I used a broker who contrated with this company and when it came time to deliver my things, they wanted an extra 4000.00. I don't have the money and they wont give me my things. I am disabled and can not move my things by myself. what started out as 4074.00 turned into 8880.00 and just don't have the money. They have everything I own..I am at the end of my rope..I am contacting social media and media outlets to tell my story because its the outlet I have left. This company is going to keep my things..I am going to try to see if I can find a lawyer but I doubt I can afford that. Please don't use this company..it is very dishonest.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4074

I relocated from Philly to Miami for school. Needless to say, money is tight. So when I received a cheap estimate from All Star, I jumped on it.

During initial talks, I was very specific with Jessica (sales woman) about what I was moving. 10 boxes, TV, Queen bed, 2 totes.

Some how on move day, the price bumps up $200 more than estimated. By this time my things are on the truck and my deposit in their pocket. So I had no choice but to cough up the extra dough.

10 days later my things arrive in Miami; late, broken and many of it missing.

Day of Arrival

The driver calls me 30 mins before to ask if my apt can fit a large truck in the lot. I say yes. He argues with me that it can't, and that it will cost an additional $400 to move it to the apt. Again, he said this all before he even arrived.

Sound like a Scam to you yet? Keep listening.

I didn't have $400 extra, so I call the police.

The police make him release my things, but he drops it at the curb and I have to ask people at my building to help me move it to my apt.

Once unpacking, I notice my tote with all my CHILDHOOD PHOTOS are missing. And most of my dishes are broken ( I bubbled wrapped everything multiple times) along with my mirror.

I'm literally heart broken at this point.

To top that off, the insurance that Jessica (sales woman) assured me I had, was actually not really insurance. They just cover 60 cent per pound, per article, they don't cover the value.

Not that money could every replace childhood photo's anyway.

What a traumatizing experience, I literally can't stop cringe thinking about how much this move has cost me, and how much I lost in the process.

But Jessica will tell you anything she can to secure that deposit. Then after, she can give two [EDIT].

Service cost: $1012

I had a truckload of good quality furniture and wall decorations when I moved, and people from All star moving were fantastic. The guys came right on time, packed, loaded and unloaded everything at my new house and did a great job. They had only one ten minute break though I asked them to have more breaks since I had so much stuff, especially some heavy chairs and sofas. The price was low and the service was high. Another fact worth talking about is the price remained the same and there was no increase or hidden costs which I had to pay. All star moving is definitely a value for service company.

Service cost: $3625

Our estamate was 893.75 actual price was 1457.28.  Delivery was scheduled for 6/16 and not delivered until 6/20.  The pick up was to be between 6/9 and 6/11 showed up on 6/11 at 8:30 p.m. after waiting all day for them.  When they didn't call on the 15th like I was told I called them the 16th and they said that they had 7 days after the date you request to deliver.  Not what I was told on the phone or by the drive that picked our stuff up.  But in small print it says they can take up to 7 days (watch the small print don't go by their word)  Were finally scheduled 6/19 waited all day again only to get a call they were running behind would be there at 7 am on the 20th.  Never arrived until 9 and then refused to bring the truck back to the apt. wanted us to get a shuttle for another$350.  Refused that so they unloaded our stuff at the entrance to the complex and we had to carry everything ourselved.  When I asked for them to put the beds together which in the contract it says to disassemble and reassemble all normal furniture they refused because they said that they were to far away from the apartment to do that.  This was the worst ever experience.  When I called the office and spoke to Jessica she hung up on me.  Talk about being professional.  Definately not!!

