ABS Moving and Storage Inc

Initially all was going well until I paid them. Now the telephone used for Sara is no longer in service. I have broken items, missing 12 llardros and no one to speak to about it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Two of my 70’ TV’s were damaged, tables broken right in front of me and the worker glued it back together. I moved from Dumfries Va to Ga. Cost me over 15k. Not sure what to do at this point. Can the Better Business Bureau look into this. I have lost or stolen or broken items in the thousands at the responsibility of this company.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $15000

On June 27, 2022, ABS Moving & Storage picked up my furniture and informed me through the contractual agreement that the first available delivery date would be June 30, 2022, which included a 15 business days for the latest possible delivery. Additionally, I was told that there would be a call initiated 24 hours prior to delivery and the 15 business days would culminate on July 21, 2022.

After June 27, no communication was received until I initiated a text on July 11, 2022, to Ms. Sara Green, who was the point of contact throughout the setting up of agreement. In her response to my text, she reiterated that the 15 business days would culminate on July 21, 2022, and that someone from dispatch would reach out to me with a delivery date. Today is July 23, 2022, and no further communication has been received from Ms. Green, any dispatch personnel, or driver regarding the status of delivery.

The decision to enter into this agreement with ABS Moving & Storage was based primarily on the delivery time that was specified because myself and my wife both suffer from multiple back injuries as such could not be without the use of our bed and reclining sofas for too long. It is approximately a month since we have been subjected along with our six months old daughter to sleep on an air mattress as my daughter's bassinet was also included with the furnitures that were shipped from 124 Chestnut Crossing Drive, Newark, DE 19713, to 3231 Glenmeadow Ter., Deltona, FL 32725.

The pain threshold has increased exponentially to the extent that I awoke one morning to a terrible pain in my left leg that lasted for over a week and only last weekend my neck pain caused an above normal headache that kept me awake for the majority of the night. Last night, my wife was unable to get much rest because of pain she was experiencing all over her body.

I submitted a complaint yesterday on ABS Moving & Storage website, but so far no response has been received.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2671

These guys were great. On time, nothing broke, they took care of everything, wrapped all the sofas and beds, and moved efficiently (not one of those situations where they move slower because they get paid hourly).

I also called around to several other companies and they were the lowest cost too - and the price quoted is ALWAYS higher than what they actually charge you, so it was the lowest by far from the competitors.

Definitely recommend ABS Movers for all your moving needs.

Service cost: $1562

This move was a nightmare. To start off the day, they called to say they would be 1-2 hours late. When they arrived they wanted to charge me for travel time for them to get to the job which was not discussed when I got the estimate . They handled the furniture recklessly and dropped items in transit. As a result my furniture was damaged and they did not bring it to my attention. When I complained, they spoke to each other in Spanish saying "loco". I will never use them again nor will I recommend them to anyone else.

Service cost: $225

This actually is a pretty good moving company. I was skeptical at first because of the range of mixed reviews I found all over the internet but fortunately for me, My experience with them was a good one. I moved out of MD to MO just last month and from the first call the sales office made to me up to the day my stuff arrived at my new home, best price was there to answer any last minute questions regarding the move and the driver who was bringing my stuff called about 2 hours before to let me know they were on their way. Also, If you go with Abs Moving, I recommend talking to Sam because he seems to really know his stuff, although I did talk to Joe when Sam wasn't in and he was also very helpful. Great experience overall.

Be smarter than I was and read reviews online prior to your move and chossing ABS. I contacted them because a friend had "heard" from them. It was for a move from East coast to Wets coast. When I contacted them, they were EXTREMELY pleasant and helpful and would contact me on a regular basis until I agreed to hire them. I did. They gave me a very good quote for shipping my stuff and we went with movers instead of a pod because it was cheaper..from what they had told me. Now the day of the move, a rental truck from Entreprise showed up with three very nice gentlemen, but that I suspect may have not been "legal workers". They moved our stuff and at the end the price had jumped three times, YES THREE times from the original price!! But with stress and having to empty the house that day, we did not have any other choice. My very nice sales man had told me that my stuff will be delivered ten days from that day, well make it a whole month!! and during that time, impossible to get a hold of them and when I did they would say they would call back and never would. Finally, on a Sunday at 3pm the driver calls me and said he will deliver my stuff that evening!! I said no, we were in the middle of a huge rain storm and left with no power. They came the next day. Again, the crew was very nice but a bit shaddy. The driver asked that we pay the remaining of the money cask so he could keep the business rolling!! Seriously!! Mu husband was very mad at me for finding these people and I was/ still is very mad at myself for hirring them. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!I tried to give no star but could not. I would give many many minus stars.

This company is the worst company I have ever used for anything.  They notified me the morning they were suppose to move us and said the truck was not working.  They left me without an update for 2 days and then sent us an email saying "we are unable to perform the move".  They will not compensate us for the additional costs or anything.  I never spoke to the boss.  They are doing nothing to compensate us at all.  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM THESE TERRIBLE PEOPLE.

Truly great experience i have never had a better moving experience in my life the representative on the was very informative and toke me through the process one step at a time, and then the movers themselves were just great they were professional, fast, safe, clean, and nice wrapping everything in the house making sure nothing was damaged I was truly impressed tge price was right as well and they were covid safe which was also important to me.

