Do not use this company! Was quoted $500 prior to the move ($360 for the first 3 hours, $60 for every half hour after). Three men showed up in a rented Budget truck, packed, and then disappeared with my stuff for several hours. Instead, they charged $1460.00 cash. When I told them I couldn't take that much cash out at the ATM at once, they insisted I go to the bank to get cash. They followed me there and even stood at the teller until it was take out. Only then would they unload my belongings. Bad service, don't know how they get away with this.

My husband hired this company to move us within NJ. We opted for them to pack our belongings, which in hindsight was a mistake as items were stolen from us. These items included a diamond ring in an engraved ring box, two digital cameras, a National Geographic camera case, lotion, and paper towels. On moving day, my husband was informed that they do not move jewelry. However, in order for the movers to have known jewelry was present in our one chest of drawers, they would have had to open it; hence, the missing items. While packing, the movers took it as an opportunity to gain knowledge of our belongings and steal those of value.
The individuals themselves spoke broken English, and they left behind quite a bit of trash (empty tape rolls, used cups, etc.) They also did not pack various areas of our home, including the coat closet and the laundry room. The final cost was above the quoted price due to the need for additional supplies, and it had to be paid in cash at the close of moving day. If you hire this company, proceed with caution.

were pleasantly surprised from start to finish.

Andy From Admiral Van Lines was our initial point person and gave us a very
clear estimate with a guaranteed flat rate price after visiting our house.
He was very communicative, always answered his phone and responded quickly
to e-mails.

The team scheduled for the day of our move was headed by foreman George.
They arrived promptly, a crew of 4, and immediately got to work. They worked
non-stop, full of hustle and very efficient. Our delicate items and all
furniture were wrapped professionally, shrink-wrapped, taped and blanketed,
to protect them from damage. Everything was packed into the truck very much
like Tetris, quickly and very well organized to avoid anything slipping
around. They worked the same when unloading at our temporary storage unit
destination, and had everything done within about an hour.

From Andy to George to the entire crew, everyone was professional, friendly
and hard-working. We appreciate their job well done and will gladly use them
again or refer them to anyone else. Thank you Admiral Van Lines !!

WOW! I have used other moving companies in the past. But none like Admiral Van Lines. Was very impressed by their work ethic and professionalism. I'm very busy person unable to deal with a move on my own. So I looked online for professionals to help me with this sudden move, and I found Admiral Van Lines.
I was not able to pack my items. And most of my items are in a 3rd floor apartment. These guys are Machines!

They packed all of my kitchen. Living Room, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, in less time than I thought.
Respectful, Courteous, and above all GREAT Attitudes.
Moving is a very stressful process but with Admiral Van Lines they made my move feel like a breeze. Avoid the hassle and Hire professional assistance.

After multiple moves with professional movers--some of which were so incredibly painful that one can't even write a review because the recall would be so unpleasant--I honestly didn't think a company like Admiral Van Lines existed. They were that good. On every level, with every aspect of the move.

Getting a quote was fast, easy, and - best yet! - actually realistic final price. But the move itself was the real gem. The movers showed up early (early! EARLY!) and were like silent moving ninjas in the background - as we finished up tidbits of packing, they somehow managed to load the entire truck. We had two locations - also a storage space to deal with - and they even helped us pack the things going in our personal vehicle.

Arriving at the location things continued to move amazingly well. The guys moved things in quickly, were highly attentive and friendly, making sure everything got to the right spot. They were good-natured enough to move some things that we made mistakes on (a curio cabinet can eerily resemble a dresser when wrapped in blankets and plastic). And even then, at the end of a long day, they insisted on doing any final moves before they left - if we had changed our minds since they unloaded.

To top it all off, the guys were so nice. They worked their butts off, but were also incredibly friendly. They truly went above and beyond. I don't know what this company is doing to keep their employees so happy, but it seems to be working. By far the best professional moving experience we have ever had. Thank you!

I've shopped around for movers for quite some time and decide to go with Admiral Van Lines after reading all the positive reviews.Tony Daniel Nik and Ivan did amazing job moving our apartment ! The movers arrived right on time 8:00 am sharp.They packed all the furniture really quickly.Every single piece was covered with pads and wrapped.Nothing was damadge,which is remarkable considering that we had a lot of particle-board furniture.Some big items were quicly disassembled and then reassembled at our new place.The entire move 40 miles away took just slightly over 6 hours. Completly stress free expirience.Very friendly , professional,and hard-working people.Something to note is that these guys don't have any negative comments here, which was my experience as.

I must say Admiral Van Lines makes moving process painless. I called for a free quote, and they were friendly, professional and helpul.

