After all, posters can be a great way to decorate your living space and personalize it to your flawless taste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, you\u2019re moving all or most of your posters with you. In this case, how can you make sure they reach the new place 100% intact?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How do you pack your posters to eliminate the chance of any accidental damage during transit?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow the packing steps below to learn the best way to pack posters for moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"How_to_pack_non-framed_posters_when_moving\">How to pack frameless posters when moving<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have posters on the walls that are not framed, then follow these packing steps to protect them for the upcoming house move:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Step 1. BUY<\/strong> poster roll tubes for your non-framed posters. Such poster tubes \u2013 made from plastic or hard craft paper &#8211; will offer the best level of protection for your valuable posters and will ensure nothing bad happens to them on the road. Order your poster roll tubes online or purchase them from the nearest home improvement store. A basic poster tube costs around $4-$5.<\/li><li><strong>Step 2. PREPARE <\/strong>a stack of white, acid-free packing paper.<\/li><li><strong>Step 3. REMOVE <\/strong>the frameless posters from the walls. In most cases, they will be fixed to the walls with the help of pieces of tape or thumbtacks. Exercise extra caution to avoid tearing a poster accidentally during this step.<\/li><li><strong>Step 4. USE <\/strong>a tiny piece of tape to secure the open seam and keep it from unfolding inside the roll tube. Make sure the tape does not come into direct contact with the poster itself.<\/li><li><strong>Step 9. SLIDE IN <\/strong>the rolled poster inside the poster tube. Do this carefully to avoid damage.<\/li><li><strong>Step 10. PLACE <\/strong>a few pieces of soft packing paper on the top, if necessary, to serve as extra padding and prevent the poster from moving inside the tube during transport.<\/li><li><strong>Step 11. FIT<\/strong> the plastic end cap of the poster tube and use a bit of tape to secure it.<\/li><li><strong>Step 12. ATTACH <\/strong>a label to each tube to know which poster is inside. A picture box costs around $7 and comes in various sizes to fit your packing needs. If you\u2019re not sure about the size, then get adjustable picture boxes (consisting of four pieces that can be made to fit).<\/li><li><strong>Step 2. PREPARE<\/strong> large clean sheets of bubble wrap.<\/li><li><strong>Step 3. TAKE DOWN<\/strong> the framed posters from the walls and arrange them all on a large table or another flat surface.<\/li><li><strong>Step 4. USE<\/strong> a damp cloth to remove the dust (if any) from the frames. You can also use your vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to do the same thing.<\/li><li><strong>Step 5. CUT<\/strong> a piece of thick cardboard that matches the size of the frame. Then, use pieces of painter\u2019s tape to fix the cardboard cutout over the face of the frame to safeguard the plastic or glass sheet that\u2019s in front of the poster.<\/li><li><strong>Step 6. WRAP <\/strong>the entire framed poster in sheets of bubble wrap, then fix those protective sheets with tape.<\/li><li><strong>Step 7. INSERT <\/strong>the framed poster inside a medium or large picture box. If the poster is too big, then you should use an adjustable picture box to accommodate the frame.<\/li><li><strong>Step 8. DO <\/strong>a quick safety test. Lift the picture box and shake it slightly \u2013 the framed poster inside should not move at all.