Service cost: $1457

This company was grate in the beginning Monica was nice and the price was grate. That soon changed after being harassed daily by her I gave in and tried to pay half down but she said it was impossible with my card and I would have to pay it all up front so seeing as I had limited time and I had to pay her any way I figured I would just pay and have it all done with so I would not have to worry but when the movers called and said they were coming it was days early and they wanted me to meet them early in the morning in -19 weather they showed up hours late and started moving things on to the truck telling me to sit in the car but when I went to see what they were doing I noticed they were going past were they were suppose to go and when I asked about it they said it would cost more almost twice what they had said it would cost I was mad to say the least and said to take my stuff off the truck I could not afford that they said once its on the truck it was their property so I had to pay and told them not to put any thing more on the truck so I had to leave half of my belongings behind and pay for a storage unit till I can make the 700 mile trip back to pick up the rest of my stuff. well once we arrived to our new house we waited on our stuff to arrive so we had some were to sleep they did not come for almost a week after they were suppose to. Having no where for my children to sleep we had to get a hotel for that week having limited funds and cloths for us to use. When they finally arrived they decided they could not bring my stuff to my house so again I had to get a storage unit more money I didn't have to spend. As it was still to cold for my daughters to be out side my mother went in my place they were mean to her and man handled my stuff after trying to get more money from her until the storage unit guy came to her rescue they let it drop. Almost all of my boxes were shattered my furniture ripped or broken and what they did not destroy they "lost" including my fathers ashes and my mothers jewley they are now saying they are no longer at fault because the man made my mom sine the paper work before he unloaded the truck and rushed yelling at her that he had a sequel to keep and she was holding him up they will be hearing from my lawyer they are frauds and thieves never use this company!! .

STOP _ DO NOT USE THIS company !  They under estimate the cost of move then on the day of the move they SHOCK you with  an additional  50% more than quoted. They do not honor their contract but force you to abide by it!             THEN they don't have enough room in truck for all your stuff because they under estimated the amount . EVEN IF you give them a detailed list with photos!      they are not professional. Especially Monica, she is the worst. Also, they do not give you an exact moving date! We were moved at 2 am! and had to hire someone to move the remaining items. We were stuck paying the extra cost because we were closing and had to vacate. The BBB did nothing to help. DO NOT USE them . If the actual moving men  are avail they might be ok but this  ALL Star team in NJ are the worst ! They force  you to pay 50% upfront - other companies only ask for 1/3 or less. I tried to cancel but would lose the 50% deposit they demanded. Also on the actual moving day when they shock you with additional costs  they force you to pay ANOTHER 50% of remainder before they load truck.  So before they put one thing in truck you pay them 75% of cost. IT IS IN THE VERY FINE PRINT!  
 
 
ISSUES: Moving estimate - off by 50%,  date/time not professional (2am) , incomplete move(had to get other movers for additional move).

Service cost: $1950

Moving company. Estimated me for half the price of the actual charge. I was estimated for around 350 cubic feet of space when supplied with the items I needed moved. When arriving to my previous home, they told me that the actual space was around 700 cubic feet. This put the estimated price of around $1300 to an actual price around $3000. I wanted to refuse service but then agreed to a flat rate of $1600 pre move, with the manager, whose name is Monica. After agreeing to this, I paid $800 upfront with the remaining $800 to be paid upon drop off. The movers treated me as if I was stupid, brought the smell of smoke into my home, and the one man was on a personal phone call with his girlfriend the whole time.

I had a certified bank check for $800 ready for drop off. The additional $800 was paid but upon arrival, movers refused to move my furniture without an another payment of $225 cash for distance and flights of stairs. Stated that they would leave all the furniture on ground level or leave the premises with my furniture. I had no choice but to give them the money, in order to get my things.

This company is horrible, and shouldn't even be in business. BE AWARE of their low estimates, they ARE NOT ACCURATE and they will take advantage of you at the last minute when you have no other choice!

Service cost: $1825

I filled up online description of my things, and I was chrgaed $ 900 deposit before they came. The day movers came to pick it up, the price was rises to $2000. This was unreasonable bc the max I expected 500 increase. I only had boxes, mantras and sofa, no more furniture. I had no choice because I had no time to find other movers, deposit is not returnable, and I have 2 days to leave my old apartment.

