International Sea & Air Shipping

I have had the worse experience working with this company. My sales agent, Hillary Cammer, provides a shopping estimate based on my list of things to be about $3500. They packed my things (packers too ALL day - with many breaks - for a 1 bedroom apartment) and invoiced me for $5200 because apparently my actual was larger in size. Not sure how that was possible, as I didn't have any oversized furniture. Once my stuff was picked up I never heard from the move coordinator, Marina Lara, until I reached out asking for an update. My goods were held for 2 weeks before being shipped. Hillary had assured me they would ship with couple of days after collection. I asked Marina for when my goods would arrive in Australia, she provided me with Oct 17 as the day of arrival because the were put 'on an early vessel'. I was only told about the delay after I asked Marina for an update, new date was to be Oct 28th. My goods have just now arrived at the port, Nov 5th! And I was invoiced another $2500 for port handling fees. Again, estimated amount omitted by Hillary. Do not use this company. They will say anything to get the sale and leave with screwed with your goods in their hands.

I've moved many times, and always get apprehensive, because there has not been even one moving company I would use again.  Lots of nightmare stories, including one that charged me almost twice their estimate, and held my stuff for ransom until I paid.   This was even more stressful, shipping an entire container from the US to Italy, but International Sea & Shipping were great, from start to finish.  They told me exactly what all the charges would be,even on the Italian side with customs clearance, how long the process would take, and they were all true to their word.  The guys that picked up my stuff in FL were the best ever - extremely polite, careful and kind.  Even on the Italian side, they did a great job.  Not one thing was damaged after all that.  Boaz, I thank you for being an honest, decent man, and Jeanine, you were so helpful with everything.  I could not recommend these guys more.  I feel like I got REALLY lucky.

What can I say. I hope not to move again in this lifetime but would recommend your company to anyone thinking of moving. Kudos to International Sea and Air Shipping.

International Sea and Air Shipping was helpful at every turn. They delivered boxes for things we wanted to pack; they were on time with the packing date; the personnel were courteous, careful and efficient, and when we asked for assistance and clarification with one or two things in the course of the move they were unfailingly helpful. We had a couple of minor things damaged, but with a move of this size that could be expected. Certainly it was not because things were not packed carefully. All in all, they met our expecations  and I would recommend them to anyone undertaking a move abroad. .

This company's service and client management is awful. The only good thing I can say is that they were able to help me move from Chicago to South Africa (unable to select Other in delivery country so went with the closest) at short notice, when my 1st choice mover fell through. After that, unfortunately their service went downhill. My first hint of concern was when the moving team arrived. They showed little concern for my belongings, going so far as to pick up a drawer and simply empty the contents into an already full box! They didn't take apart most of the furniture, simply wrapped it up and stuck it in a box. However, as I had limited options, I let it slide, upped my insurance and prayed for minimal damage on the other end. I knew that the port charged were not included in the original quote. When I asked for an estimate, via email, Ami cleverly did not put anything in writing but gave me a verbal quote of $400. Imagine my surprise when the actual charges came in at $1,800, due to the method of shipping. Rather than keep all of my goods together in one container (which at 400 cubic feet was possible), International Sea & Air Shipping decided to maximize their profits and combine as many shipments together as they could. This has resulted in an astronomical port charge as they need to un-couple the shipment to determine which goods are mine. I am now in a back and forth battle, trying to assess where the break in communication happened and I am getting zero response from International Sea & Air Shipping, after their initial response denying that they had ever provided a figure.
I am left feeling slightly sick at the additional costs (which I have to carry personally) and am extremely worried about the condition in which my good will arrive.

I Have moved back and forth from the US to Germany and International Sea & Air Shipping is by far the best company in my experience for moving overseas. Email were answered within minutes, I thought at times these employees don't sleep since even late in the evening my concerns were addressed. An all time first that nothing was lost and the arrival dates for delivery were what I was told they would be. Most Importantly, the movers that they work with overseas are fantastic and trustworthy. I Highly recommend these excellent movers and their team in New York. Caring, trustworthy, and reasonable pricing objectives to describe International Sea & Air Shipping.

