ALL VIC Storage & Containers

I was moving about 40 boxes and a few other items from Melbourne to Perth.  I was told it would take about 2 weeks.  It ended up taking more than 2 months.  The cost estimate was way off, too.  The final cost was more than 40% higher than the original estimate.  Way too expensive, but I had no way of backing out by then as they had my stuff.  After waiting a bit more than 2 weeks and no sign of my stuff, I called them for an update.  And that was how it always went - me calling them for an update.  They never contacted me first to tell me what was going on.  For the first month and a half, they kept telling me "next week".  So, the lied to me.  When they first picked my stuff up in Melbourne, I asked about the quarantine declaration forms (which I knew about from a previous move to Western Australia).  I was told that for a small amount of domestic items, a quarantine form wasn't needed.  Then a few days before my stuff was firmly scheduled to arrive (more than 2 months later) I get an email from ALL VIC with the wuarantine forms attached and a nasty message saying if I didn't fill these out and get them back to ALL VIC by the end of the day, my shipoment would be delayed and I'd have to pay storage costs.  They screwed up the admin side and then wanted to charge me more for it.  I was furious but did get the forms filled out and back to them with no further monetary charges.  But my nerves were frayed.  When the stuff arived, some boxes had brown gunk on them and a box of books and a few other boxes were wet.  So, they failed to deliver my stuff quickly, they failed to provide an accurate quote, they failed to comminicate properly, they failed to deliver all my stuff unharmed.  This is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with.  Do not use them.
