Sinclair Moving & Storage

I recently sold my home, and had to put the majority of my belongings into storage until I could find a place to move into. The people at Sinclair were nothing short of amazing. From the moment I called them to schedule a consultation for costs, etc. through the gentlemen who came and packed up my house, straight through the delivery of my belongings to my new home it was pure professionalism. The office staff was always available to answer my questions and the movers themselves were courteous, efficient and friendly. I happened to have the same team pick up my belongings and deliver them. Everything arrived exactly as it was packed - not a nick of damage; and it all sat in their storage facility for almost four months. I would not hesitate to recommend Sinclair movers to anyone.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2100

We hired Sinclair for our recent move. We moved from an apartment located on a 7th floor. At first, the elevator was not fully operating (it would not stay in reserved mode) but not once did the movers complain. They were patient and friendly with building management and worked fast and diligently to resolve the issue.They arrived earlier than scheduled and had us installed at our new place by noon! The movers took good care of our furniture/items and made sure everything was installed in the proper place. The entire team involved was nice and easy to work with - I felt comfortable with the entire process and felt certain that we were in good hands. I would definitely hire their services again.

I was very happy with Sinclair movers. They help keep be at ease. Once I signed with them all I had to do is call and they took care of everything. They were on time and very thoughtful. The men who came to the house and loaded up everything did so in a professional way.
Then when it came time for the delivery, again on time and very helpful and professional. I would recommend them to everyone I know. Even the office personal were great from the scheduling to the billing. Can't say enough about them.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3000

We arranged for packing and shipping. The driver was not careful with collectables and furniture. He dropped a nightstand and we found various small dents and scratches on furniture. They were in such a hurry to leave they didn't even touch anything up. He spent a lot of time trying to arrange the next pick-up, so it was really slow.

Upon arrival, they showed us a dish box of the most important collectables that had been dropped and also dented on the top. The top items were not damaged but when we got further down several items were broken including a tempered glass tabletop and antique bowl that was smashed. Not enough to claim with our deductible.

The good side is that they arrived on schedule and dropped our items off in the early part of the delivery window.

Service cost: $4000

Move was horrible and the staff at Sinclair was rude, disrespectful, and careless. Quote was way off track and we had to hire an additional moving company last minute to move plants that Sinclair would not move. We also had to make several trips back and forth with our own vehicle to move items that did not fit in the truck because they sent the wrong size truck. We filed a claim on October 1,2011 to cover damages and we are still waiting for the check to this day. Several of our large items were never unpacked and set up nor was any of the beds or furniture. All items were put in the basement and we had to move everything upstairs. The owner was rude and said " sue me if you want" I have all intentions of doing so. If you care about your property DO NOT USE SINCLAIR.

Do not use this moving company. I thought this was a reputable company under the umbrella of Mayflower, I was wrong. Nick gave me my estimate. He included my paddle board, which I explained was 10ft long. When the movers arrived they were rude and said that there was more stuff than they were told. Nothing was added from the original estimate. Then, they refused to take the paddle board, and said that it was too big. It was listed on the origional quote. Then they flat out lied and said they would pay to have it shipped through UPS and credited me $200, knowing its a $900 shipment. This is a lying, sleezy company. They are unprofessional and would not even call me back to discuss these issues. I would advise anyone NOT to use them. I am very sorry I did not go with United, they have a much better reputation for a reason.

The crew that moved us did an excellent job all the way around.  They made it easy for us. The job was fast and efficient without a hitch. They packed in three hours. We were amzed. It was our first experience with a moving company. They were all gentlemen and fun to work with. One guy even had to disassemble our armoire and put it back together. I highly recommend them. We would definitely use them again. The company from the owner, office and movers were all totally professional.Thanks guys!

Don't hire this company! Here's what happened:  #1 The estimator gave us extremely incorrect information. He said that the company would do "everything":disconnect & recable the electronics, box TV's, computers, lamps & were professionals - none of this happened! He promised "everything" and we got nothing. #2 Garden tools & 2 lamps were left in the house.  A dent was made in my dryer.  All electronics and cables were just thrown in a box. #3 Two major holes were put in the walls from moving furniture and a number of wall stains from hand and body sweat.  #4 The crew arrived at 7:10AM & there was fighting among the four of them as to "who was to do what."  This continued until I made a call to company office. This helped somewhat, but they were not "happy" movers!!#5 At the new house, the "crew", did not connect the sectional sofa, left shrink wrap on pieces of furniture, and having taken items  a part at the old house now could not find the screws & parts to put furniture, etc, back together. I have been in contact  with the owner several times about damages to my old house & furniture, but he did not seem to care about his employees' incompetence, lack of training, or damages to my house & furniture.
