My experience using Mayflower Transit for my move from Pennsylvania to Texas was excellent. I contacted several companies but when I talked to the representative for Mayflower in New Jersey, I knew this was the company I wanted to move my items. I only had a very small window to both get a quote and then have my items packed. He was there Friday for a quote and the packers came on Monday to pack and move my items. The packers and the men who delivered my items in Texas were both courteous and careful with everything. Definitely would use them again!!

Service cost: $2400

This was our first time moving an entire office (14 people, 4,000 square feet) from an office with no elevator. The set up of the move could not have been easier and on the morning of the move, the trucks showed up on time and we could not believe how quickly it all happened.

Nothing got lost, nothing got broken and the staff were a pleasure to work with.

I was so happy with the move that I am using them for a residential move in a couple of weeks.

Move size: Office Move Service cost: $3400

I just moved from a 3 bedroom house to a much smaller condo about 50 miles away. I made many last minute changes including, at the last minute, moving a piano into storage and changing the time of the delivery. All of these changes were handled efficiently and professionally. From beginning to end, I could not be happier with the service I got from Sinclair.

Special praise to the driver and crew, the same guys for pick up and delivery the next day. They were stellar!! I was not very organized in either loading or unloading. The Sinclair guys weren't just hard-working, courteous and professional, but they also helped to me in ways that weren't required and helped to ease my stress. We even managed to have a few laughs. I will always be grateful their great attitudes during a couple of very very difficult days.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3000

I had to urgently find an moving company because the one moving company back out on me last minute due to weather condition. So, I searched online and found Sinclair Moving Co. The salesmen was very accommodating and even though I called only one day ahead they were able to schedule me in.

For the move itself, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. IT WAS THE WORST MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

1. They came and said it was impossible to move all the packages and started to repeat to each other " I HAVE TO LEAVE AT 3. NO MATTER WHAT." They literally repeated this 50 times throughout the whole day. Who comes to work and just keeps repeating they don't want to work?

2. The two gentlemen that were the "managers" were on the phone for 2 hours complaining about how much equipment and packages we had. Also, they were taking photos and snap chats of each other every 10 minutes or so.

3. I received a phone call from the sales team saying that "they could not move my racks because I had to many things on the shelves" I had 2 shelves that had merchandise on it and the rest of 26 racks I had nothing on it. I sent the gentlemen a video of the cleared shelves and did not get a response or an apology.

4. Throughout the whole 8 hours, the workers that came did not work unless one of my employees were watching them. They would take 20 minute breaks and one main worker was on the phone for the whole time he was at my business.

5. I asked for some other racks to be moved inside the tracker trailer that they barely filled and was hit with a very rude "IT WILL TAKE TOO LONG, THAT AINT HAPPENING" I just don't understand why they even came to in the first place.

6. These workers are supposed to be professionals but they barely knew what they were doing. They were going so slow for every single thing and taking their time because they get paid by the hour. Once the clock struck 4 pm, I never even knew that they could move so fast. They bolted out of my business yelling "PARTY TIME LET"S HIT UP THE LIQUOR STORE". These people are the most unprofessional people that you'll ever deal with.

I wish I never used this company and just moved by myself. Do not give this company your business they charge a premium of 250 an hour + ($2430 for the 8 hours) and charge you for everything when they workers will come and fool around on their phones and complain about how much work they have to do. I CALLED YOU AND ARE PAYING YOU TO MOVE. STOP WASTING PEOPLES MONEY.

I will post pictures later on of these guys doing nothing, taking group pictures, and taking snap chats.

Move size: Commercial Move Service cost: $2340

Mayflower/Sinclair was outstanding in every way!
They moved my elderly Mom and Dad's belongings and furniture with care, professionalism and understanding that moving can be a traumatic experience for older people.
The Moving Men were timely,VERY hard working and most of all friendly,polite and receptive to my parents needs.
They made the move easy and smooth for all of us.
All this and a great price too!
I recommend Mayflower/Sin-clair HIGHLY for everyones move.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $900

I'm not one to write negative reviews on yelp, but I did a lot research before selecting a mover for my cross country move and thought this was a company that was ethical and would be worth paying a premium for. I couldn't have been more wrong. I wanted to outline a few reasons why I regret selecting this mover in the hopes that it will save someone else from making the mistake I did.