I have move more than twice overseas and I have had the worse experience EVER working with this company. My sales agent, Niki Tatar, provides a shopping estimate based on my list of things to be about $3500 for a DOOR TO DOOR service. They packed FEW of my things (I ahd pack the rest, half of a 1 bedroom apartment) and invoiced me for $5200 because apparently my actual was larger in size (DOUBLED??). Not sure how that was possible, as I didn't have any oversized furniture, not even a couch to move. Once my stuff was picked up I never heard from the move coordinator, Marina Lara, until I reached out asking for an update. My goods were held for 2 weeks before being shipped. After the invoice discussion were they were charging my a higher than quoted $per Cubicfeet, which took a lot of back and forth to get it right (but still from 320 to 480 CuFt). My goods are about to arrive to the port, And I was invoiced another $2500 for port handling fees. Again, estimated amount omitted by Niki, as the agreement only states special costs. Do not use this company. They will say anything to get the sale and leave with screwed with your goods in their hands.

The bad news:
- The estimate was low for the furniture I had.
- It took a little longer than estimated.
The good news:
- I was able to disassemble my furniture so that my cubic footage actually came in under the estimate.
- They, and their partner in France, were great to fantastic in working in my extremely tight time window
- Packing and delivery were great. I've done about 6 international moves, this was definitely well above average.
- Everything from services at the harbor to tax forms was professionally handled, any confusions were quickly resolved.
- Any questions I had were answered very quickly and respectfully. Even stupid questions that they had answered before.
- Representatives were easily reachable by phone and email.

Ronnie and his crew did a fantastic job regarding the move. My sister had her household belongings shipped from the US to France, for delivery to Switzerland. Several days before her shipment was to go to Switzerland, she passed away and I had to contact Ronnie an International Sea and Shipping to stop the shipment from going to her apartment. I called him, told him the details and he took it from there. In no time, I heard back from him saying he took care of everything and the household belongings would be coming back to me, as I requested. The ladies at the company were so helpful, they walked me through the paperwork and made the whole process tolerable. Then when the cargo arrived here in town, the delivery guy was wonderful, he gave me arrival times that worked for my schedule. This company was great, and everyone went over and above to solve the dilemma.

Your estimate was spot on and any time I had questions you were always available. Our shipment arrived in France and the company that delivered and unpacked were as excellent as your crew in NJ . It was obvious from the minute you answered the phone that you were professional and experienced and because of that our move was smooth and painless! I will recommend International Sea & Air Shipping and you specifically to my HR department as we have about 50 Employees relocating in the next 6 mos.Thank You For Doing What You Do Best!

Overall a very good experience. This was our first time dealing with a freight shipment, so I was appreciative of the company's patience in dealing with my novice questions. Boaz was very responsive and Janice was especially helpful and friendly. After our goods cleared customs, it was a matter of days before they arrived at our door in Brooklyn. Everything was in great condition - no damage at all.

My only complaint is that we wound up paying around $1000 more than the originally quoted price in various fees, taxes, charges and who knows what else. I understand these weren't International Shipping's charges, but I wish I had had a concrete, dollar-figure conception of just how expensive all those other various fees would be, as it added significantly to our expected cost.

The entire process of moving from Pine Beach, NJ to Bonegilla, Victoria, Australia was terrific. All staff have been extremely helpful, very professional and courteous The Australian connection - Palmer Relocations were also a great company to deal with. Michael Brewer was very easy to work with and he and his team were very organised and professional. The whole process has been a great experience, I am a member of a 4,000 plus social group of Motorcycle riders, bases in NJ, but spread throughout USA and beyond - I will be giving ISAS and Palmer Relocations absolute top marks in all areas in a soon to be posted review to that group - the New Jersey Motorcycle Cruisers. International Sea & Air Shipping was a positive experience. Customer Service is a top priority for them. Tali, the Office Manager, was able to accommodate my last minute request to ship items! Tali was involved with the shipping from beginning to end keeping me updated. She was courteous and conscientious each time we communicated. My items arrived without incident and on time. The packing and delivery staff were competent and polite. I would recommend this company to my friends and family!

