When it comes to moving home, organization and planning are the keys to a stress-free move.

But you can soon end up with lists of telephone numbers, sheets of inventory, numerous checklists, and piles of spreadsheets.

Just keeping track of all the paperwork can be an added stress in itself.

But there are now home-moving apps that simplify the process and keep everything all in one place.

However, not all moving apps solve the same problem.

Some focus on planning and checklists, others on inventory tracking, and some help you hire movers or compare quotes.

Choosing the right one is important; it can help reduce moving stress and prevent costly mistakes.

This guide compares five of the most useful moving apps:

  • MoveAdvisor
  • Sortly
  • Unpakt
  • TaskRabbit
  • MagicPlan

After reviewing each app ourselves and taking into account user feedback and reviews, we will compare each one, taking into account:

  • Ease of use
  • Core features
  • Pricing

  1. I used the MoveMatch application when moving home recently – in Europe, so no problems with square metres (by the way, it’s so easy to switch to imperial measurement – and found it amazingly easy to use and so practical. It saved me so much time and money by not having to waste days waiting for movers to come to my home and assess what I was able to do myself for free with this great app. The tips were great too. I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to get the best deal when moving. I was able to save at least 3 days of my precious time and finished my move for 30% less than I had budgeted for.

  2. HashMove is a new app redefining the way you move and remove junk. We are a platform of licensed providers that you can interact with and schedule and pay through the app.

  3. I also use aMemoryJog to store my easily forgotten info. For example, home security code, storage security codes, reward card info for hotels as I move from place to place, etc. Works well.

  4. I read this post prior to moving and stumbled across this app called Moved which I ultimately decided to use for my entire move. They gave me a free concierge to execute every single part of my move i.e. ordering moving boxes, finding moving companies to service my move and cleaning service (at a discount!) to clean my apartment after I moved. Life saver!! I have a very hectic job and they were able to accommodate my whole move while I was busy at work.

  5. With sticky notes plastered all over the desk and soft board at work, keeping a track of everyday tasks can be a bit arduous. One, you cannot differentiate from one task or the other; two, you are tired of reminding your social or work circle about their pending tasks and three, tracking everyone’s productivity level is next to impossible!. There is only a one possible solution of all these problems is go for to-do list online

  6. This is undoubtedly the best thing that I’ve come across today in the internet. It was a long time that I have been thinking on this topic but I couldn’t satiate my quench for knowledge through any post that I read. However, today that I came across your article, I seem to have learnt a lot and I have also gained enough knowledge on this topic. Thanks once again.
