I moved from Switzerland (close to Zurich) to the UK (South London) and back within 1 year for an assignment.
I really invested some time to find the best moving solution out of both countries. It figured out I made the right choice as it was both ways great work from Britannia Movers!
The whole adminstrative part (Thanks again to Gina and Kelly) as well as the moving as such (big thanks to Chris!!) went extremely well and I was very happy with the whole service.

The guys showed up ontime and kept all promised timings, the packing was very professional and we had only one small piece slightly damaged within two movings. On the way back they delivered even ahead of schedule with a quite impressive speed of unpacking!

I would always recommend Britannia Movers again and did already!

My relocation was from Spain to the U.S.A. I requested 6 quotes from 6 different companies, it did not take long for me to chose "Britannia Movers International". Their "International Corporate Coordinator" Robert Hurley guided guided me step by step through the process. Nothing was too much trouble for him, all my questions were answered promptly and most important the answers were accurate and honest, this gave me the complete confidence to use Britannia. I did not have to make any phone calls all information was exchanged by e-mail. The quote was excellent and in my case offered both insurance and storage. Everything was explained in great detail with no "grey areas". The removal crew were excellent and extremely helpful making the move stress free. Not only do I highly recommend Britannia Movers International, I would most certainly use them again.

A very professional and curteous experience from start to finish. Nothing was too much for this company and its staff to deal with. We were kept in touch all through what would normally have been a very stressful time but it was fantastic. All the guys were incredible and we felt confident that our items were in good hands. Britannia showed amazing efficiency throughout the process. Prior to arrival of our ship, they made sure the correct paperwork was in place to get our goods through customs and released. They did this without fuss and they inspired confidence.
We were amazed to get a call just one week after the container ship docked to say that our goods were in their possession and could be delivered to us 3 days later.

The guys who delivered to us were really helpful. They even offered to drop part of the consignment off at our daughters home when I mentioned this was where it was going.

I have no hesitation in recommending Britannia to anyone.

After 8 years in Adelaide, we recently moved back to the UK. Our local international removalists in Adelaide contacted Britannia to deal with the UK end of our move. It all went very smoothly. The Britannia team provided us with all the information we needed, and were prompt and helpful in answering questions. Moving is stressful, particularly international moves (something we have done three times!). But Britannia took the stress out of our move. In fact they have been the best company we have used in three moves. Thanks Britannia!

Britannia was recommended to me by a friend - and I am extremely grateful to her. One hears so many horror stories about things going missing or arriving broken when being shipped overseas, and although my few possessions were not huge in the greater scheme of things, they are very precious to me.
From the start communication with Britannia was excellent. I received the quote within 24 hours and even although it was short notice for them, they fitted me into their busy packing schedule within 5 days. Their employees who packed up my flat were real gentlemen. They were polite, cheerful and ultra-efficient!
My boxes arrived within 6 weeks, and delivered by two very helpful, cheerful chaps. They even offered to unpack for me - but not required.
I cannot praise Britannia enough. Their staff are so helpful, communicative and caring.

We used Britannia as the assigned local delivery agents when we moved from California to UK. Britannia kept us informed on all aspects of the ship arrival in Southampton and possibility of storage charges as the ship got in early and we were not in the country for another 2 weeks. Fortunately we arranged for a relative to receive the goods at our house and the Britannia contact, Katie Field, was very receptive to our changing plan. She ensured the dates required for delivery - to coordinate with our relatives schedules- were achieved and that we needed to switch from a two day unpack to just one was accommodated too. Delivery went well and all was resolved successfully!

Following a needed repair in my home, Britannia Movers Int (BMI) was chosen to remove all the furniture, kept them in storage for a while and bring them back.
The Surveyor estimated correctly the volume to be moved so no surprises when the movers arrived.
For both operations (out and in) I found the people professional, courteous and able to provide solutions for any issues seen on the spot.
They were very careful about not damaging/touching/scratching the doors, walls ..
Besides this, from an admin point of view, the person who was in charge of my account (P.L.) was constantly in contact with me to confirm dates and times, need for entry clearance,.., in order to make all this as smooth as possible. And it was.
Based on this experience, I would certainly recommend BMI to anyone.

