Eliseo was very kind and easy to work with. He offered me a very competitive and reasonable flat rate, and his favorable reviews were what sold me. The team of Eliseo and Brecken called 15 mins out and arrived right at 9 am. They efficiently went to work and were so careful with my stuff. Masks were worn the entire time, and they never complained or grumbled given heavy lifting. I've never had such a smooth move. Eliseo processed my payment upon completion and was so kind to congratulate me on my new home. I can't recommend this place enough!

I consider myself a pretty reasonable person- I mess up some times, and I understand that others do too. However, my experience with Global Moving was one of the most unprofessional, stressful, and honestly uncomfortable interactions I’ve ever had with a business. I was connected through a broker and all of my phone interactions with Global Moving prior to pickup were fine, I asked questions and was reassured and explicitly remember asking if I there was any chance they would come later than my pickup window. No need to worry, I was told, that’s what was in my contract. About an hour into my pickup window (4-7 pm) I got a call from the driver, who said he might be there that night or sometime the next day. I reiterated that I had been promised pickup a certain day, and he texted me two hours later that he was an hour away. It is now 7 pm. Two hours go by- no sign. I call, get hung up on, and get a call back saying they do night moves or they can “probably be there sometime tomorrow.” I panic at this point and agree, because I need to be halfway across the country in 24 hours and my lease ends the next day. He says they’re now two hours away (which would be about 11 pm). After hanging up, I try to call Global Moving and confirm that they know that someone will be in my home at that time. They expect me to be available at 11 pm on a Saturday- I expect their customer service to be available. No answer, except one text from a night manager or something. Hours go by, and about 12:30 am the next morning, two sweaty, tired, and agitated guys roll up to my apartment in an Enterprise Rent a Truck and start throwing my items in it. I’m trying to fill out paperwork, and they refuse to date my Bill of Lading correctly since it’s after midnight. I don’t think they explicitly meant to be intimidating, but as a young woman alone in an empty apartment, a situation with two strange ununiformed large men loading my life’s possessions into an unmarked truck, who are aware I have a large amount of cash on me, with zero confirmation from Global Moving that they are actually supposed to be there at 1 am was incredibly uncomfortable, stressful, and intimidating. I was incredibly shaken up and upset by the way I was treated and the situation I was put in.

I called management for nearly a month, honestly just looking for someone to address how upset I was. Sometimes I was apologized to and told someone would call me back immediately, sometimes I was told it wasn’t their problem. Honestly, at this point I was being completely ignored and was convinced my stuff was gone forever and that I had been scammed. The lack of communication when I had a complaint was the most upsetting part of hiring this company. My things did eventually show up, worse for wear and significantly after the time that was estimated, but I never received a call back after four weeks. You expect me to be available at 1 am on a Sunday but can’t get back to me over a month?? Ridiculous, unprofessional, dangerous, and frankly not worth any discount on your move that they might offer you.

It’s been 2+ months of lies and runaround and unanswered calls to get this money back for a job they didn’t execute. Global Moving requires a deposit before moving items, which is pretty standard. They only accept Zelle which doesn’t provide the consumer with any protection—protection that is clearly needed when using this company. Global moving required that we pay before they arrived and when our move was subsequently sold to another company, Global kept our money. My deposit is still in their accounts, despite every effort to get it back. They’ve admitted the mistake and yet haven't return this money. I’m so glad they didn’t actually move my items after reading the other reviews.

To answer the owner's potential replies to this, I am a customer. Job no: D3508194 and the phone number they provide in their responses goes to a number that no one ever picks up or returns voicemails. It belongs to Christie Strong.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $15000

We moved in January. The movers, before even putting our belongings on the truck, did thousands of dollars of damage to our belongings. They ripped cords out of desks, making them unusable, and destroyed our smoker by picking it up my the smokestack (breaking it off). They included hidden charges($1800) that we protested at the time, but they said we would have to dispute later. They finally got back to us with the amount they will reimburse us: $200.

Do not use this company.

I'm absolutely astonished that this company hasn't been shut down. Please do yourself a favor and look at the complaints listed for this BBB rated F company before you do any business with them. I promise all of the reviews there, and all of the 1 star reviews here on Google are 100% correct.

We went through a broker who had contracted Global for our move. We had agreed on an estimate after a THROUGH walk through of our house. Later, when we realized we had more stuff than originally estimated we contacted out broker again to revise the estimate. Our costs went up, as expected, but now we had everything covered. At this point we had a "binding estimate" or so I thought.

Fast forward to moving day. After walking around the house for an hour and numerous phone calls by the moving foreman we were told that to take all of our stuff we would have to pay thousands of more dollars than originally estimated. This was after the previously revised estimate, and we were well below that revised furniture and box count. Being on a Saturday and not being able to reach our broker or the moving company we were forced to have them only take a portion of the items that were listed in our binding estimate. This is text book extortion.

This situation forced us have to rent a Uhaul, and sub contract moving labor, just to get the remainder of the stuff that was agreed upon, but not taken by Global. Not only did this cost us a substantial amount of money (still substantially less than what Global attempted to extort out of us) but the time we had to expend on it was ridiculous.

We have attempted to contact Global multiple times about the situation at pick up and have only received platitudes and promises of a call back from an "escalation" manager. This never happened.

Fast forward again to day 16 of the 17 business days promised to have our stuff arrive. Still nothing, and now we are having to pester this company about where are stuff is. No communication of a delivery date as of yet. Mind you this move was only about 300 miles to an adjacent state! It's unfathomable!

Obviously do not use this company for anything unless you are a glutton for punishment, and if you are using a broker as we did, please communicate with them that you refuse to use them if they are going to contract your move through Global.

My wife asked me repeatedly to not make this review until our stuff had arrived for fear of retribution. Yes, this company is so bad, and run so poorly, that she thought they would purposely damage our items beacuse of it. That should tell you something! I'm fairly confident now that the extra money they ask for during the 11th hour of the move is to cover their ever increasing legal fees.

Before the obligatory response that they are "working on it" or that this review was "made in error" this review 100% pertains the the Global Moving based in Charlotte, NC and you are doing nothing to fix this.