1. I received a quote for my move after an initial video call with Cecelia Lupton. She gave me a price that I agreed to and then 2 days before my move... when there was no possible option for me to find another mover...they raised the price $400.

2. They also made me pay a warehousing/storage fee based on when I could close on my house and have my things delivered. The criminal part about this was that they then delivered my things late! I had to pay an incremental $450 when it was going to have to sit in a storage facility based on their driver availability anyway! Truly classy.

3. Customer service has been absolutely terrible. I have had to call 5 times to get them to send me the form I need to submit for all the things they broke! Still haven't received it!

Save your hard earned money for a company that can actually deliver your things on time and won't screw you over by taking up the estimate 2 days before your move.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8200

I had to comeback and update my revie. I still give the movers a 5 star but I give the administration a 3star. I'm due a refund. It was explained to me up front that if a refund was due it would take up to 30 days. No problem but my move was on August 28t. I expected a my refund by September 28th. After not receiving it I reached out to my rep via email on 09/22 and was told it was scheduled to be mailed out and I should have it the following week. I never got it I reached back out on 10/12 and was told they would check billing to see where my refund is and they would contact me the following day. That didn't happen. I emailed again 10/15 to follow up since I didn't hear back from them. No respons. I called this morning and left a voice message.

I don't move often. When I do, I am overwhelmed with who I am going to pick and will I get a fair deal. I worry about who is coming to move me. What are they like. Do the actual movers operate as well as the people on the phone who sold me?

Sinclair was exceptional. So much so, here I am writing this. The crew - Ed, Ed Jr. and Girardo were professional, friendly, polite and operated with a sense of urgency. We all know moving can be an intense experience, but these guys made it just another day in pandemic paradise.

The end to end experience working with Sinclair was exceptional and I only hope I have said enough to have you stop reading this and give them a call now.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1500

We were misled by Sinclair's claims to be a "premier" mover with management, sales and staff providing the "highest level of prompt, courteous service. " Nothing could be further from the truth. Sinclair and Mayflower stubbornly refuse to pay for the damage they caused.

Do not be persuaded by Cecilia to pay a premium for "Full Value" Protection. When the Sinclair/Mayflower packers and driver damaged and destroyed our precious possessions, they took two months to respond to the claim and then started looking for loopholes to deny coverage. Most importantly, owner Bob Reeves and Mayflower will claim that they are not responsible for damage to any item that has "internal moving parts or mechanisms." That's right, when Sinclair's packers tossed my cherished turntable into a box without properly securing it, AND packed the wall mounted open face art clocks without removing the batteries thus destroying the clockworks, Bob Reeves and Mayflower denied the claim. So forget about being compensated for damage to your computers, kitchen appliances, televisions, etc.

We paid Sinclair to pack. Their packers showed up short staffed and without sufficient packing materials to complete the job. We promptly called Cecelia and Julia at the main office and were assured they would rectify the problem-nothing happened. I had to make a late night run to the hardware store to purchase additional boxes and packing materials and my wife and I worked late into the night and the entire next day after the driver arrived packing up the items Sinclair failed to pack. Sinclair, Mayflower and Bob Reeves refused to pay the claim for services not performed. By the way, Sinclair's packing job was terrible resulting in thousands of dollars in damage.

Mayflower, Sinclair and Bob Reeves did not pay for missing items. If Sinclair packs, you may not know an item is missing until you unpack all the boxes and that takes time. The mover takes the position that if you do not get the driver to acknowledge in writing that something is missing upon arrival or if you sign the driver's iPad form simply acknowledging the delivery, you have waived any right for compensation for missing or lost items.

Next, do not believe Cecelia when she tells you that damage claims may be filed up to nine months after delivery. Not true-certain claims must be filed within 60 days or a shorter period. If the driver and his crew damage your new home, you must report that claim to the driver before the driver leaves, even if you do not see the damage until later.