My movers arrived early on the day we agreed and they reserved the elevator with my condo front desk in advance. I was impressed how fast they wrapped my furniture, considering I had a lot of stuff and many fragile objects. Everything arrived implacable and I was so happy.
I would highly recommend Admiral Van Lines and I would definitely use them again myself.

This was a great experience move with Admiral Van Lines. It was such a relief to outsource all moving troubles to these professionals. Andy was absolutely wonderful in helping us with all the questions and concerns we had about our move from Manhattan to Fort Lee, NJ. His was up front with price and extremely professional and prompt with answering our questions!

As for our moving CREW!! These 4 guys kicked some butt. Michael was so great. These guys made an already stressful situation less problematic by offering quick solution. They disassembled our furniture and reassembled it at our new house for us!! I mean they went above and beyond to help alleviate all the stress and headaches associated with moving. I would totally recommend these guys and when we move again, we will use these guys!!

I have to say that it was a pleasure working with everyone I came in contact with at Admiral Van Lines. The women I spoke to getting the quote and working out details and definitely the three-man crew. Just wish I could remember their names to properly thank them!

I moved over July this year. The complicated part of my move was having to move out of my place one day and move into the new place the next. Admiral Van Lines was able to accommodate storing all of my stuff overnight at their lot for a reasonable price. It did mean that I had the last time slot of the day for pickup on the 30th but that was fine with me. The crew come on time in one of the busiest moving days of the year. They took care of everything that came up (flooding on the street and cars parked where they shouldn't have been) without involving me at all. Thank goodness! They also did a very thorough job noting the nicks and scratches and cracks in my furniture before they wrapped it up so there would be no misunderstanding if I found something later and attributed it to the move.

They were on time the next day at my new apartment, unloaded everything quickly and were always asking where I wanted my furniture positioned or boxes unloaded instead of just dropping things wherever. Such a pleasure to work with!

My move ended up being close to $ 1,300, but would not have been nearly as much if I didn't need to have my belongings stored overnight. I thought the price was fair overall, and I have not found anything that was damaged or broken - even with the less than stellar job I am sure I did packing up all my boxes.

Highly recommended, especially if you need to store your stuff overnight, and you are in a situation where you need no-parking permits because there is someone on staff at Admiral Van Lines who can handle that for you.

Hopefully I won't be moving anytime soon, but these guys will be the first people I call the next time I do.

We just recently moved from New Jersey to NYC & would like to share wonderful experience which we had with Admiral Van Lines moving company. We founded them on internet, did some research ( usually we are checking 3 service companys in order to get an idea about cost), contacted them via email,set up a moving date/time , & here we are! All the process went nice & smooth( while it’s overall very stressful process!). Day before moving dispatch called to confirm our move. At the day of the move crew(3 people)& the truck arrived on time. Guys are very professional : they’re took furniture apart, wrapped it into the moving blankets ( glass & TV cover by cardboard for which we paid reasonable fees), moved to our new apartment ( they’re asked us to follow the truck in order not to loose any time to find each other, since truck can’t use some roads as a commercial plates vehicle ), unpacked & reassemble all furniture, even picked up garbage & brought downstairs to the basement! Completely A to Z service! Fast, reliable, professional ! Does Iak thanks to David( foreman of the job), extremely organized & knolegeble person! Highly, highly, highly recommend Admiral Van Lines . They are a scam!!
They give you an estimate and then before they bring your items from your move to your new address they give you the bill which was over 3 times the amount and then when it is customary to tip 5% of the total bill which was unbelievable to begin with the large Russian man demanded $100- for each of them and everything in cash which was never discussed. They want cash so you can’t despute it with your credit card company. I am a single women who was harassed and intimidated and bullied into paying this.
They told me they were going to send me a refund but it never happened. Never ever use this scammers.

I'm not review person and this is my first review ever on the site, but since Your site helped me find Admiral Van Lines, well, here I am. Plus, I loved Admiral Van Lines and would recommend them to everyone I know. Truly.

After I landed a new apartment a few weeks ago, I couldn't decide what was worse: the idea of corralling all my friends into an all-day moving affair or paying who-knows-how-much for movers. I decided to take the plunge with movers, and picked Admiral Van Lines after reading all the positive reviews and looking at his Website, which clearly states prices, etc. I emailed Admiral Van Lines, and he responded later that day. We went back and forth on the amount of stuff to be moved for a 1-bedroom to another 1-bedroom. He gave me an estimate of $750 for 3 guys with a truck, and confirmed a Saturday appointment.

