They moved our 3 bed room home to North of San Antonio, a long days drive and did not complain. They took care to wrap fragile items and navigate our steep drive at the new place. Even made a slight 4 mi detour to drop items at my daughters house in route. I had always been leary of movers, but they came in at near the original privce, with a slight increase for additional wrapping materials. No 2X the quite like I feared after hearing peoples horror stories with other movers. We tried to make the job a bit easier providing bottled water and lunch in route to the destination (treating your mover right is just a courtesy everyone should follow, it's hard work). Great experience, would recommend them to others.

Similar to some stories on this page the rep Jay provided an unrealistic quote and agreed to all sorts requirements and expectations. I chose to go with Puma based on the competitive quote and ability to accommodate my moving dates. I told them all of my items were packed into a 10X15 storage unit and the contents were from a full 2 bedroom house. I expressed my concerns that the quote seemed low but he insisted his system knows better. I also told him the dates I needed my items there and he said it takes about 3-7 days so we scheduled the movers to pick up the items accordingly. When the movers arrived they were shocked and told me Jay completely underestimated the cubic sq ft and that it was going to cost me 50% more ($2500 to $5000). Then they told me it would take 2X as long to deliver it! I tried to call, text and email Jay and so far radio silence..he is your ultimate definition of a slimy scam artist. Having taken off work and booked my flights to receive my items at the new location I have been trying to call the Puma office and confirm what day my items will be delivered so I can plan accordingly. I have called for 6 hours and NO ANSWER at all! These people are all nice and polite in the beginning but once they have you hooked they couldn’t give two sh*ts. They take no responsibility and push all the blame back on the customer. Every time I speak to somebody I am told something different. The manager Javier was supposed to contact me regarding these issues.. Not a peep, coward. Disgrace of a business. @pumavanlines - be better.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $7000

The men who packed up my things in TX did a superior job. Unfortunately on the receiving end, only 2 men and a 7 year old son of the lead showed up. The child was given small articles to bring into the home and pretty much was in the way. I felt it was inappropriate to bring a child into a contracted situation. I told the lead that I did not want the child involved and I had to say it twice. I called my contact person in TX to report this and she put me on hold. She then called the lead to report what I had said right in the middle of the job!! That was completely unprofessional instead of waiting until the job was completed. I asked for a discount and was told it probably wouldn't happen.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

We booked them for a move from Texas to Florida. Initial process of assessment, quote and coordination seemed to go well. What happened afterwards is something I have never experienced in my 3 other long distance moves in the past.
1) I was verbally assured that we will get luggage in 3-5 days (5 days max). This turned out to be not true, which upset our whole move plan and added fuel to the fire of the moving stress.
2) They lost some of our stuff. They also made some very unprofessional mistakes e.g. not packing pieces of same furniture together, not packing TV cable and accessories together; which ended up being lost.
3) They broke some of our furniture.
4) The boxes and stuff was labelled poorly. A totally different party came to unpack our stuff. 2 people showed up for the work of 4. They were exhausted in 2 hours and showed displeasure in putting together our simple large furniture and simply refused some other due to complexity and didn't try. If they weren't so tired they could have done it or at-least tried; we ended up throwing away two twin beds.
5) Since the boxes were not labelled well; the delivery party just left them in our garage, which we are sorting out to date.
6) We thought we saved some money in the move with them, but ended up losing thousands more in form of lost/broken stuff, having to stay in hotels due to delayed delivery and having to buy many things we should not have due to misplaced, lost, broken things etc.
7) I am still giving 2 stars as they are working with us to compensate for all this; the result of which only God knows. And they did stay courteous in dealing with us through this mess, although it didn't change anything but will still give the credit where its due.

Will obviously not use them again or recommend to anyone else.

Thank you Mr. Noah Deutsch for your commitment in keeping your company on top of the other moving companies. You guys are the best. Nothing is ever perfect, however, your customer service is. So happy I trusted Puma with my long distance move. If I was given the opportunity again to choose any moving company I wanted, no the matter the cost, I would choose Puma Van Lines, because they actually care about their customers and the loads they put on their trucks. Will definitely recommend and use you again.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5000

They will steal your things, and then damage or break what they do not steal and absolutely refuse to return boxes. When you send them an email, they will accuse you of being another gender (yes I am serious, I have the email for proof). They employ the classic bait and switch swindle and worse. They quoted us over 2k and then, once our stuff was in their possession, told us "if you want to see it in less than 6 weeks you going to pay man!" That is a direct quote. They ended up charging us over 6K.

Puma was great from start to finish. I worked with Anthony and he was exceptional throughout the entire process. He gave me a fair and accurate quote, much lower than many competitors. Anthony was quick to respond to all my questions and assured me how the process would go. And it went exactly as he promised. Moving day was smooth, the guys packed all my moms furniture with care and precision in a very efficient manner. We were given a window for delivery and it arrived right on schedule. Movers on delivery end were excellent as well. Puma Van Lines met and exceeded my expectations. Thank you to Anthony for managing my moms move with the utmost professionalism and care.

This review is for the actual respresentatives over the phone. Rebecca has poor customer service skills, cuts you off, does not listens and is rude. I am very patient by default, but I just couldn't go forward with her, so I politely asked if I could speak to someone else. She hung up the phone. I called their main line and someone named Noah answered (seems like it's just the two person operation).He jumped at my throat when I reported my incident with Rebecca, not to mention giving me a school teacher lecture of how great they are as a moving company and how bad I must for not realizing that.

Be aware if you use them, as they will be lacking customer service and resolution capabilities if you run into any issues down the line!

Given my experience and the other similar complaints, I recommend avoiding Puma. They were, in a word, terrible—the worst mover I have used of the many movers I have used. First, Puma surprised us with a last-minute change of dates, starting to pack us up a day early and forcing us to scurry to make plans for our last days at our old location. They took an extra day to complete the job. The move had over $2000 of damage by their own accounting, and that was after they discounted many items for what we thought were unjustified reasons to get the claim below the deductible and reimburse zero. They took 3 months to devalue our claim! Puma disclaimed responsibility for ruining our antique grandfather clock which at the time we were choosing a company they misrepresented to us that they had expertise in handling. They threatened defamation against us when we objected. Two items never arrived. Puma’s response was that we needed to have noted the item’s non-arrival at the time of delivery—something that was an impossibility given the large volume of boxes.

This enterprise went above and above to alleviate our stress, accommodate our timetable at some stage in a hectic time of year, and make sure we did not need to fear approximately our property. We had a superb group on each sides - loading and unloading - from the workplace employees to the motive force and the movers. Thank you for presenting such splendid customer support and first-class! They are without a doubt expert and effective. We employed them to relocate my mom a few years ago, and we're presently using them in stages to transport our side house. They are fantastic; I might by no means use all and sundry else!

Found this company online and they had everything I needed for the move. Full service packing, Payment upfront, no hidden fees. They made the move less dreadful for sure. They took care of all the packing while I was working. They labeled all the boxes and were really organized. The guys helped unpack as well. The movers nailed it! Customer service to the max. I still thought I was going to get hit with an extra fee at the end but I was wrong. Payment really is one time here.