I just want to shout out a big thank you to the team of Robert Ruppert and Talia Aviani of International Sea & Air Shipping. This company in record time was able to deliver my mother's possessions from Puerto Rico to Florida in 5 weeks. The company that was used in Puerto Rico was PR Packers. Three individuals who were prompt, boxed quickly and we're focused. Due to my mother's illness she could not be there so as her daughter and representative, everyone from Mr. Ruppert, Ms. Aviani, Sylvia of PR Packers and the movers were professional, courteous, time conscious, punctual and gracious. Each member of this fantastic team were always willing to answer any concerns I had. They understood my dilemma and that this was my first move from one country to another. Every step of the way, I was being guided by Mr. Ruppert and his team's expertise. The three movers arrived at 8 am and did not leave until 1 pm when the move was finally complete. It was time consuming and never once did I hear any of the three men complain even though it was a very hot and humid day. When the movers finished the job, I felt as if a burden was lifted off my shoulders. International Sea & Air Shipping did excellent work. This all took place on November 19 and on December 22, 2021 my mother received her household items in Florida. Once the move had reached Florida, I received a phone call from a worker of PR Packers to coordinate the scheduled time of when the boxes would turn up in New Port Richey. Everyone and everything showed up on time and in perfect condition. Truly, as I had been informed by IS&AS staff, their commitment from door to door service is stupendous and a credit to their mission statement. I am recommending International Sea and Air Shipping and the team of Robert Ruppert to all my family and friends. Muchas gracias !

From my very first call with Hector, to coordinating with Jeanine and even making a real Minnesota snowman for Ronnie - everything was absolutely perfect. Moves like these can be stressful, emotional, and overwhelming at times, but the ISAS team made this as easy as it could be. Always available for questions (even the dumb ones), always honest about prices and timings, and always done on a personal level. Also to note that the companies that they coordinated with on either side were top shelf. Thank you to the entire team at ISAS for for taking such good care of both my family's belonging and of me as your client. Highly recommended.

This is a great moving company with serious professionals who are all very helpful, responsive, courteous and knowledgeable. From the office staff to the team of movers that come to pack - my international move went so smoothly because every single person knew the job that they were doing. We were so nervous which company to choose - and we picked exactly the right one! Everything went smoothly and according to schedule beyond expectation. They were very flexible and gracious when we had to postpone the move two times because our elevator broke down. They responded to all our questions promptly and precisely, and

I was petrified at the prospect of an international move not just because of the sheer size of the endeavor, but because so many things were completely out of my hands. By some sort of grace, I came across ISAS. I could not have asked for better service in every single aspect of this move. At each leg of the process, the company and their associates were there. Impeccable service, door-to-door. Not a single let-down when I expected so many. This crew earned the 5-star rating.

Moving your whole household to the other side of the World can be daunting and stressful. Like many, we had read online about all the things that could happen. After reading many good reviews we chose International Sea & Air Shipping.

Niki was amazing! She guided us through the procedure and she was quick to answer all our questions.

When the day arrived, an amazing team of packers arrived to our house and meticulously wrapped all of our belongings, trucked it all to their secure storage facility and later packed it all into a 40 foot shipping container. Five months later another great team of guys delivered our belongings to our new home in New Zealand. We are relieved that everything arrived safely, apart from one broken glass and a couple of damaged ornaments. NZ Customs did open and inspect many boxes! We had a lot of glasses, so kudos to the ISAS guy who packed all our kitchen stuff.

We do not plan to move again, but if we did, I would not hesitate to use Niki and ISAS again. She is very professional and her team really know their stuff.
