LESS THAN POOR!!! SUBSTANDARD. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $

I caution ANYONE against using this company for their move. They broke a lot of the furniture. They dragged the tables and broke lamps. A lot of stuff was damaged, including our grandmother's antique chest (leg broken off!!!) They charged an arm and a leg for two guys and one guy who did nothing but sit in the truck and eat pizza. WORST MOVING COMPANY OUT THERE!!!!! Not professional, not run well.

A Wonderful Experience!

A good experience with Atlanntis Van Lines for my relocation to the West Canada. I had boxes well-packed (in the 1000 lb category), with no furniture though. From beginning to end, everything had gone smoothly.

Liz was the contact person whom I communicated with. Since my moving plan was suddenly changed, she fit me in their busy schedule on a short notice. On the pick up date, Hanna also answered my phone calls as I was waiting for the dispatch. She was kind and helpful.

Although the dispatch arrived with few hours of delay, the driver gave me a call and kept me updated. Three gentlemen ,who picked up my items, were absolutely professional, and quick. Everything wrapped up in 15-20 mins.

On the delivery date, two other gentlemen with a big truck showed up. They did their best to park the truck as close as possible to the building entry. The total weight estimated was correct as well. They had 0 intention to charge me additionally. Again, quickly my items were dropped off and placed in my house. I only paid the rest of the balance plus a 3% discharge for using a credit card. That is it.

From my experience, I could tell you that the dispatch on both pick-up and delivery sides was professional, responsible, and kind. Their intention was to get the job done while having the customers' satisfaction. Liz and Hanna both communicated well, and very quick to get back to me.

I do recommend Atlanttis Van Lines, especially if you have a long distance move which is quite stressful. As a customer, I think it is also important to pack your items/furniture well, and communicate effectively with the staff.

For any future move, I will definitely go with this company again.

- Atlanntis Van Lines, Thank You for treating your customers with care, respect, and professionalism.

Beware

BEWARE Worst possible moving company ever !!!! Zero star review , horrible communication, charged my card way more , refused to give a bill of landing , demolished both houses, threw bins down the stairs , hit my house and tree with their truck , refused to move stuff to the floors it needed to be moved too . Destroyed my front door in edmonton and as well ontario. Had to have police involved as they wouldn't take my stuff off the truck after hitting my house and tore down a good portion of my tree which fell on my truck and another vehicle . Didnt speak english at all . The women in the office are a sad pathetic excuse of humans . My childs memorial stuff from nicu and hospice was smashed and half gone out of the box with the tape completely removed. Missing 7 huge rubber maid bins and an armoire. Glass tables smashed and just given the legs back , brandnew sectional tore apart and dragged across the ground feet smashed off , office desk smashed apart , all the totes smashed with foot prints all over the lids , 90% of my stuff was delivered damaged or needed to be thrown out .

NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY, told to basically f u c k my self by the twits in the office . Was emailed a form to fill out with damages and told id get 40 to replace basically only the couch. Brandnew a week old before having it moved .

Highly suggest to go with " Atlantic " they are top notch . This company is pretending to be them with close to the same logo .

Absolutely disgusting and pitiful excuse of a company

LIARS,SCAMMERS,THEIVES

This is a terrible company. They gave me a quote and when I asked about pick up and delivery they all of a sudden increased the amount by $1200. This company gave a horrible lie as an excuse for the increase like they think we are all stupid. Watch these people they have no honor, no respect, they lie and then increase the charges. Just never use them. I had to block Liz Davidson because she wanted to continue to email me when I made it clear that I thought they were liars and would never ever trust them. I don't understand how these ignorant, lying, prejudice people stay in business.

AVOID AT ALL COST, THEY ARE DISHONEST

The most horrible experience. We hired Atlanntis to move a portion of our belonging for one person from Edmonton, AB to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

They scammed us, damaged and lost items, took no accountability and did not compensate us. They freely lied too. Provided a very low initial quote vs others and then TRIPLED it when we were held hostage (from less than $3k quoted to over $8.5k charged!) after our items were picked up, with threats of not delivering if not paying urgently and refusing to provide any supporting data or weight tickets (or any evidence to support their increased costs really).