When we filed our claim for damages it was assigned to Unigroup Claims Team 9 where it sat for months. It appears that the team is well trained to delay and deny. Although Mayflower has offered to partially pay the claim, they stubbornly refuse to pay the balance. We have made phone calls and sent emails to Cindy Reynolds, Te'area Griffin, Fortune Akannan, along with Cecelia, and the office staff at Sinclair. Bob Reeves promised to call back and we never heard from him. Mayflower is only willing to send the matter to arbitration with an arbitrator selected and compensated by the moving industry.

Many promises made, none fulfilled.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $15000

Should have posted this sooner, but this is a move from December 2020. At best, I know moving is difficult and stressful;; however, the employees of Sinclair who moved me made things almost intolerable.

Upon arriving, the first employee who came into my home to survey the move did not wear a mask and was not friendly and had no idea where to begin. The rest of the crew entered. Just to give you some background; there was snow, ice and rock salt from the previous night’s snowfall. They made no attempt to cover the floors or the staircase, resulting in salt and water everywhere. They showed no concern. They were also outside smoking and having a loud conversation which included multiple profanities. They moved my furniture with no regard for the items, the walls, and anything else that came in their way, resulting in a broken window blind slat, and scuffs on the walls. They also used the bathroom multiple times as if it was a public restroom and were in for long periods of time. The wood floors were so wet, I had to mop them so they would not get damaged.

Upon arrival to my new home, I informed the “team” that I did not want my new home to be treated with the same disregard as my old home was. He angrily stated, “We can’t help our feet!” I asked if they had mats or anything to cover the floor. He shouted to another member to see if they had any runners. They put a few runners down. Again, there was no regard for property or safety and I had to remind them to put masks on. My Tv’s were not put in boxes, as I was charged for, but rather carried by hand and a blanket thrown on top of them. No wardrobe was provided either, as promised, and was carried out by hand and thrown on the truck somewhere that smelled like camphor.

The move continued on, and at the end I was told I would be charged for an extra hour. When the employee called the office, he was told not to charge me. Since there was significant damage to my walls, I asked how it was going to be addressed. I was rudely told that it would be in his report and someone would call me. The damages were never disclosed to me by any of the movers and when I mentioned it, not even an apology was offered. It seemed to them to be not a big deal.

It seems as though the employees who moved me had no prior experience. No weight belts, their pants were falling down, and they had no idea how to handle heavy and bulky items without screaming and making a scene. Again, COVID protocols were not addressed nor acknowledged.

I was even charged an extra hour. I only moved a few houses down the block and had a minimal amount of items. I was very dissatisfied, to say the least, with my experience and would not recommend this company to anyone.

I want to give our Sinclair movers a 5 star rating. These gentleman arrived 30 minutes ahead of schedule. They were remarkable. They handled our belongs with care. Wrapped our furniture to protect it. I was expecting this to be an all day job but it wasn't. We moved from a 1500 Sq foot 3 bedroom to the top floor of our new place. They still did not miss a beat. I'm so upset because I only remember one of the movers names(Reece). We were pleased and tipped to show our appreciation. Moving is stressful enough but This Crew was the best no stress here. It even started raining really hard but they didn't let that stop them!!! everything was dry. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! REASONABLY, PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY AND EXPERTS AT WHT they do! 5 star for sure

The overall experience was wonderful from the start. Cecilia did the estimate for us she was warm,friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I can't say enough about the movers they were quickly, efficient and careful. They pick up our things on a Thursday in New Jersey and delivered it Monday morning in Tennessee. I want to give a shout out to Marc and Mexico, they were there in NJ and in TN they were so nice. They were professional kept the team moving and got everything done very quickly and while doing so they took care of our things as well as making sure there was no damage to either house. Starting with when you transferred my furnishings from the long haul trailer into the center of town, then into your storage facility, again last year when I brought some of the items up here, then when your crew prepared 5 big items for donation to Habitat for Humanity Re-Store, and yesterday when my precious things were delivered to me here in NYC.