Worst when I moved to the other state and was waiting for my movers. The driver called me that he will be next day, but came after 2 days I don't know why. He came alone and no other guys, according to the company there were supposed to be 2 more people, total 3 to bring my things to a new appartment. It was 9 pm and of course no one picked up the phone in the office. The driver charged me final $500 otherwise he wouldn't give me stuff. On top of that he said he got screwed so no additional people come, and he has to charge me another $400 for him doing work alone and another $350 for renting smaller truck. It was a rip off. After I paid $500, luckily he let me and my husband to unload the truck alone. Not to mention we had extremely back and body pain after moving all things alone. The driver charged us big tip also.
I tried to fight and reduce the price using my Amex customer service to dispute the bill. Unfortunately they deny because I signed the contract. But Amex didn't listen to me that movers broke the contract because they didn't come to unload things according to the agreement l.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2000

Stop and Moved dispatched a pickup for a move today, My quote price was $825.00 for a specific amount of items listed on a my itinerary. I had items organized on what was to picked up and what was not to be delivered by truck, but the movers moved everything and was unable to get all my items because there was no more room for the items that were supposed to go. Then the moving company doubled the amount of my pickup to $1567.00 because of the size of my totes. THEY DID NOT SPECIFY WHAT SIZE MY TOTES HAD TO BE IN ORDER FOR MY PRICE TO BE $825.00. YES I HAD MORE TOTES, BUT SPECIFICALLY SAID 20 TOTES NOT 25 TOTES AND 2 BOXES. I paid according to my agreed upon quote, they also made me sign a contract before they confirmed my pickup items. I did not have all of the money and my card did decline, I told the moving crew leader that the items could STAY BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY, BEFORE THEY PULLED OFF WITH MY STUFF. He then proceeded to charge my card for a lesser amount, even though I explained I would not have the money to pay them for the move. Once charged for my move and the truck left, I had found out some devastating news and I needed to alter and reroute my belongings. The company was not helpful but said I signed a contract and had to pay my balance in order for my things to be released. I asked if I could reroute my things to a storage near the pickup location and was told no, I AM TOTALLY DEVASTATED BY THIS OUTCOME AS MY THINGS ARE VALUABLE TO ME AND THEY NOW ARE HOLDING THEM HOSTAGE. It hadn't even been 30 minutes that they pulled off that I need to change my relocation destination for my items, I'm TOTALLY DISTRAUGHT, my daughter's BABY PICTURES and PERSONAL IRREPLACEABLE ITEMS ARE IN THEIR CARE, I just want my items RETURNED AND MY REFUND. THEY'VE MADE MY MOVING EXPERIENCE HORRIBLE. I'M GOING TO BE HOMELESS AND MY STUFF IS GONE. THEY WERE SO BUSY TRYING TO SEE WHAT OTHER CHARGES THEY COULD ADD ON TO MY INVOICE THEY LEFT SUPPLIES BEHIND.

I completed a survey online when looking for a moving company.  This company called me right back and gave me a good price. They agreed to a pickup window and said "they'd work with me" on the pickup date.  The day before they were to pickup, I called and asked to speak with the dispatcher to arrange a time. The dispatcher told me my pickup was "problematic" for them and they would need a few more days.  When I complained they said I would lose my deposit and they would drop me. They dropped me as a "problematic" customer. I had to file a complaint with BBB and got my deposit back. I had to find another mover. Beware of All Star Movers! They are dishonest and treat customers terribly. .

Service cost: $1000

I can't begin to describe the experience. Rudest people I have ever spoken to. Broke my bed, 90% of my boxes were crushed but they claimed they didn't do any of it. They almost wrecked their truck then accused me for picking a storage building not accessible (3 other trucks were unloading at the time). Then left boxes in the hall saying it didn't all fit when the storage building was larger than the truck it came off of (they just chunked my stuff in). I was overcharged almost half of what the quote was- when I called their office to speak to their boss (called and left 3 messages with receptionist) with no return phone call. Then called 10 more times to just ringing- no answer and no answer machine to leave a message. This was not a company I had picked I went through American national van lines who sold the job to all stars. Neither will take responsibility for poor service- sad the caliber of people you have to deal with.

Service cost: $6500

Relocation specialist (Monica) at All Star Moving was rushed during the initial estimation process which led to under estimating actual costs. When trying to follow up with additional information the representatives were too busy to go over details. Once movers arrived, foreman was very unprofessional.  Broke storage the lock without any authorization and argued with storage staff.  Formean was not organized and informed me that estimate would be at least twice what was quoted. But it would fine to put the additional $1,000 on a credit card. Tried to upsell unnecessary packing supplies and services.  Worst of all, movers left items on loading dock even after I followed up personally with loaders. Tried calling the company and foreman several times to work out a solution but they will not in any way try to rectify the situation. The company assumes ZERO responsibility at all.