His guys arrived exactly at 9 a.m. with furniture pads, straps for a heavy bookcase and a dolly truck. They got to work immediately carrying boxes to the truck, thanking me for being packed up. (I read moving web sites that said get everything you can into a box to speed things along.) They finished loading in, *gasp*, 2 hour and 30 minutes. At my new place, they were super careful with furniture around tight corners, asked me exactly where I wanted every piece of furniture and even plugged in my TV. I had some water and Gatorade on hand, and they were super polite and respectful the whole time, even noticing fresh grass clippings and looking around for a broom so they wouldn't track the grass into my new place.

Oh, and they were done by 2 pm., unloading everything in 2 hour. With travel time to and from wherever they keep their truck, my total for three hours of their time was $ 750. Yeah, you read that right. It was under the estimate, even with tip. Honestly, I can't recommend these guys more. If you're wondering if you should get movers, do it. Spare your friends and go with Admiral Van Lines.

1710.00 over the quoted price plus 150.00 tip per man and I bought them lunch. As they were leaving the head guy said" please don't tell the office how much you gave us. I want to use it to take the guys out to diner" They packed and moved me out of a 2 bedroom apartment. What a mess. Thing just thrown in boxes and all boxes marked Kitchen. Whey hen they got to my new apartment they just throw all the boxes in one room. I have to open eash box to see where it belongs. Then on top of it they took the leaves of of my dining room table a now I can't find then a 10 days later. A few things were broken and lost. Wort moving coming around. Dont use them.

I've moved a few times in the New York area and Admiral Van Lines has been the smoothest.

It's a small thing, but the initial highlight was Frank emailing me a few days before the move to confirm the timing. I was actually about to call Admiral Van Lines the same evening to confirm, and he beat me to it. I appreciate the diligence.

My wife and I ended up *mostly* packing our own stuff, but still had ~5-6 boxes of assorted junk in closets and also needed help with furniture, TVs, fragile glass shelves, pictures, etc. This was not an issue - the crew was happy to load the boxes we packed and had all my random junk packed into new boxes before I knew it.

Our movers were speedy, polite, and a lot of fun. They clearly enjoy their job and worked well together with joking and good-natured banter which had me laughing along with them throughout the morning. They were also respectful of our space, going out of their way to ask permission to use the restroom in both the apartment and the new house.

The crew emptied my apartment of our pre-packed boxes so quickly it was breath-taking, and got our furniture wrapped in blankets just as quickly. All told it took maybe 4 hours to load a (very crowded) 1000 sq.ft apartment.

They got to our new house very quickly and performed some minor wizardry getting the moving truck onto our small driveway after a tight turn onto the private road we share with a few other houses. I had been stressing about where they'd put the truck - for no reason, it turns out, because they managed just fine.

The crew unloaded in maybe 2 hours and were very patient with our uncertainty of where to put certain boxes and pieces of furniture. We asked them to switch the rooms of a dresser and a desk and they did so cheerfully and without complaining. They even set up my bed frame and mattress/box spring in the master bedroom, which is a first for my moves (I usually end up re-assembling the frame myself). They also set up my glass entertainment center (removable shelves), when in the past I've had to put the shelves back in myself. One of the guys was concerned because one of the shelves seemed loose and went out of his way to let me know, which was appreciated - turns out that the securing bolt had just fallen on the floor nearby and been missed.

I would call that going above and beyond with rectifying a mistake with integrity, and great customer service. I did not feel the need to call in afterwards.

The second "hiccup" is that the crew was about ten minutes late. This didn't bug me much because (sadly?) I'm used to it. However, when it came time to pay, Ahmad noted on the form that the move hadn't started until 8:15 and they were not billing me for the lost time, and that he wanted to apologize for the tardiness. I had completely forgotten that 8 hours ago they had been just a little late (we finished ahead of when I expected, anyway, even with the short delay), and I was impressed with the honesty. I would not have been shocked if another company had just claimed the move started as scheduled and left it up to me to deal with it.

Admiral Van Lines is clearly a company that puts a premium on customer satisfaction and doing business with integrity.

Moving can suck, but Admiral Van Lines will make sure you do it quickly and with a friendly, helpful crew.

We moved three times in the past three years, and Admiral Van Linesis by far the best experience I've had. These guys are FAST, careful, respectful, and have definitely earned their 5-star rating. I hired them based on their positive reviews and I'm happy to add my own.

I asked for a quote for a full pack and one without packing, hoping that I could come in somewhere in between (trying to save a buck here and there by packing some small items myself). They assured me that even if I made a reservation based on a full pack, it would be no problem to do work myself ahead of time and let them know before the move date so they could adjust the crew size if necessary.