STAY AWAY for your own sanity and do not believe their quote! Their customer service is also very rude and does not honour any of their commitments. Also, facts are not relevant to them, only their made-up stories to steal more of your money, that they will continue saying over and over, without any evidence to support their fabulation ever. Stick with professionals, any other company will be better for you. They are not worth it, their low quotes are lies and they cannot be trusted.

Avoid

Count me in as one of the scammed ones as well! 74year old grandmother moving to a retirement village. I picked this company since they offered pick and delivery with included storage in the event the condo was not available / pr the shipping arrived too early.

First the PROS: Communication from the beginning was prompt. The pick-up date was clearly communicated and the movers arrived on time, seemed caring and capable though I did have EVERYTHING packed and positioned well for loading. Unfortunately things went rapidly downhill from there. Price doubled based on the apparent higher weight (which I never received proof of), i was under the impression that the first month of storage was included only to realize that this company does NOT have a storage facility in the city I was shipping to. That was all good until I realized that they already shipped the furniture with a delivery date 2 days later! Since the condo I was shipping to wasn't ready for another 3 weeks I had to find a storage facility on my own and will now be responsible for moving the furniture myself or hire ANOTHER moving company to move my furniture into the condo. I was basically told there is nothing they can do - the van was already on the road and based on my email response I agreed to this

DO NOT USE

Worse moving company

Worse moving company I have ever heard. I moved from ON to BC and my 60" smart TV came with the screen brocked and not working. They offered me a refound of $50 Cad saying that I should contract a unsurance company and that they have no responsibility for the damage.

I should take a look in the previews reviews before contract them.

This Company is a Scam!

First, they give you a price based on how many bedrooms you have. Once you fill out a form with all of the items you will be moving there is another rate. Once they pick up your items there is an even higher rate. Then once it's time to deliver your items there is an even higher rate! They don't weigh anything. One small box they'll give a standard weight of 50 pounds. Do not trust this company!

Long-distance move from Sault Saint Marie, ON to Nanaimo, BC

Worst Company Ever!!!!!

Save your money and go elsewhere! Read the negative reviews as they are 100% accurate. We moved across Canada from Ontario to Vancouver Island we moved a family of 4 and no couches etc. only sentimental pieces of furniture and beds. We were sent an estimate which was fine I understand it is an estimate. We did not really have any large furniture as we sold most of the furniture for the move. They quote by weight according to their estimate and customer service. What they don't tell you is the weight is estimated PER ITEM. So, if you are like me and decided to pack in smaller boxes for weight limits you are DEAD WRONG! We got a call the day before and they told us they would arrive the following day with a 26' truck. We laughed because the reason we hired a moving company was because we needed a larger truck otherwise, we would have moved ourselves with a U-Haul. We took pictures of all of our stuff and sent it to them to show them the number of items, and they upgraded to a larger truck. We were quoted $6500 once everything was on the truck, we got a call that we underestimated, and it was going to cost $13000!!!! What do you do at that point all of your stuff is loaded? If we had known the estimate per item, we would have packed all things in the biggest boxes and had 15 boxes instead of 30. We were also advised by the driver that they were taking our items they just packed and unloading them in Toronto. We were never told this. They then reload your items again in Toronto make their way to Vancouver unload them again and reload them to make their way to Vancouver Island. So when you see your items nicely placed on the truck that's not how they arrive to you at your final destination. They arrived when they said they would and all of the furniture that I decided to move was damaged. And I mean EVERYTHING! Tv's broken (packed in TV boxes with packaging from Manufacturer) Bubble wrapped ripped off and dents, scratches and broken pieces on wood furniture. STEEL toolbox emptied for weight estimate what a joke. (2 months old) dented?? How does it get dented? I actually sat down and cried about the amount of damage to my stuff. My rubber maid bins were crushed, lids broken dent, holes. It was devastating that the items I brought were all trashed. I am still missing items and no one seems to know where they went. When I reached out to the claim department, I submitted a claim and was offered $40 for thousands of dollars in damage. They overestimate the weight but when it comes time to give you money back for damages, they under cut all of the weight. It cost me more for the damaged furniture and the move than it would have if I went somewhere else or had I known I would have sold more stuff and moved myself. It certainly was not worth keeping these expensive items as they are no good now with broken pieces and damage. MY ADVICE, READ THE REVIEWS THE NEGATIVE ONES ARE TRUE. SAVE YOURSELF THE DISAPPOINTMENT AND MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. These people are crooks, take your money and run!!! They should not be in business.