Service cost: $1300

This is the most traumatizing experience I have had trying to move, and I have moved many a times. This company is an absoulte scam and rip-off. The sales agent was very nice to me over the phone until I made the initial deposit (50%) for the service after which I was being treated like I am at their mercy. 
Things to Note;
1. The agent (Monica) will provide you an estimate based on boxes and rooms. She calculates the total sq ft of truck space that will be needed for the list of items I tell her. This is how they scam you. She gives you a very undercalculated estimate so that you think this is the most reasonably priced mover and you commit to them. The day of the pick-up the people who come to pick-up will load up all the items and and then tell you that the alloted space is not going to be enough and give you a final estimate which was twice the space allocated. The additiona space is now charged at a mich higher tarrif, litelrally doubling the total cost of the service. At this point you can't back out because they have already loaded up and they already have 50% of your money. So I had to bite the bullet and pay double the money.
 
2. Worst Packing: The people who came to pack and pick-up were absolutely unprofessional. They had no packing supplies. When I was not watching, they actually used my expensive towels and robes as packing material to wrap some of my fragile items. I even saw them just sliding my boxes down the stairs thinking I was not watching. 
 
3. Count your stairs: I was moving from an apartment on the 2nd floor to another apartment on the 2nd floor. As per contract the first flight of stairs was included in the charges. What they don't tell you is that 12 steps is considered on flgiht of stairs. So if you have 13 steps or more, it is counted as an additional flight of stairs. This they will only tell you when they arrive and charge you at 75$ additional per hour (Both for loading and unloading) which adds up to another 300 dollars.
 
4. No delivery date: This was the worst. They don't give you a delivery date (not even a ball park estimate), which means you are at their mercy. I had to wait 48 days before they delivered. IF you call the company, the same agent Monica will scream at you for checking in and will till you that "the driver will call you one day before the delivery". That call could come either tomorrow or one month later or one year later. They are not obliged to let you know in advance.
 
5. No insurance: When I asked the agent if the move was insured for damages, she says yes. But, please look in to the estimate carefully as they list the insurance on the move as 1 cent . ($0.01). This means you have no insurance and that if the items get damaged you are on your own.
 
6. Day of delivery: For a 2 bedroom home, only the driver showed up at the delivery residence with no helpers to unload the items. He moved everything alone and took about 3 hours to move it in. He was very rude and uncurteous to me and my wife. While we had signed up for complete moving which included assembling all the furniture back, he was reluctant to do it saying he was alone and could not do it all. 
 
7. Damaged furniture: My entrywas table was damaged and the headboard of bed was broken in to 2 pieces. He cooly tells us that they is pressed wood so it is not their responsible.
8. Agents: Thes two agents who I delt with Monica and Rachel are absoultely unprofessional and several times screamed at us and lied to us on our faces. I had to record the conversation just to keep a check on their lies. They gave so many excuses/lies that I had given up hope on ever recieving the items. They hing up the phone on me several times. And my suspicion is there is only one person who uses two alias Monica and Rachel to throw people off. 
 
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do NOT use this service.

We paid $900 for a minimum of 5 hours of moving by three movers. While on the phone with the moving company we were asked for an approximate number of items that we were to have moved. I specifically asked for 5 hours and the contract provided for 5 hour of labor by 3 individuals. Nevertheless, when the movers arrived, nearly 6 hours late, they advised us that they were only there to move approximately 75 items. My husband took a day off from work when he didn’t need to given how late the movers were. They handpicked smaller items to include in the 75, such as a small handheld toolbox. They neglected to take larger items such as a bureau, treadmill and ottoman. My husband and his friend ended up moving approximately half of the items themselves because the movers were constantly complaining about exceeding the 75 items. The movers were done in 4 hours and spent some of the time complaining about the number of items. My husband and his friend worked the whole time themselves moving items. We didn’t get all our furniture and items moved and had to do it ourselves by borrowing a truck from our friend. This was a very aggravating experience - We paid $900 for the service and did not receive $900 worth of services. There are many, many complaints to the Better Business Bureau of NJ and other websites, yet this company continues to get away with this behavior.