For our two bedroom townhouse, they sent a group of 4 movers, which is more than I've had on any of my other moves (where the other companies only sent 2). They were able to split off into different rooms and get the remaining packing and loading done faster than I've ever seen. When they arrived at the new house they unloaded and reassembled the furniture even more quickly.
The best part: the final cost was *significantly* less than the original estimate. Part of that is due to me knocking out a time-consuming room like the kitchen myself, but the final cost was even lower than their without-packing estimate, even considering that they did pack a significant amount of items.

These guys are the definition of under-promising and over-delivering, and if I ever have to move again, Admiral Van Lines will have the job.

I have read many people complaining about how their valuables went missing during a move. Luckily, I faced nothing like that while Admiral van lines handled my move. The movers they sent were so experienced and extremely reliable. They packed everything efficiently and it come to fruition when they delivered each item unharmed to my new house. They didn't charge me a cent over the quote and in my book that is professionalism. I am smacked by how easy this move was. Or maybe I have very low standards!

I have to rate them, so I gove them one star, but for me, there is nothing positive to say about this company.
My move was an easy one, same state, from an appartment to a house 20 minutes distance between each of them, no tolls or traffic.
The day we were moving, the movers arrived 2.5 hours late. I had to call several times and when they finally got to my place, there was only one guy and the truck was not there. When the teuck arrived, they took the time to drink coffee and smoke outside even though they knew they were late.
My original quote was for 6 hours, which sounded fair.
Starting to pack, they didn't had enough covers to pack the furnitures so they used boxes. When they were done packing they showed me a bill of $1700 when my quote was 540$ usd. They charged $500 on packaging material because they didn’t had enough blankets and $100 of tolls and gas, even if the place where we moved had no tolls and was 20 minutes away from the original place. They charged 10 hours of labour because they took 1 hour and a half on a 20 minute drive, and every time they went down to load the truck they took 40 minutes because they were making pauses and smoking. And since the building I was moving feom asked for a proof of insurance, they sent the document to me but never mentioned this had an extra cost of almost $100 for me. I knew until I was reviewing the bill and complaining no one ever took the time or had the attention to tell us this.
Then, when they started unloading the truck, they were just dropping the boxes on the entrance, and while we were unpacking and asking them what was in the box, the answer was « I don't know, it’s your stuff ». They dropped a couple of night tables, they scratched furniture, they broke 2 chairs. And when we told them the answer was « take a picture and make a claim ». It was a real nightmare! They didn't disassamble or re assamble the furniture, saying « it wasn’t their job, when it was well written in the original quote.
I had to call 3 times the central. At the end, the bill dropped to $1,300, but still the service didn't get better, they were yelling at each others in russian and had the worst attitude.
When they finally left, they had the courage to ak for a Tip! Since we agreed to pay cash since the begining we told them they had their tip with all the time they took to load, drive and unload because all that time was charged to us. It is not the first time We move, but it is the first time moving is the worst nightmare! So if you get a quote from this company, I strongly recommend you to use another one. I read their reviews and seemed good, but now I regret my choise so if I can help someone to chose better than we did, I will be happy.

We hired Admiral Van Lines after big research( I always checked & compared 4-5 companies before to choose one).At first, we read reviews,than contacted all of them via email, got a quote, after that pick most reliable company of our choice. We spoke over the phone with the salesperson Andy ( very knowledgeable man), set up with him date/time of the move. Unfortunately, we have to rescheduled our move because of the closing delays- it was no problem.
At the day of the move crew of 3 people arrived on time( we set up at 8am). All process went nice & smooth , special thanks to the foreman David! Guys were really professionals! They’re disassamle some furniture, covered it with moving blankets & creates ( they’re been extremely careful with both: furniture & walls of the house). When we arrived to our new house ( prior of that movers asked me to follow the truck, so we’re arrived at the same time), guys quickly unloaded the truck, assemble furniture back to original, put boxes into the rooms it should be( I marked all boxes with the “names” of the room:” kitchen “/“living room”, etc. It was really great experience with such professional, reliable, dependable people . Highly recommend Admiral Van Lines to anyone, who are looking for hardworking respectable company.

I only wish I had done my homework better on this company. They are a total scam, the guy that came over to give me a quote Michael Napolitano told me I can pay by credit card at the time of my move. At no time did this company call me to let me know that I would have to pay cash at time of delivery. They charged me an additional 400 dollars in package fees. I had a bad feeling when these guys showed up and they didn’t even have a company truck. At no time during the moving process did they mention that I had to pay cash and when we got to our destination they said we had to pay cash or they were taking our stuff to a storage facility. Thank god I had family that was able to pull money see we can get our stuff. They left a total mess at the house then had the audacity to ask me for a tip when they were done. Please do not make the same mistake I did. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