Had positive experiences moving with Britannia twice. Once to the UK & we were so satisfied with the service, I sought them out to move us back to Oz a few years later. I contacted other companies, but felt confident talking with Rob Hurley - our coordinator. He was open & honest about time frames, options to drop off or pick up goods, expectations of customs on both ends & he communicated quickly & clearly.

The process is probably longer than most people realise - that's just international sea shipping. It took about two months from door to door. Britannia didn't promised they were quicker or cheaper than anyone else however, what they did promise they delivered (literally & metaphorically). They are part of all the associations one could hope for in terms of ensuring integrity & I received consistent, clear communication throughout the process, our goods delivered when promised & no sugar coated details.

I haven't quite finished unpacking the boxes on this end but everything I have seen so far is in the condition I sent it.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them & have alread done so. Thanks for the service Rob & the team at Britannia, I'd use you again should we be on another international move.

Awful experience with this company. Still unpacking broken and damaged items, The pre packing service was atrocious! Slapdash to say the least, nothing like the the service promised. Moving from Worthing to Carmarthenshire with this company was a big expensive mistake and the Insurance cover not worth the paper it's written on. Also, a location check hadn't been carried out, consequently the van should've been down sized in order to remover itself down the lane without complications. Would definitely not recommend.

Didn't allocate enough staff. They then complained about their pay all day. I followed my belongings down the road watching my mattress swinging out of the back of the removal lorry. They caused over £1500 worth of damage. Yes I got half that amount in compensation but they never even apologised! I have since used another company to complete my move and realised just how bad this company is. Never again - and I will advise all my colleagues in the church not to use Britannia as is can't be trusted.

Britannia Removals (Edinburgh) recently carried out our house move including packing. The crew were efficient and friendly and worked effectively to package up all of our belongings including dismantling the bed frame. On arrival at our new property the boxes were unloaded swiftly, labelled appropriately and stacked in an orderly manner such that locating key items was easy.

Overall the Britannia team took all of the stress out of a house move with 2 small children and I would highly recommend them to others.

I have moved many times and usually use a different firm, but they did not do local moves on the Costa del Sol. I contacted Britannia in Fuengirola - not the cheapest, but their moves are covered by insurance and I thought they are established and could move just wanted our large furniture items and the TV. I wish I never went with them - the furniture in the living room is chipped, they packed and un-packed the TV - this was broken, but I did not check the TV until after their drivers had left and contacted the supervisor who said - what could he do at nearly 5 on a Friday! Nice! I said please come back first thing Monday - he didn´t so I called them and he insinuated I broke it. Needless to say, he was not going to accept this was their fault. Reputation is key and informed him I want nothing more to do with him or the company as I could see he was not going to replace or offer us compensation - it was in fact very hurtful and insulting to suggest we were responsible for the damaged TV - we could have forgiven the other issues to the furniture and the bracket on the leather sofa, but insinuating I broke the TV was unforgivable and extremely unprofessional. I am just glad we moved all our fragile items ourselves. So, word to the wise - if Brittania in the UK liaise with their office in the Costa del Sol for delivering their clients goods - make sure you take photos of all of your furniture, leather sofas and check your TVs are working before they leave.

After a painful flood at our flat we got in touch with brittania lanes devon as that's where we were relocating. They gave us the piece of mind and the extra care and as soppy as it sounds gave extra love to our possessions as it needed to be stored overnight. A lovely lady kerry gave us updates all throughout the move and even after the move even called to ask how the move and how we are. After dealing with insurance/loss adjusters I had lost faith but kerry gave us the extra care/security the removal guys were fantastic and professional and could see they took extra care while packing up the flat. Thank you removals team and thank you kerry out of the 5 companies we had to liase with only 2 surpassed expectations and brittania certainly did that. Thank you ladies and gents.