Bottom line is I would highly recommend this company.

These movers were amazing in all of my past experience with movers I've never had such a professional and great team of movers from the moment they came in until they finished it was non stop they were fast and cerful at the same time packing everything like it was candy I could not believe the care they toke even beyond my own expectations and on top of that the price was very reasonable it seems like everything was included like tape and moving pads things you don't really think about they also toke things apart and then put them back together at the destanetion, I also want to compliment the saleswoman that helped me through out Brooke Davis she was there every step of the way and anyone looking to move it is a great experience and a shining example of what customer service should be.

We had such a great experience with a ABS I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

The movers were prompt, professional and highly skilled, my sales person was super nice and she went over everything with me I picked ABS not because the price but because I felt that they really comfortable with what am getting my self into and I spoke with a lot of companies but after the 5th one I was done! Picking up my items they did not Leave one piece of furniture unpacked! I never seen Anything like this even my dining room chairs went inside a box! I just received my delivery and was so happy I had nothing Major break just a few dishes that are replaceable and that’s understandable it was a long distance move.

Just wanted to thank you guys for such a great job.

Sara Green was incredibly rude. When called for a quote she spoke at me, not with me. She did not listen, she was condescending and more concerned about telling me about other mover’s supposed motivations to make a commission rather than be honest. All of this “advice” was undolicited- particularly when calling for a quote. Everyone has bad days, but I think that Sarah Green’s lack of professionalism is a shame and I’m shocked that she has, in her words, “been in the industry for 20 plus years” so “let me tell you…”, Sarah should know better than to speak to an adult let alone a potential customer with such a tone while ABS. Sarah was so hellbent on telling me about myself and my move that she was totally wrong with the estimated size of my belongings. I already knew my measurements before calling but wanted to see what Sarah came up with after discussing my belongings in or see to gauge her honesty. Someone should let her know that it’s tough to give someone an accurate estimate when you don’t shut your mouth long enough to listen to them about what their needs are.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1495

This company is basically a con. As soon as they take your belongings they stop answering. I have been trying to contact them via email and phone for a week. Finally called the number they have listed on the DOT site. A man claiming to be “Mike Hanson” answered, yelled at me and berated me and gave no update on where my belongings are. He claims he will get back to me tomorrow. I’ve already notified him and his associate “Brooke Davis” by email that they have until tomorrow to provide an update and proof that they actually have my belongings or the police will be involved.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL. ABS Moving is a scam moving company. Horrible customer service, they purposely don't answer, and nothing is consistent at all. Once the initial set-up is done with Brooke, she never picks up your phone calls again. I was told multiple different time periods for drop off. It took 33 days (20 business days since eligible drop off time) for us to receive our things. On top of that when it finally arrived I was missing quite a few boxes and a ladder and the contents of those boxes are worth a lot. I called multiple numbers trying to get updates during the waiting period and I realized that all my calls were going to voicemail so I called from my Google phone number and they picked up right away citing a different excuse. This means that they purposely don’t pick up or provide updates. I had another family that moved from the same area as us to the same apartment complex in Texas with the same company but their stuff was picked up two days prior. For some reason, our stuff is not with theirs, which seems like a terrible use of resources as it is a cross-country move and they said that they do multiple moves in one and just map out the routes. Wouldn't it make sense to put the stuff for people moving to the same building?? On top of that, they are passive aggressive in their responses, if they ever respond it’s only to texts and don't pick up the phone. They said the delays are due to truck mechanical problems, however I have an AirTag in my stuff and I know that none of my stuff has moved once since pick up. Are all their trucks broken? Why is it that I can't get any updates or ETA's? It’s crucial as you have to buy everything essential that you might not have. When I finally was able to speak to Brooke again, she gave an excuse of a COVID outbreak. Like at least have your stories straight, dispatch is saying one thing and she was saying another. I wasn't told any of this by the way when we got a quote from them. I was told 5-10 days by the manager that arrived at my house to do the pick-up, and then their dispatch department is giving different time periods. I don’t ever write reviews for anything, but this has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company, to the point they don’t deserve to have a business license as its extreme unprofessionalism throughout it all. It’s not worth the hassle at all. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY.

Also, the driver that dropped it off didn’t work for ABS Moving, so it seems they subcontracted the work out. He even told us to never hire movers because they scam first-timers like this. I really am thinking of going to the police because I lost some very valuable things, and they have been unresponsive about it. Worst experience ever.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4200

We just got our goods after waiting 6 weeks! ABS will not answer phone calls, barely any communication. Only after having our lawyer contact them did we receive a notice that we would hear from a driver. Our stuff had been stored in a very damp or wet location, things were still wet when delivered. Boxes were collapsed, most of the furniture was damaged (legs snapped off). The pieces they took apart to wrap, they did not include the screws, etc to put them back together. Still missing pieces and boxes, assuming they were too damaged to be delivered. Arrived in a Penske truck driven by 2 drivers who were hired to just drive the truck down and unload it.

Everything we were told was a lie! They still will not return our calls, so much for our damage claims.
