Furniture Removalist Services

Wish I had read this companies review before my move. Like most of the reviews on this page, I was left with furniture in the street and told I had too much furniture, if I didn't agree to pay an additional fee (over $650) my items would be left in the street.
I tried contacting the company several times with no return calls or email replies.
I did contact the Department of Fair Trading and they were not able to get any further then I did. FRS did not acknowledge nor reply to any of any correspondence either.
On a quote of $1,700 it ended up costing my over $3,000
I am considering taking this further.
If I could rate them ZERO stars, I would.

Two months ago I booked this service for my relocation from NSW to QLD. On 11/09/17 they arrived at my house with a truck covered in graffiti! Two drivers with no formal clothing as depicted in their pictures on the website. The truck was booked for two more jobs and I was told I couldn't get more space because of that. Driver 1 unloads half my things and leaves. A local truck arrives at my house later that evening to collect my items and to take it to their "storage" facilities. After loading the things left by driver 1 taking 45 minutes; driver 2 leaves and I get a phone call to say they were there for 3 hours and I needed to pay $350! What's worse is, they stored my things at their depot/office. Driver 1 calls me on 12/09/17 to say he'd be arriving at 4pm. At 4pm driver 1 calls again to say that the RMS has fined him for driving a defective truck and that there were multiple safety road worthy issues with his truck and is issued with license suspension as well as infringement notice for the rectification to the truck! He finally arrives at 8.30pm and leaves around midnight. But not before dropping my washing machine; denting my wall; breaking some plates and dropping another customers items! Now we get to 16/09/17 and driver 3 arrives with the rest of my possessions. Which by the way were the bases to all four our beds.. one item after the next after the next and the next are damaged! Slats are missing from the bases. My expensive headboard has been scratched and looks like it was done on purpose. My bedside table has the bottom broken. My daughter's base support has been snapped into two pieces. My guest bedroom base was broken beyond fixing. And my mirror cabinet totally dismantled. But worst is the fact that my glass white dining table has been broken which is a classic piece of furniture!
And just as I thought it could not get worse than that.. they fraudulently stored my credit card details including the CVV number and deducted a whopping $890 from my account after I told them I was not prepared to accept that they would not commit to refund me for the damage. A total of $4000 later and I have no bases to put my mattresses on; broken furniture and washing machine; no money and a Fair Trading complaint pending. Never in all my 43 years have I ever dealt with a group of liars, untrustworthy and thieves such as this group. It is illegal for any company to store or save your card details including the CVV. This means that they could access anyone's information without authority and unbeknownst to you this could happen to anyone.
As for all my patience, my forgiveness and understanding, my ignorance and willingness to save a penny or two; that has cost me much more because of FRS Removals.

**WARNING DO NOT USE THESE REMOVALISTS, THEY ARE THIEVES**

I told FRS over the phone EXACTLY what I will be needing moved from Melbourne to Sydney and given a quote. When their men arrived they asked if I was paying cash and I said yes and they spoke to each other in their language (very intimidating) they then told me that I was quoted the wrong cubic metres and that they will need an extra $300 ontop of what was quoted or they will not be taking my things. I needed to be out of my apartment on that day and I was not going to argue with two men when I'm a female on my own, so I agreed. After they had loaded the truck spending the entire time on the phone whilst carrying my things with one arm. They then told me that I can't tell FRS that the men charged me extra because they will just charge me more. I called to make a complaint after my items arrived in Sydney and all the managers were conveniently on the phone and that I need to complain via email, which I did and no response.

These removalists see vulnerable people and take advantage of them because they knew I wasn't able to carry anything. I am so shocked that companies like this are able to run and nothing has been done to stop them scamming innocent people. After reading these reviews I realised that I got lucky compared to other people who had their belongings destroyed.

These people are worthless scumbags who need to be shut down immediately !!

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $950

Be very careful with this company, they gave me a quote stating 'Door to door service - Charges start from your pick up address not our base!'.. I called to confirm, they agreed, this was the only reason I went with them. They sent the invoice and requested I reply with 'yes' to confirm the job, I stupidly replied with 'yes' without noticing they had changed the invoice and added, 'Travel To' so I would be charged from base to my pickup address. They know they are scammers. Don't go near them.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS..we got quoted $770 to move a hand full of items from qld to syd..they don't know how to safely stack, they dropped multiple items whilst loading the truck, they were unreliable (timing) and then had the nerve to refuse to transport a third of the items that were included in the quote; they refused to take t.v. on the day unless we signed an agreement to accept liability for any potential damage, and maintained that we would have to pay an additional $500 plus gst for remaining items despite not reaching capacity of cubes purchased. Upon delivery, they gave my wife a pre-completed invoice/acceptance contract to sign disclosing satisfaction; she annotated the invoice to note that not all items were delivered as agreed and emailed the company her copy, whilst the driver attempted to blackmail and intimidate her into altering it. We reported it to the company only to be offered to deliver the remainder of the items for an additional $300!!
Not happy..!!

From the time the truck eventually arrived there were add-on costs to original quote, or our goods weren't not going to be taken. The overall quality of conduct in the moving process was very poor from loading to unloading, with damage and missing items found at the other end (est. costs $1600). No external or internal accountability provided by company management and customer service specialists, only cop out legal references to terms and conditions.
If you do somehow end up using this company, let it be noted DO NOT sign any paperwork by the removalists until you have checked all your goods at delivery, irrespective of the time of completion (1030pm for us), and pressure you receive. Once you sign the paperwork you are stating all was delivered in good order.