All star moving & storage utilized all its resources that it brought to my place. I loved their well groomed people and well researched logistics including wrapping materials and utensils. With the help of those I got the promptest possible service ever. It was not only prompt; they also managed to deliver everything fit and fine in my new place at Philadelphia. I was billed as I was quoted. That was something, right? Truly utilized All star moving & storage and well execution I must admit.

I can not speak for the company but, the workers are completely unprofessional! They claimed they called me to confirm that my belongings was on transit. Which they never did,. Additionally, said that they have it recorded, I said I wanted to hear it, they said that it's private. How is that private if I'm on the line and it pertains to me? Then the Relocation specialist said that I didn't have any money and that was the reason I was holding my belongings with them in Storage. Very disrespectful! STAY AWAY!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! (Please view date of this review, this is a recent experience) If you can, stay away from this company. If I could buy advertisement or billboard space, I would pay money to tell people to STAY AWAY from them. If I could give 0 stars I would. But just to make sure this gets viewed I have to leave a rating and 1 star is too generous. I know how reviews work and I do not want anyone to experience what I did and I will make sure they do not get any money from any customer if I can- By being very detail on this review. First and foremost, I booked All Star Moving Services, LLC and dealt with Jessica for July 30, 2016 pick up. She was nice in the beginning before she got our money, she was very persistent and kept calling us to see if we was going to go with their company from the quote they gave us. We finally booked the services of All Star and put down a deposit of $587 down. Once they got our money, THAT IS WHEN WE SAW THE TRUE SERVICES OF THIS COMPANY. The original day that we agreed on- the company would not honor it, they wanted us to work with them, but they did not want to work with us or even accommodate what we agreed on AND I AM THE CUSTOMER AND I EXPECT TO GET WHAT I PAID FOR. Once we told JESSICA, that this is not what it stated on our contract and what we previously discussed she proceeded to RAISE HER VOICE and TELL MY WIFE AND I SHE DOESN'T CARE THAT WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS AND THERE IS NO REFUND. (I purposely put this is caps because I want people to read this and not do business with them and not experience what we experienced). We told her we did not believe how she was treating us and guess what?? She continued to asked for the dates of pick up, as if she was not disrespectful and she really thought she would get our business. (I have voicemail to prove that she kept calling us asking for our business after the whole incident. .UNBELIEVABLE!!). Thank God we escalated the situation on getting our refund, but I REPEAT, PLEASE I REPEAT, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ALL STAR MOVING SERVICES, LLC. And just in case they try to tell you that we are some disgruntled customers..that's a lie. Do not do business with them. I believe in the power of word of mouth and I hope me giving my experience can help others stay clear of this company. Yes they are probably the cheapest out there, but TRUST ME. IT'S FOR A REASON and that reason is after you agree and pay that deposit- THEY SCREW YOU OVER and probably charge you more and say garbage like mileage or extra weight or whatever they do to stay in business and continue to rip people off. Sometime I let things go . But I could not Let this go. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. they are liars, they practice horrible business practices, and should not be in business. I wish I can give 0 stars All Star Moving Services, LLC is THE WORST company in the world..The STUPID [EDIT] on the phone Monica or Jessica both of them matter fact are the 2 most dumbest [EDIT] not only they stole my money they dumped all my stuff on the side of the highway, which I have broken items that can not be replaced and they lied about the service and try to charge me extra to bring my stuff upstairs and charging to bring my stuff in the complex , they tell us one thing and didn't put nothing on the contract instead of putting out stuff in a small box truck which I had a small room only 20 boxes and my bed they bring a semitruck with other people stuff my boxes are broken and crushed and when u call they put you hold. And they are rude and calling us liars..so I'm BEGGING YOU PEOPLE DOOOOO NOT USE THIS [EDIT] company they should shutdown forever..They are liars and con artist they out for money only they don't respect your things..
