way to put it: our move with AllTrust left us feeling lied to, taken advantage of and left in the dark. After this experience I wouldn't trust AllTrust Moving and Storage to move a bag of kitty litter across the street. We were repeatedly sold a quick, no hassle move at a fair price with no outside contractors or third party involvement. None of that was true for our move. We were misled and left in the dark at every turn. Our movers showed up more than a day late to load with little communication from AllTrust. At no point did I observe an actual AllTrust employee or truck handling our items. One of the guys who showed up to load even told me he had been hired that day off of Craigslist! The crew that delivered our items showed up 2.5 days later than AllTrust originally promised. They drove a rented Budget truck and wore shirts from a moving company that I had never heard of. Both men that comprised the delivery crew were surly, combative and confrontational. At one point they went as far as threatening to leave with our money and our items when I had the audacity to insist on checking off the tag numbers to make sure we got all of our items. They did such a poor, half-assed job assembling furniture that I eventually just asked them to leave my house sometime after midnight. When I asked about missing parts for a bed and legs for a sofa the answer was shrugs and a flippant "Check your boxes."

Besides being misled about the timeline and lied to about how our items would be handled, after we paid our deposit the price with AllTrust just kept going up and up. Our original estimate was just under $5000 to move our two bedroom apartment 250 miles. They called two days before our scheduled pickup day for a more detailed review of our items at which point the price ballooned to $7200. Ok, fine, we had a bit more than originally estimated but a nearly 50% price increase seemed a little steep. But we went with it because of the promise of a single truck, quick move and we didn't want to lose our deposit. When the crew actually showed up to load, the driver's new and binding estimate was now $8200! A thousand dollar increase(!) including $650 for "packing and supplies"! When I showed him the contract with AllTrust that had $114 for packing and supplies the driver just shook his head and said "Not enough. $650". Now, this is where they really have you held hostage. Don't like the new price? The driver and crew leave, AllTrust calls it a customer cancellation, keeps your deposit and leaves you to figure out how to move your stuff. I will never do business with this company again and I hope this cautionary tale convinces others to stay far FAR away.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8200

I spoke with Nick Jonas for 1.5 h to plan our move from VA to GA. I ended up booking with this company 2/11/21 for a move that was planned for J6/23/2021. By May, I had not had any follow up so I decided to reach out to the company to confirm. I emailed 3x, called Nick Jonas, who the new CSV rep, Vanessa, assured me our move was scheduled and that Nick no longer worked at the company. My emails just went unanswered. I asked when I would hear from someone to do my inventory they said they do that 5-7 business days before the move. So I waited until 2 weeks before the moved and called again. This time Vanessa assured me that we were scheduled. Next we are about 6 days out form our move I call and finally get speak with Tina to do our inventory. I told Tina that since I had be waiting anxiously, I decided to look at their reviews and I was a bit nervous about using them now that I read their reviews. Tina told me that " anyone can write a review" and that " usually its the unhappy ones". We talked about this and I reasonably agreed. I realized that I could not cancel on Alltrust or I would lose our2k$ deposit. I also realized I could not pay the movers by cc it had to be cash/money order. We had a 10,000$ move scheduled. Well Tina talks me through all this I was left feeling I had no other option but to hope and pray the movers showed up. We had to be out of our house by 6/25. They were scheduled to do a " full service white glove pack". But I got off the phone with Tina after giving her over 700$ more because our move est went from 7k to over 10k after doing inventory. I again felt like I had no other option. If I canceled on Alltrust they got to keep my 2k deposit. We had on our reservation June 23rd OR the 24th. Tina just last week told me she had talked to dispatch, they had a truck and were planning on the 23rd. On the 22nd I get a call from Vanessa, who says the truck will be at our house between 12p-4p on June 23rd. I could do NOTHING but sit and wait. So June 23rd came. No one came. No one called. No one would answer the office number, I would call and it would go blank, my phone would look like it was on the phone with someone but you couldn't hear anything. I called and pleaded on voicemail. I sent emails and nothing. Finally,6/23 evening Vanessa called and said they would not make it and would be at house Thursday6/24 between 8-12 noon. I start calling the office at 8 am on 6/24. I called 17 times over the course of the morning and never once got someone in the office on the phone. I was FURIOUS. This is not what they advertise as stress free. The mover, Alex finally calls me around 1 pm and say they will be at my house around 4 pm June 24th. They had a 4 b 3 1/2ba house to "FULL WHITE GLOVE PACK". At this point do you think I had just sat there?!?! No I was packing my house up bit by bit thinking they would never show. I couldn't call another company because again our contract said June 23rd or June 24th. So technically I still could not cancel. Alex and " Tom" showed up at 4:30pm June 24th. We had to be out of our house June 25th. I was livid at the COMPANY. For their lack of communication. For them obviously avoiding my calls and not letting me know anything. Once I met Alex and " Tom" , and I only say " Tom" because I could not understand what his name was, they were two very polite, kind, hard working, immigrants who were amazing. I told Alex from the start of him showing up I would only communicate with him from there on out since the company would not answer any of my calls. I knew right away that Alex and Tom were not to blame. Alex and Tom were over worked and likely underpaid. If I could have paid them directly I would have. There were 2 other local movers that showed up to help. The young guy who was the " wrapper" left after 2 hours, said he had a family emergency. That left three movers to get our house on a truck. They stayed until 12:45 am that day. They did not fit a couch and our grill, that I paid for and had on inventory but I was so upset and honestly felt scammed by this company solely for their lack of communication that I just wanted it all to be over with. We ended up getting our belongings delivered Saturday June 26th. And I couldn't thank Alex and Tom enough. They unloaded our whole house alone, no one else showed up to help. Alex and Tom were wonderful. I only write this review to tell you the reviews are real. If you want a stress free move then do not use this company. Their lack of communication was the breaking point for me. They honestly were not overly friendly on the phone either. Nick Jonas was the front man and I was impressed with him, he was the sales guy but after that it was down hill. I have never been so disgusted by a company. Alex and Tom deserve 5 stars but the business should close and Alex and Tom start their own! It was the most expensive mistake I've ever made but my stuff arrived and in perfect shape. Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $10400

This company agreed to an initial date to pick up my son and daughter-in-law’s (and 3 small children) household goods and then at the last minute moved the date up 3 days. This was accommodated; the company then stored their belongings for 6 weeks although they’d initially stated “3 to 12 days after the requested date of delivery “. When contacted over the last 6 weeks, they would say “it’s not a popular route for delivery”.

They delivered a fraction of boxes, and one dresser. They told my son to consider the rest a loss and to file a complaint. Our son and daughter-in-law

had their lawyer call them and he was told the same thing. The movers would not come inside for hours because they claim they had not been paid. As of right now they have been paid over $9000!

The people who brought the boxes (not affiliated with Alltrust) said that there was another truck there with our stuff on it! Alltrust moving claims to not know where our stuff is and just to file a claim.

Absolutely do NOT use this company.
