PSS International Removals

PSS Just finished off our move yesterday and Barry and Steve the men packaging my house contents were fab. Good sense of humour and genuinely nice people. The guys worked their socks off and very pleased with them and PSS.

Andy the sales guy was also really nice and friendly, put our minds at rest when he told us about his own experiences of living in New Zealand. Gave us some good advice and I can only speak about my own experience of PSS but I would recommend them to anyone moving, especially Barry and Steve.

Service cost: £5514

We are currently being blackmailed to pay over £1.5k extra on the fee agreed. We went with PSS because they were one of two companies who sent out an assessor to say how much needed to be moved. The assessor has apparently got his sums wrong and the original comparative quote upon which we based our decision is now null avoid. They have our property and are refusing to deliver it unless we pay for their mistake. In addition they are threatening to demand storage charges on any extra time they have our property. Do not trust this firm - they give you competitive prices then hike them when you are vulnerable.

We moved from UK to new zealand and used PSS to ship our stuff out.
I sent lots of tools and some household stuff out.

Since I first phoned them for a quote I had nothing but trouble but the straw that broke the camels back was when I received an Email from the NZ port where everything had been delivered to say the documents PSS had sent them were illegible and I had to detour from my holiday to redo all the documents they were supposed to send them therefore doing PSS's job for them, costing me time and money!

Listed below are the other Mistakes PSS made:
- Repeatedly got my name wrong after being corrected about it repeatedly
- Failed to inform me of Customs charges I ended up having to pay once in New Zealand to release my goods
- Failed to inform me of 1-2 weeks Customs delay in picking my tools up from customs
- Shipment took longer than 12 week time frame quoted to reach Christchurch
- Failed to inform me of insurance charges when quoting me, (I only found out when I was invoiced).
- Some members of staff were quite rude and dismissive when I phoned up to question stuff

Basically PSS messed up the paperwork, delivered the shipment late, failed to inform me of lots of important details and were generally very unprofessional. The only thing that didn't go wrong is the shipment made it to me in one piece thankfully albeit late!

When I emailed them repeatedly to complain they ignored me.

I would never use PSS again and would advise other likewise.

Service cost: £325

Moved us from UK to Brisbane. Experienced estimator under estimated the volume of our household goods by nearly 20%. Cost us an extra £271.00. Appears he missed bedroom furniture off the inventory (yes, partly our fault because we should have scrutinised the paperwork). Then they shipped in 5 weeks when we said we wanted the longest shipping time possible & to change ships would cost £400. Final straw was them refusing to release our car until we paid the £271. Can't see how the car was in anyway part of the dispute over the volume of the household goods but they held us to ransom none the less. I would never recommend this company or use them again.

Eventhough it says London to London. We actually moved to Austalia but there was no option to select Australia!!
However my Partner has just arrived in Australia and has just taken delivery of our belongings with great ease. I must say that PSS have come up trumps for us as well as PSS’s agents Kent International.
From start to finish I couldn’t be more pleased with the service as they run an excellent setup and were helpful and friendly throughout, this is saying something considering we were probably the most disorganised and stressed out people ever to move.

I would highly recommend the PSS guys and would use them again in the future.

Amazing service! I moved from UK to South Australia. PSS did a great job from start to finish. The surveyor was very friendly and professional and gave us some good advice on what we could and could not take, what needed to be cleaned etc. The packers were really great, working so quickly (we kept them going with tea and biscuits!). In Australia our shipment arrived with in the estimated time and the guys on the other end did a great job delivering and unpacking everything. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
