Hurricanes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The tropical climate in the state and its close proximity to the ocean put Florida at a high risk of natural disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Historically, the Sunshine State has the most hurricanes in the country. Needless to say, these severe tropical storms can be very destructive and disruptive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tornadoes are also common &#8211; they can occur all year round and cause all kinds of damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flooding is frequent and unpredictable and poses quite a threat to waterfront properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such calamities are one of the strongest reasons not to move to Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Too_many_tourists\">3. Too many tourists<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With more than 100 million visitors per year, Florida is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. The housing prices and cost of living have been steadily increasing in recent years and the traffic has become a nightmare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overcrowding is definitely reducing the quality of life in the state, so you may want to reconsider your desire to move to Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Dangerous_wildlife_and_plenty_of_bugs\">5. Dangerous wildlife and plenty of bugs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If snakes and bugs creep you out, Florida may not be a good place for you. There are a lot of reptiles, insects, and other creepy-crawlies in the state:<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alligators can be found anywhere in the state where there is water;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coyotes and other dangerous wild animals can be seen running around, even near big cities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Snakes are everywhere;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bugs are enormous and extremely annoying. And due to the heavy traffic and bad driving typical for the state, auto insurance tends to be rather high too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2) Florida\u2019s average crime rate is higher than the national average<\/strong>. While there can be quite a bit of crime in and around bigger cities, however, smaller towns are relatively crime-free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3) The quality of healthcare in the Sunshine State is lower than in most states<\/strong> and most of the healthcare facilities in Florida are rated below average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4) Public transportation is very limited <\/strong>&#8211; it&#8217;s virtually lacking outside the cities and even the big cities don\u2019t have many public transport options.
