Moving Problems

Do not use this company. They attempted to overcharge us for boxes and shrink wrap. We caught them and they admitted the "error" and adjusted the bill. Two of my wife's rings were missing after the move. I can't prove anything but they didn't just disappear. Watch them closely. We hired them to pack as we are elderly, and they just threw everything in boxes willy-nilly. Again, watch them closely. I am not by nature a whiner. This is the first negative review I have written. I will never use them again. Their legal structure is also a problem from a liability and risk standpoint. Their lead mover is not an employee; he's an independent contractor. Further, he hires his own crew who are independent contractors to him. The effect is that Ameritex is doubly insulated against complaints.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! BEWARE

I don’t know where to start but this experience with Ameritex was truly THE WORST EVER EXPERIENCE I ever had with any company not just a moving company. If I could give it ZERO stars I would, better yet this company and my experience this truly deserves a negative rating. My move was on June 29, 2020 and it is now July 29. I have given this company numerous chances to reach out to me and over the course of the month I have talked to one person and that was earlier this week and that one person didn’t have any solutions and said a manager would call me and he has yet to call me. This left me no choice but to write this review. I will elaborate on this review at a later date but the key points of this TERRIBLE experience is below.

My bullet points

• Takes advantage of costumers: Paid almost 3K but if I did it like I asked it would have been half as much. I left up to the so called “expert” to provide the best way for me to move.

• Did not provide what they said they were going to provide: No wardrobe boxes or tv boxes and had to pay for extra boxes since the wardrobe/tv boxes weren’t provided.

• Workers took a couple of sh!ts at property when told that the complex was out of water for a few hours due to plumbing work. Didn’t find out until next day cleaning the outgoing property

• Workers although were nice and worked hard they took a hour break and I paid for 30 minutes of it.

• Response/Communication was/is god awful after I expressed my concerns.

• Its been over a month and I have yet to talk to management about my experience.

RUN FOR THE HILLS

WHERE DO I START SCAMMERS moving crew were 60 plus year old and took 9 hours to move me and then they broke my light fixture and washer and Ameritex will not pay for anything filled out claim form and sent pictures and sent me a brochure to reach TXDMV they hire anyone off the street to move not sure they movers were insured left several messages for the manager never called me back at all

Theives

Movers stole my daughters Nintendo Switch when they moved her last week.

We've called the company twice, both times they've denied the theft.

We are filing a police report today

I'm trying to give the company the chance to make things right

We want the Switch returned...no questions asked, just return it

Or refund the moving fees to cover the cost of a new Switch.

We have and will continue to leave negative reviews & tell everyone about our experience with this company.

According to the reviews, we are not the only ones the movers are stealing from.

Personal move.

Fast, easy scheduling, even at the last minute. Very clear pricing. Excellent communication prior to the move. Arrived during 1st hour of 4 hour window. Lead mover ( Francisco ) was very accurate with his estimated time to complete. I will be recommending them if asked.

These guys were great! They never stopped. They loaded our 2 bedroom apartment into the truck in 1 1/2 hours. This is our 4th time to use Ameritex. Very satisfied,.

Move in Bala Woods from 1301to 2902.

Tomas Geronimo and Juan were Excellent!! Very nice and helpful all day with a great positive attitude. I would highly recommend all three. Can’t say enough kind things for them. They represent Ameritex very well. Hope I have their names right. Thank you again. Darlene Gassoway.

Do not hire.

Overall:
-Wasted oil in the driveway of my brand new home
-broke my things (lamp, vase, shoe rack)
-refused to pack like they said they would
-took a gas station run on my time limit
-was an hour and a half late
-didn't bring wardrobe boxes.

Do not hire. Period.

The movers did a great job.

The movers did a great job. They were quick, professional and efficient. They didn't damage any of the furniture. The three gentlemen that came out were fantastic! great attitude. I would use their services again.

The worst moving experience ever. Items missing and boxes rummaged through by movers. Items damaged as well and company not taking responsibility and suggested to file a police report.

Saw reviews on here, used previously another company. Went for something different. Crew was polite and kept me informed of situations as they developed. They were friendly and helpful with last minute re-arrangements. Recommended.

Would use them again.

I recently used ameritex moving and I could not be happier. They were very personable and careful. They came to my house and assessed how much I had to move. In the end they did so much more than expected. Would not use any other moving company.