Horrible experience

I requested a quote from them and based on the price, I went ahead with this moving company. Everything was fine at the start, I even filled up an excel sheet detailing all my stuff that I had to move, and it was less than 1000 lbs, so they quoted me around $1350 (before taxes). And I had to pay a deposit of $650. The day the movers came, they were so aggressive with the handling of the boxes. We labeled the boxes fragile in which we put glasses. They disregarded that and put heavy boxes over the fragile ones. Also, the day before the movers come, you get a call from admin, asking you a bunch of question, like how many boxes do you have, how many steps to access your apartment, and from the main floor to the basement there are 5 steps. Then the person on the phone would tell you, ma'am, you need to pay us $1500 right now for us to dispatch the movers (excluding the deposit). They were urging you to pay it right now, in a very rude way, and when I asked why, they told me because of the boxes. I told them that it is all the items from the list I provided and they say no we charge by boxes..... The total came to around $2150. Which is way above the quotation and to note it included the 5 steps they needed to take to get to my unit. Then the movers took my stuff and I got another call that in order to deliver it to my new address, I need to pay an additional of $350 since there were more than 5 steps, I was shocked. I went outside, took a picture and send it to them. They insisted on paying them, at this point I was apprehensive in case I did not get my stuff from them, I paid them just to be done with them, My total came to around $2500. Now tell me you'd like this from a moving company. Liz was my representative. They tell you that you won't get any bad surprises on the pricing, that they are the best. Yes, ma'am you are the best in taking money from people, in handling people's stuff badly, in being rude and not being transparent. I regret taking you as my mover.

Totally an experience you would not wish on your worst enemy

The experience with having Atlanntis Van Lines move my household goods was one of the most hideous experiences of my life. There was no care and attention to keeping the belongings of others intact and in the same state as they were when they were entrusted with this company. There was no transparency in the process of booking the move and this resulted in my move being much more expensive than it could have been due to the shady tactics of filling out the forms to have the items moved. Wording was changed in only the final document so most people would not have noticed the slight change in the wording of the agreement, which ultimately overcharge customers.

The move was not completed on time, the pick up date was moved forward without notice and the damage to the belongings showed a total lack of care and attention.

What a terrible moving company!

If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Atlanntis Van Lines must be one of the worst experiences I have had with any company. Between their shady employees and having zero customer service skills, I am shocked this company is still in business. To start, on my move day my mother was overseeing this move as I was already across the country. I was told they would give 1 hour notice upon arrival, giving my mother time to get to my house. Once they had my mother on the phone, she was told if she was not there in 46 min, they were leaving, then hung up on her. The employees were speaking to one another in a language my mother could not understand in front of her and making her sign documents with things written in another language. She had no idea what she was approving. I was not there to stop this nonsense and would have stopped the move immediately after the employees hanging up the phone. I moved from NB to AB with a lost antique dresser with items inside and was offered 45 dollars after months of trying to contact and receive any type of information of where the dresser has gone. If you believe a company should have any morals and do right by their customers, please DO NOT book with this scam company. All they want is your money and after seeing the terrible reviews, I wish I would have done more research.
